It would better to be human than being an Indian
by Kamal on Feb 16, 2008 11:14 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

This is the need of the hour. Human values are drifting day by day. Whether you are Indian or Pakistani or American or French or English or German or Thai or Australian, what we have to practice is respecting human values.

Mumbai is what it is today because it is cosmopolitan
by Kalarab Ray on Feb 16, 2008 11:14 AM  Permalink

I hope all these 'so-called' Mumbaikars understand that Mumbai has become the commercial capital of India because people from different parts of India have moved and settled in Mumbai. Non-Maharashtrians have contributed at least as much as Maharashtrians have.

NORTH INDIAN OCCUPATION OF MAHARASHTRA IS COMPARABLE WITH WEST PAKISTAN OCCUPYING EAST PAKISTAN IN 1971
by Anand Vijay Khatavkar on Feb 16, 2008 11:11 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Actually if we study the Genesis of this event, we shall understand the reason of this occuring.

There is a tremendous disparity between North and South. While the North Indian States are eons behind the era, the South and West have progressed far ahead.

In a way the North Indian People who do not find jobs and Social Recognition in home states migrate towards Maharashtra for support.

The writing becomes clear, If we support them we are good. If we don't support you We are Bad.

Most of all the Intra-State Migration has happened only to Maharashtra in last 70-80 years, thereby spoiling the local social fabric.

The main reason for migration has been Food, Studies, Shelter and Social Protection.

There is a limit for acceptance of external migrations for OUTSIDERS by the local population.

If this fact is not considered and over-ruled, such disastrous incidences shall keep on happening all over again.

Moreover some Morons come to our land and form Lobbies of people who do not recruit locals.

By Opposing Maharashtrians in our own land, these illegitimate children of the land have proved to us their own worth.

No Maharashtrian shall willingly support others now, As the tide has been turning against the locals due to these illegitimate occupants and lobbyists.

The opportunities in Developed North Indian Cities are only for white collared rich people who are either from IT or at high Govt. posts. North India totally lack facilities for Middle class

Dear Mr. Anand,

Should I drive out from Kolkata:
(a) the Marwari trader who has a shop in my locality
(b) the Oriya government official whose son plays with my son
(c) the Keralite insurance agent who helps me with investment tips
(d) the Marathi software professional who is my colleague in my office?

Just because they are not Bengali!

You must be crazy!!

hello

I can tell you that the maharshtrian staying besides you will respect your culture, will try to speak your language if he cant he will atleast respect it. will be humble and polite and most importantly he will not be the one who will be snatching away your jobs and creating filth in Benglaruu. Mr Sreevathsa maharashtrians do not have a problem with educated people coming and getting a job on ther merit, the problem is when there is a lobby which is present in Maharashtra for outsiders who deny every oppurtunity for the locals and ensure that the job goes to someone from UP or Bihar. and trust me Benglaruu is the next detination for them

Detoxify your mind and soul. Do a deep introspection. Start thinking for entire planet and mankind. Your poisonous thought will sublime. God bless you.

Its these Indians(north) only who have enabled development of the state. Flourishing trade is an attraction, enabling the trade to flourish is important.
So respect them, as well as others who have migrated for betterment of all.

tit for tat reaction will only make the matter worse.

The movement started by MNS is political in nature. We should not get carried away cos we know how devoted they are to national cause.

We must speak our own mind....

Exodus from Nashik
by Milton Lawrence DSilva on Feb 16, 2008 11:05 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Now that several thousand North Indians have fled from Nashik due to the threats from MNS activists, the least these people can do is to fill up the vacancies from the ranks of 'unemployed' Maharashtrians. They can also try to see if amy 'Marathi Manoos' wants to work at the tabelas in Goregaon, dhobi ghats of Mahalakshmi and the the thousangs of handkarts plying fruits, vegetables and plastic knock knacks...

Future of Mumbai?

Implementing Raj's Rule

In mumbai

If there is cricket match : All players in indian team should be locals only.icc should select only marathi umpires.

If movie is released: Only marathi actors should be selected.Akbar & Jodha should speak in Marathi only.

Nano car launched: License given to marathis only.Car should be renamed as "Lahan gaadi"

New MNC's Companies setting up offices:Should have only have marathi employees, qualified or not,all business must be done in marathi.

I support your anguish and anger at such reactions from Marathi people which includes me.

However, I request you not to hate us or react in the same manner. we all are educated and love our nation.

The correct answer to tackle this problem is to start economic centres at various locations in India so that no one particular place gets crowded. Such centres should be even opened in remote places such as Bihar, Assam, Orissa, North-east and not only in Metros which have exhausted their capacities.

When the other parts of the country will prosper??

I also join you in condemning any sort of violence against anybody.

Love India. More than anything.

And more vigourously now.
