The authors organization (RSS) divides people on the basis of religion and preaches communalism (specially against Muslims and Christians).

When MNS divides people on basis of region then the author says it is wrong.

What a hypocrite!

North Indians in Maharashtra
by Aditya Arun Ambardekar on Feb 16, 2008 11:39 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Its pathetic how people get easily influenced. I am Marathi man, from Maharashtra. I am not against North Indian Community. In fact I feel proud othat Marathi people have infact treated as their integral part in almost all parts of Maharashtra. I don't seeMarathi people have not mistreated North Indians (in general /overall).I don't think Marathi people ostracizing NI commnity. political statements should not disturb peace/harmony.
Ofcourse there will be concerns whenever immigrants have increasing population. But it is a social and human part when it comes to survival.
I feel sad the way some North Indian people (may be not all ) in maharashtra are expressing their concerns over Raj Thackerays statements. But I hardly hear any North Indian making any remarks about Abu Azmees statements (supplying lathis).
I would like to appeal North Indian community if they wish to criticize, they might wish to see both sides. They could imagine if they were Marathi and a politician making statement abt supplying lathees.
Comments and replies appreciated for debate.

RE:North Indians in Maharashtra

Very true Aditya, We must see both sides of the coin. Rotten politicians like Thakrays, Abu Azmis, Laloos and Advanis who gain by dividing people on the lines of religion, region and language must disposed off to trash. I am from Himachal and in my state we have great respect for people from all other states. We have Subhas chandar bose nagar, we have shiva ji parks, We have Ras Bhihari Bose chowk etc. etc. We love Lata Mangeshkar. We go crazy when Sachin, Sourav, Rahul win matches. We have a chapter in our school text where we learn how Chatrapati Shiva Ji treated a muslim queen of a defeated muslim state in medieval India. And now people like Thakrays have created senas in the name of great Shiva Ji and their goons are openly beating, slapping people from other states. I am sure majority of Maharashtrians who are among most progressive and liberal people don't approve of people like Thakrays and their despicable brand of politics. After all for all these decades they sure have brought tonnes of shame and destruction for Maharashtra.

We don't give damn to what people like Raj and Abu Azmee. But when people start following them. It was horrifying how people from UP and Bihar were forced to leave Maharashtra. Loacl marathi, police and the government were mute spectator supporting the cause internally. North Indians do not give a damn to what Abu Azmee says. But now if people like Raj step up and stop people form celebrating from Chatt puja, then that is not acceptable. Every festival is getting politicized in Mumbai and not just Chatt. It was Raj who first blew up the issue of chat puja.

When i was in school, i was taught how great country India is because she is united with so much diversified culture.

If they still have that in school books - it is a big tamasha - as long as people support idiot and scums like Raj - there is only one solution - let us give independence to each state - jai hind

Is thackrey clan jealous of Marathi Patil President of India
by D S on Feb 16, 2008 11:31 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Are thackrey jealous of Marathi Patil President of India, Home Minister and even Raj the CM of Rajasthan from Maharastra!!

No place for peshwa Thacrey clan in India? Deleting message will not hide it.

RE:Why are UP and Bihar underdeveloped

Why kick your good kismat in South and Maharastra when others are coming your way and not the other way around.

RE:THIS IS THE TIME TO COME ALL MAHARASHTRAINS

Don't move in that direction.

This will lead to making MNS as terrorist organization and would change India focus from Pakistan to the central India and put millions of lives at stake.
There will be peace after bloodshed like Lebanon or Palestine?
This will also impact the major tech hubs to be wiped out and moved elsewhere to places where the migration is happening from.
It is your choice to change your fortune the other way that Raj and Thackrey clan so desperately wants.
Imagine, ISRO, BARC...HAL..and tech. moved for security reasons.

Thackrey cannot openly state their resent about Patil's being at the top post, I don't know if Vasundra Raje is still CM of Rajasthan.
Where are the old peshwas now, that is the reason for all the troubles from behind Marathi back.

Could lead to branding organizations like MNS as terror outfits...something that RSS and Shiv Sena barely escaped.

PUNE - If you live in these areas, beware!
by fire desire on Feb 16, 2008 11:16 PM  Permalink

PUNE: Citizens better watch out, particularly if you live any of the 18 localities which has been identified by the city crime branch as %u2018most prone%u2019 to house break-ins and thefts (HBTs).

An analysis of 1,300 HBTs reported in 2007 by the crime branch has revealed that it is not just the fringe areas, such as Chinchwad village, Nigdi, New Sangvi, Dhankawadi and Mithanagar, but upmarket areas like Shivajinagar, are also prone to house break-ins. These are the localities that figure prominently in the list prepared by the crime branch.

Other areas include Pimpri-Chinchwad New Town Development Authority (PCNTDA), Bhosari, Hadapsar, Wanowrie, Old Sangvi, Kalewadi, Aundh, Yerawada, Bibvewadi, Tingrenagar and Kondhwa.

In fact, Chinchwad village, Nigdi, PCNTDA, Hadapsar and Wanowrie had reported over 20 HBTs each in 2007.

The remaining localities saw between 10 to 20 cases of thefts and house break-ins last year. There are 50 more areas, such as Sadashiv Peth, Nana Peth, F.C. road, Prabhat road, J.M. road, Sinhagad road, Maharshinagar and Handewadi, among others, which reported between 5 to 10 HBTs in 2007.

The common modus operandi employed by thieves was breaking locks or cutting window grills to enter the house.

Other methods deployed were breaking door latch, use of duplicate keys to open locks and driving holes in the walls of jewellery shops.

about the inner line permit and article 370
by ashish sinha on Feb 16, 2008 11:02 PM  Permalink

why is our government so foolish:

1. By upholding aticle 370, it has facilitated alientaion of Kashmir from rest of nation. Today you find no corporate India in Kashmir. Also the demographics have chnaged favourably towards alienation from India. On the otherhand, Pakistan on its part of kashmir has allowed people from all parts of pakistan to settle. Why should we still hold on to high morals and not be realistic ?

2. By upholding inner line permits for north eastern states, we are strengthening the cesessionist forces in north east.

3. Its a prime example of our folishness that even after 60 years of independence, we have just one highway connecting north east to rest of india. A country with commonsense would have had a borad bunch of Swanky highways passing thru the chickens neck for good connectivity. Why is common sense so uncommon for us.

In a world where India needs to be strong, its sad that we can we so foolish to not see that our nation needs to be homogeneous and strong.
