This is completely insane and uncalled for. We blame britishers of using divide and rule, what are shiv sainiks doing. Also dont they realise that there are maharastrians who live and work outside Maharashtra, what if other states decide to behave the same way and throw them out. I agree the government is just for a names sake in India. Politicianns are following the divide and rule policy among fellow Indians as well. Raj Thackerey has resorted to very cheap publicity.They have not thought of the Maharashtrians staying in the other states.This comment has lead to violence against the Maharashtrians in the other states.

It is enough norties must understand to give respect to the culture of the state where they reside.
All this time we have been divided on religion, caste, language etc etc. For the first time we are divided between civilized and uncivilized. Uncivilized meaning BHIMARU indian haryanavis and civilized (the rest of india).
For the past few days, this mayhem is going on unabated in Mumbai against the north Indians. The Raj Thakery is still free roaming in the streets of Mumbai directing his hooligans to let loose the terror on the innocent vendors and others in the name of Marathi Manoos. The government is impotent there not taking any action against the culprits saying that the arrest of Raj will make him heroes. No action will send wrong signal to others to carry on their attack unabated. See what happend now. They are attacking the vendors and earlier as was seen the TVs that the innocent passengers in a suburban train were identified and severely beaten. Government in Maha and at the Centre should not forget that it is their duty to protect the lives and properties of the people wherever they are. They are Indians first and last. Where this word came from North or south or central. These thugs in Mumbai are using this as they are jealous of the economic development of these people. If the people of Maha are not making enough money, it is not the fault of others who are toiling day and night to make their ends meet. To be envious of these development and dividing the society on regional lines, will bring disaster to the country which yet to cope up with the attacks from the xtremists. These Rajs are another kind of extremists who are more dangerous since they undermine the unity of the country. It is now for the government of Manmohan to come out clean in the matter and direct state govt.
IF RAJ HAD ATTACKED NON-HINDUS THEN CONGRESS-PSEUDO SECULARIST ETC WUD HV BEEN UP IN ARMS AND PEACE WUD HV RETURNED IMMEDIATELY.
BUT THESE R ONLY HINDUS THAT TOO UP-BIHARI, SO EVEN IF SOME HINDUS R KILLED BY MNS ITS OK BCOZ AFTER ALL HINDU LIFE HAS NO VALUE IN EYES OF CONGRESS-BJP-SS-SP-BSP-COMMIES ETC.
WAKE UP INDIA AND WAKE UP HINDUS BCOZ THIS IS A PLOY BY PAKISTAN AND SAUDI ARABIA AIDED RAJ THAKREY TO DIVIDE INDIA.

If Marathi leaders don't like presence of people from UP and bihar then all UP and Bihar's natives (including businessmen, actors and all) should leave Mumbai. At the same time, in UP and Bihar, all products manufactured in Maharashtra should be boycotted if not banned.

NO, this is not the era for Gandhigiri. We want stern action and lawlessness should be deal with strict actions. Political parties recognistion to be withdrawn, riotors properties should be confiscated. COFOPOSA or RIOTS /TERRORIST ACTS should be clampled on all those arrested persons.

If there is even one person in the whole of Mumbai .. who can not take decisions on his own .. and has to depend on one Raj Thackeray to ignite their minds to 'cultural hegemony' ... then Mumbai is but a city for dogs. Be known, sitting quietly in a corner is meek acceptance and indifference to plight of these people
Such petty politics. At least for the next time people will have a point to PUT DOWN Mumbai when compared to any other cosmopolitan city.
