Lot of Mumbai s problem is India s problem in general. There problems needs to be indentified and solved by policy driven approach alined with Consititution. Current political turmoil reveal immaturity of so called political leaders. They should take lessons from Narendra modi ( minus Godhara). Political issues should not necessarily be against public benefits, they can be aligned. There are good people and bad people in all cast and region, most people will choose honesty if they are given a choice. We are still far away from a state where every one has a means to earn sufficient money honestly. Till that time let us recognize that fact and work towards it. MNS could have taken up issues in a more constructive way with out Marathi Manoos crap.

You are right the current political turmoil does reveal immaturity of so called political leaders.
Isn't it surprising that while our young women and men have risen to head MNCs abroad, in politics of the country the entire youth brigade -- not just Uddhav and Raj -- is so depressing.
They are all, without exception, those in whose mouths silver spoons have been thrust by circumstances.
We know them only by such actions; not their new ideas but their surnames which they flaunt and lug along as if it were some hallowed hand -bag.
While their photogenic faces offer some sort of an illusion of youth they are far from being representive of a newness. In this age of re- makes that's what they are. Just a re-make of the old themes of the past.
They represent spurious change and even more, spurious continuity. They are nothing more than progeny of our fuddy-duddy past.
To see them as a hope for our future is to thrust our need to a change-for-the better on completely undeserving shoulders.

Here in UAE the ration between out siders and Locals is about 3:1. Here nobody even think about even juming a red light. Why ? just because of good governance. Our politicians wait until our society brews some problems then they come only to play as brockers.

your post is useless without a clear acknowledgement of the ground reality that there is such a thing as northern goondaism of serous concern in mumbai which mostly contains muslims aligned with mulla mulayam singh.

If what you are saying is true indeed then it needs to be addressed, but first let everyone know what are the ground on which you are arriving at this conclusion. And also suggest a policy driven solution which is in alignment with constitution.

well Said Pradip Parekh. Only Muslim North Indians who are gondas have created this fight. Good Logic Keep it up. Shiv Sena and BJP will win the next election in Maharashtra.

Now maharastra will be known for gundaism of MNS just like S.P in U.P.
When thousands of non-Maharashtrians are compelled to leave Mumbai with their families, and they are threatened with life by Raj Thackeray`s MNS supporters, Congress in the State and at the Centre should feel ashamed. Although I always supported the Congress so far,I now agree with BJP, and feel that they would most certainly have arrested Raj immediately. I know Congress is not going to rule this country or this State again for atleast next 50 years, because they are spineless and lack courage even when they are right and are convinced that their action would best serve India. If immediate action is not taken, Congress can hasten the fragmentation of this country. May be,all northern and southern States would think of coming to Mumbai in large, organized groups and rightfully take revenge. Our judiciary has forgotten all about judicial activism called for in this instance. Yes, this country is being let down by total inaction by the Congress. Even now, Congress/UPA must go ahead with nuke deal, break away from NCP, send army (not only paramilitary forces)and uphold law and the Constitutiona even if the goonda elements in large numbers are killed. Only then will we learn to respect law in this country.Merely an intellectual talk on law and order will not save this country. The law dictates that murderers m ust be killed and goondas must be punished severely.
one cant blame only northies for all the mismanagement of the city. if they only r to b blamed for non-observance of the law, etc. even maharashtrians r equally responsible for non-following of rules. if maharashtrians say northies r goondas, then what abt arun gawlis, amar naiks, chhota rajans (nikhalje), maya dolas, etc.
There is a limit to how many people Mumbai or Maharashtra can accomodate. Certainly these places cannot accomodate all of Bihar and UP and the question is why should they ?? Has anybody thought about this ?? It is high time that we the people of this country decide on this issue which has serious implications on all areas that affect quality of life. Raj Thakerey's protest against UP and Bihars ( not all Northies as media says) is the first step in that direction. So why should Raj be blamed ?? When DMK supports LTTE why is there no concern about regionalism ?? When Akalis install the portrait of Gernail Singh Bihdrawale in Dam Dami Taksal ( who wanted to break up India) why was there chilly silence among the desh Bhakts ?? When Bengalis openly rioted to protest against exclusion of Saurabh Ganguly from Indian Cricket team where were the those who cry foul agaist regionalism ?? The truth is people from UP and Bihar have swamped the states like Delhi, Orissa, Assam, Maharashtra and Rajasthan. Wherever they go they start behaving like they are in Azamgarh or Siwan. They do not respect the culture in which they go. Raj Thakeray's fight is against those that want to convert maharahstra into azamgarh or Siwan. This fight is not for jobs or resources but to maintain local culture and avoid lawlessness of UP and bihar. Lalu and Amarshing should take a drown in chulu bhar pani because it is their failure that people from UP and BIhar are flocking to other states. What have they

