Hey guys, Do you know the mentality of an US Worker. They never work after 8 hours. No matter what, they work 8 hours (sincerly) and then Go home and spend time with family. They take leaves which are allowed and go for vacation. Sameway they spend their weekends with family not by boozing and in friends room. These are in Executive level. When you go to PM level, they work hard to complete the project and complete the business needs. They work for more hours but in flexi hours. Work from home concept is very popular there. They travel 2 hours for work

but in indian side, we work for 10 to 12 hrs daily just to impress boss and get hike, Travel 2-3 hours daily, on weekends also we come to office (without a call). Never be with family. Then tell me how can u spend time with family.

Hi guys, you are absolutely correct, but you have to think about your planning done by Your Manager. Indian BPO's want to impress the client, for example, in US the same job can be done in 1000 hrs, in India the manager will estimate for 200 hrs to impress client and also get quick money. This will have huge stress with the people. This attitude has to be changed, then only you can avoid stress. And also, I have noticed, people doesn't start work for atleast 3 hrs of their arrival, they go for long breaks, chit chatting and so on. They will start working from after 2.00 pm say exm. they wont finish the task at 6.00 pm, so they have to stay and work late, this concept has to be changed. In US, people start working when they walk in to the office and work until 8 hrs. That is the different. So in order to relive stress, one must consider the planning the job and execute it perfectly. Then you wont have stress. Working late and impressing Manager wont resolve the issue.

Also I noticed if you work more hours, people cannot produce good quality work. work effeciently and timely manner you will achieve it. You will be relived from the stress. This is my advice to you all.

You can always express to your manager that this job will require this many hours of effort, so you will have to increase the delivery date by few more weeks or months. Ask your manager to give realsitic date not a junk date. That will help you in reliving stress.

Preeti, you can't say that citizens of US have no stress. Instead they are planned. They work for some hours, relax, then work!!. And the most important thing here is that they won't work in the weekends, will spend their time with family and never think abt office. As said THEY ARE ALWAYS PLANNED!!!!. But we Indians don't plan often!!!!

Bangalore- suicide capital
by Vijayalakshmi on Mar 02, 2008 05:36 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

It is essential to introduce Yoga and Bhagawad Gita to the students right from Class 2 or 3. Other religionists might opt for their religious study, if they want. But Bhagawad Gita is relevant for all times and for all people who have open minds. It will surely prevent pschological problems in later lives.Hindu parents should contact Hindu organizations to conduct these classes in their neighbourhoods.IT industry must streamline their working hours. The Govt must step in here to stipulate the working hours-only 8-10 hrs.

Yoga: COMPLETELY AGREED
Its not bhagavat gita or religious texts that one should follow but the values that instill..
all text whether quran, bible, gita, bhagavatam, mahabharat(tho epic) has gr8 values in it
but ppl tend to bend it to their own needs

Vijayalakshmi!
Agreed! But It is better the Parents Teach It.

But People Born Between 1940-1975 think Bhagawad Gita and other books are for Old age to realise God.
Actually, These Books are for Living a Better Life. Not having a Better Death.

Bangalore will be capital for all..why just suicides? It will be a crime capital in the days to come. We people unnecessarily blame politicians. Who is stopping these police depts and other govt. agencies from stopping crimes or traffic nuisance?
