Where is the love?

Caste system is killing UP and Bihar.
by Kumar on Feb 24, 2008 06:18 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Caste system is killing UP and Bihar. It is the fundamental reason for backwardness of these states. The south Indian states and even Gujarat and Maharashtra to some extent have weakened the evil caste system and built better societies. The question is are the people from UP and Bihar specially the upper caste going to do some retrospection or are they going to continue being racist and keep on fanatically supporting the caste system. What goes around, come around, the racist treatment these guys meted out to people from their own states is being meted to them from the people of Maharashtra. With rise in income of people from Maharastra and their stomachs being full, they have moved to the next level, hate. But I dobt the fanatic supporters of caste system from UP and Bihar are going to do anything about dismentling the caste sytem. In their family of 10 people they will continue to identify with the 2 fair color long nosed people, cooling ignoring rest of the 8 people who don't have fair color and long nose and resemble the lower castes. Living in thier blind ego-mania and self-denial they will continue to support the caste system, till the entire population of UP and Bihar is labelled as the new dalits of India.

by Manjula A on Feb 23, 2008 11:00 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

So now, after incidences of people blonging to UP and Bihar are beaten up, he realises that being an Indian is not enough. He didn't realise that when six women were stripped raped and burnt in Public in khairlonji, he didn't realise that when a tribal girl was sripped and chased on a public road. HOW SHAMELESS NICKERWALAS CAN BE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So... what do you want? Drive NICKERWALAS out of india? May be give them another country...

Crime is everywhere... so is in Bihar and is in Mumbai too. Branding them as NICKERWALAS is not a solution.

People like you spread hatred. Shame on you ...

Integration of Immigrant is the key for peace and harmony...
by shailendra on Feb 23, 2008 12:25 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Migration is putting growing strains on rich and poor countries alike, according to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). The OECD boss, Angel Gurria, says that rich country governments need to do more to help immigrants integrate and make better use of their skills, which will improve economic prospects and reduce backlashes against immigrants.

The case of Maharastra (rich state) and Bihar (poor state) are not much different. I hope some political party will understand this and bring integration programm for immigrant indians.

a secure provincial identity makes for a solid national identity
by Pradip Parekh on Feb 22, 2008 11:04 PM  Permalink

the two are not in conflict. a well self-realized hindu man doing hindu meditating in the solitude of the narrow confines of his modest hindu dwelling comes out with the amazing idea of "world is one family". a hindu person has no trouble learning several languages and assuming several identities and be at peace with himself and his environment and neighbors. all he needs - which he is shy to ask about - is for a breathing room and protection from goondas.

"North indian are trying to make maharashra into Hindi Speaking State"... This is not true. Hindi is spreading only because of Bollywood movies and Hindi TV channels.

Why don't you guys, ban production and showing of Hindi movies in Mumbai? Kolkata will be happy to welcome the Bollywood folks.

How much money is Mumbai getting out of the Hindi movies? All the money flows from whole of INDIA and not only from Maharastra.

Do you know that ancestors of our national hero Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj also came from outside Maharashtra? He mentions himself in one letter that "I am a Rajput".

Do you know that after the debacle of Maratha federation by East India Company, where did the Leader of All Maratha forces was forced to take shelter? UP will always be proud that Nana Saheb took seat in Bithur near Kanpur. Back then, UP never asked the question you are asking.

During 1857, the people of UP and Bihar rose to fight against British, and had no hesitation in joining forces under Maratha leaders Nana Saheb Peshwa, Tatya Tope, and Rani Lakshmi Bai - all of who were living in UP.

Kaviraj Bhushan who has immortalized Chhatrapati Maharaj's deeds in the people's hearts through his poetry, was also not a Marathi - neither his poems written in the court of Shivaji were in Marathi. Instead Shivaji's cort poet Bhushan wrote in Braja Bhasha - that of a part of UP.

Holkar and Sindhia etc set up their seats in Gwalior and Indore respectively. MP peopel welcomed it. Or did they say why these people are here to make MP a Marathi speaking state!

what more can I say to what you said: Why Rest Of India Carry "Load" of BIMARU state, that you don't even know the very basic history and culture.

Good lucj my fried. Please open your eyes and see that what values and culture Maharshtra cherishes, rest of India shares too. It is called Hindu or Indic culture.