There is a limit to how many people Mumbai or Maharashtra can accomodate (CONTD...) What have they done to improve the situation in UP and Bihar ?? Before commenting on what is right and wrong these leaders should get out of their AC cars and mix with common people instead of partying with bollywood celebrities . Just ask people of Orrisa, Delhi, Assam, Rajasthan about people from UP and Bihar and you will know why the Raj Thakeray got so much support. As for Abu he is ISI agent and a traitor. He incited muslim mob in mumbai to riot that directly lead to death of two policemen last year. People have not forgotten this traitor.

dude, u wrote so much, but then ,is it going to help ?
BJP being a national party has a duty before blaming others. We all know Raj is a monkey. Let's not talk about him. Let BJP take following assurances from Biharies and UP walas to stop Marathi anger : Now onwards they will not take a lotta in the morning and go to railway track Now onwards they will not use gali-galoch in daily life Now onwards they will not attempt Chanakya politics with local people Now onwards they will appear in well dress and friendly smiles and Now onwards they will not talk about their leaders back home.

Godzila Guru, one can be perdoned for taking a lotta if he/she has no toilet. But these Bhaias ! They don't just beleive in toilet ? Similarly lower class marathies may use abusing languages, which is common to all poor in India, but high and top class Bhaias love to use gali-galoch as their birth right. I am talking about them.

true, BJP is opposed to raj thakrey but they are not opposed to shivsena which has same policy see this paragraph of news
He, however, refused to comment specifically on ally Shiv Sena's warning that it will not tolerate workers 'brought from outside' for modernisation of the Mumbai airport.
These cheappoltiians fall back on constitution to make some point.Where is Indian constitution when polcie takes hafta and harasses innocent citizens and hobnobs with criminals. The lawyers go on strike and cheat their clients.judges work for 190 days a year and fail to deliver justice and in time.Does Indian constituion say that unprodcutive and corrupt civil servants should not be dismissed?Does consitution allow rapes, prostituition and bribes? Did constiution allow endless dividing of india on caset lines and relgion and minorities. Why should mumbai be made a filthy city? Can it take more migrants? Why governements have failed in last 60 years to develop other trade centres? Why governmetns have failed to provide justice on demand and house on demand?Does constiution also allows crminals and thugs standing inelections and ruling the country in various parts?Allparties be it congress or BJP or BSP or SP are thoroughly corrupt ,boneless and threat to nation,.raj thackerya type guys are small fries and can be crushed in no time. But who wants?they are products of these same corrupt parties and their blessings and hiobniobbing.if Ciongress is No1 in damaging the society,BJP comes next and so on....It is time people udnerstand this and hit back. These cheap guys have had fun for 60 years./Now they should give replies and face action for wholesale damage to country and its people.Shut up all of them! Why Supreme or High court are not acting in Public interest and constitution!
It is all a political stunt from and MNS!!! It is in this terrible state because of Media who has become soo biased. I also agree that any Indian has a right to earn his living in any part of the country but should respect the law of land and contribute to the place as it is a part of his own country...if a UPite dosent respect a Maharashtrian or visa versa is not acceptable as all Indians are Brothers and Sisters...this social sense of belonging need to be inculcated into people and media has to be un-biased fro this!!!

WHEN HAS A UPITE NOT RESPECTED THE MAHARASTRIAN.THESE GUYS ONLY HAVE NO RESPECT ONLY FOR LAW BECAUSE UP & BIHAR ARE LAWLESS AND THE MUMBAI POLICE & BMC WHICH HAS MAHARASTRIANS ARE TOO BUSY COLLECTING HAFTAS RATHER THAN DOING THEIR DUTY.FURTHER DO YOU THINK RAJ THACKERAY RESPECTS THE LAW.IF HE DID THIS PROBLEM WOULD NOT ARISE.

Where the hell does this need come up suddenly, to respect Marathis ? And who is Raj Thakre to preach others ? Everyone can see what's happening for last few days, media is just bringing it to public. Are you too one of Thakre's chamchas or is it just that you are a Marathi ?
