Very simple. Just to divert the attention from the internal problems of Pakistan. They already in bad shape. And we dont want a weak nation next to us. That has a negative effect. And that what you see now in their action.

They are testing missiles one after another no matter chinese or some other brand. And only god knows what our politicians are busy with. Our air force is getting out of date.Yes I agree su,s, mig-29s, Mirage-2000 are up to date but the strike force which consists of mig-21 to mig-27 are outdated.lca project is delayed. From last 8 years our politicians can not finalize the deal for 126 fighter aircrafts which iaf needs as soon as possible stop the decline in
squardon numbers.Mig-35 and Eurofighter are the best options.Mig even has offerd the technology transfer.then why such delays.

India missed the chance during Kargil War
by MOHAN V on Feb 13, 2008 04:45 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

If India went ahead in striking terrorists training camps in POK during Kargil War... then no one would dare to blink against us... we would have reclaimed many areas .... it will sent out a strong message to world particulary china and bangladesh who are playing cheap tactics with us...

thats well-said. But then, India's economy would no doubt have been crippled by the drain of resources. And there is that probability of China interfering to help Pakis.

Anyway, am sure Vajpayee would have considered all options. (only thing is we, Indians are generally righteous(except BCCI) and soft hearted- Sensitive to other's comments on us)

Independence & Competition
by Inca on Feb 13, 2008 04:21 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Every country has their independence to strengthen their military power and pump up their arsenal. So apparently their is nothing wrong with this test.

But unfortunately, whenever they tests some borrowed Chinese/Nkorean missiles, they always limit themselves within a range of 20-500km which only covers India. So the reality is they are modernising their stock only to target India. What a pity. They have got a lots of other prominent threats like Israel, China, US. Yes this is true - they are the next target of US govt.

But the most dangerous part of the story is something different. The govt. is just a puppet of ISI and there are extremist everywhere in the country. Even Taliban, Lashkar and Al-Queida is also too dominating in their internal politics and very close to ISI. So all such missiles and bombs are actually a stock pile to boost these militants and the actual treat is on us Indians.

So what next ? Invade Pakistan. Kill such extremists one by one & seize all such weapons.

Now there is also a positive side of such militant prosperity. If they continue to flourish, they must hit Indian cities/towns and that will kill millions of Indians. May be this way we would be able to stop our dangerous rate of population growth.

We do not require any out sider to reduce our population. Our political leaders are good enough to let our people die for their small political gain whether it is Assam, WestBengal,J&k,Gujrat and now latest in Maharashtra. Why blame pakistan or any body else while we already have so many enemies around us.
