Please accept my respect and compliments for your message. I understand how deep you got hurt with the acts of fellow Indians from Maharastra. But lets not worry, the boding of Indianness is very strong and many invaders & traiters tired to divide this Indianness since centuries, but failed. Instead this become stronger with each such invasion. The history is the proof that after each invasion or such incidents small kingdoms united to become small states, smaller states united to become provinces and small provices united to become a United India. So the spirit of India is Bharat. Even when it was divided in small kingdoms, all kingdoms felt proud to be a part of Bharat.
Some antinational elements, with the support of foreign money creating these disturbaces. But the effect of such actions has short life and results are better for India & Indianness, because they hurt all true Indians and they regret afterwards and try to become better Indian.
My compliments to you - 'you are a true Indian' and 'me too'

Tarunji its good to point out the problems but we need solutions and cause of problems. After Congress Nehru family took over the country should have beedn decalred as hindu country but nehru having muslim blood also same with indira with isamic blodd in vains decided against it . Not only this they created all kind of flaws and regulations to divide hindus in cast and muslim by religion. Today we are at the path we have no idea whats comming what congress is playing game its hard to understand by a simple man as all govt workers are part of the congress machinary as all worker who are suppose to take care of the country are taking care of neghru gandhi family. Shame on intellecutals. Solutionis congress hsould eb desolved . New constitutions b eformed based on our ancient culture allare safe but no out sider can dominant . Its time to rise and unite

kudos to you maaan. MERA BHARAT MAHAN. ,meanwile replying to arp.. to hell with laloo and others.. we have empowered them.. its our mistake. why blame the demon.. its our making..;)
people working in other state is not good for that State? then how, other countries people working in other countries? I am working Eight our in a Software company is not good for a company. I am saving money for my own wish is bad for company. I am staying in an other State,I have to invest money for logging cooking, surviving in other I am investing a lot of money is not enough for that country
No educated UPite ever goes to Bombay as there are plenty of jobs in IT and BPO in NOIDA/Greater NOIDA. Cheaper houses , broader roads, bigger grander Malls , transport... all these idiots who think that Bombay is attracting people must go to NOIDA/Gaziabad etc to see what real progress and planned development is. In fact NOIDA attracts more migrant workers from Bihar than Bombay does. Educated people have been leaving rest of the country for sometime now to buy property and stay in NOIDA/Greater NOIDA and even Guragon ( Haryana ). This is 2008 and not 1998.
The people who are currently there are people who shifted 5- 10 years back.

Good if you have left Mumbai, take some more of your people away from here. Good for us, good for you. Also call Mulayam, Laloo, and other jokers more regularly so that they can plan and send their people over there, Noida is closer to their states and there will be happiness all around.

NOIDA is UP ..... UP divas is a creation of some crazy guys. I don't even know when it occurs. I am a UPite myself and saw chhat pooja for the first time in NOIDA this year- I had no idea what it is as I had lived in south all along. It is good to see Bihari people developing some pride in their culture instead of hiding their customs out of a sense of inferiority complex. We should be happy they have developed that confidence and some people seem to just be happy suppressing them.

That is what I meant, A S. Nobody wants to suppress anyone. Let everyone celebrate and live in harmony.

Raj is a fad that will disappear in a few months.
Don't let him tarnish the Marathi image in your mind.
Maharashtra is more cosmopolitan than any other part of India. That is the proof of the openness of Maharashtrians and we should raise a toast to that.
No other certification is required.
Even today, no non-Punjabi shop can succeed in Amritsar, vehicles with non-Karnataka number plates are vandalized in Bangalore, and you are treated differently if you do not speak Bengali when you are in Kolkata.
This is the reality and I think in all fairness, the Maharashtrians deserve to be praised for their openness.
Raj Thakeray is a fad that will pass away in a few months.

Yes, it is only a political drama with numbered days. The true spirit of the people will remain.

congratulations.. good message. appreciate.. yes kudos to maharastrians.. for this.. and for mentioning raj as a err fad..
I support your anguish and anger at such reactions from Marathi people (I am Marathi, too, but first I am an Indian)
However, I request you not to hate us or react in the same manner. we all are educated and love our nation. Decide whether you want divisive politics to succeed??? if yes...go on rampage...if no...ignore such elements and remain united...
The correct answer to tackle this problem is to start economic centres at various locations in India so that no one particular place gets crowded. Such centres should be even opende in remote places such as Bihar, Assam, Orissa, North-east and not only in Metros which have exhausted their capacities.
When the other parts of the country will prosper?? Why burden Mumbai, Bengalore, Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata...only??? Come on the problem is observed in all metros..not only in Mumbai...
I also join you in condemning any sort of violence against anybody.

Sensible post. Unless every place develops this problem will show up in one place or the other.
I completely agree with Tarun Vijay. If people in other states do the same things to Maharashtrians, then they can not move anywhere else in India but to stay back in Maharashtra only. So,they should realise at least now. People like Thackarey do these kinds of activities for publicity and vote hunt. Raj wants to show his muscle and tries to win over hos own uncle Mr.Bal Thackarey and his Shiv sena. Raj was seen no where after he split from Shiv Sena. Suddently, he sees an opportunity in declaring himself as "Maharashtrian saviour" and tries to become popular among maharashtrian voters. This is the same tactics which were adopted long ago by the DMK party of Tamil Nadu to win vote banks from congress and they still do this in the low-scale even now. Hope the Maharashtrians will not fall prey to these power monkers. I appreciate Mr.Tarun Vijay for his very good article and we also share his concerns. Everyone should feel that they are Indians and not restricted themselves to regionalism. Rajasekara reddy has been doing wrongful acts for many years now. He politicised the whole Sri.Thiruppathi temple and he still wants to spoil the institution because he strongly beleive in christianity and NOT Indian-ness. The people like Rajasekara reddy, Karunanidhi, etc should NOT be allowed to hold high positions lile chief minister. They divide and rule the Indian society for just votes and Money. Nothing else. We badly need a constitutional amendment to delete article 370.
hmm going by things.. it seems like very soon we will be having H1B visas for working and staying in mumbai. the visas will be issued by mns and auctioned (off course black market) hmmmm.. same all over the world.. those who dont belong to any state (like born in one state and worked in another) will be bundlded up and will stay in refugee camps.. so folks this is where we are heading... dont cut ur nose to spite ur face

I think a work permit for Mumbai is required to control the influx - for all language speakers including Maharashtrians from outside Greater Mumbai.
How are you otherwise going to save this great city?

A work permit is related to appointment order. What about unorganised labour which appears to be the root of the problem? Paperwork is useless in India.

I think the best way is to move out the industries out of mumbai.. wat is it that mumbai offers that hyderabad doesnt.. they have a brand ne large airport in the outskirts..!>. and wat has mumbai done yet... i am afraid a time will come when mumbai will be looking for investments and none will be coming. no substantian improvements in infrastructure.. and problem makers like raj. i am afraid to say with things continuing like this... we might become like another kolkatta.
