I belong to North-India and am staying in Mumbai and have my own firm. I just want to say that I totally agree with the way Raj has picked up this point.
Thousands and Thousands of people landing in Mumbai without any financial support is really hurting the city's basic infrastructure. Raj accepted that he has no bad-views about the professionally trained people- who are staying in Mumbai. But the people who are just putting additional weight on Infrastructure should be asked to leave the city immediately.
When we go overseas- we have to prove our financial health before getting final acceptance on the VISA. In this way, countries try to maintain their support system running. But if the flocks of people will keep on pumping in Mumbai without any skills/financial health, it will rip the country into pieces.
Hope we can save out dear Mumbai from being as "Gaya" or "Chhapra".

We are not a country which creates classes for different people. Many people like Gururaj deshpande,Khosla went to US with 10$ in the pocket - did they have millions of dollarsstashed with them wen they applied for visa,were they eligible to land in US just bcoz they had IIT education and you are saying the poor Bhayya who studied in a Govt School has got no right to move into Bombay in search of a better life. Infrastructure and all those hi-funda topics you better leave it to Govt and its functionaries.Its the duty of Govt to provide infrastructure and healthcare and education, dont mix up right for living with infrastructure. In the US the aged people's pension is delivered at their doorstep whereever they stay, you need to respect other Indians, am not saying Bhayyas are not at fault they might be but to make such blatant and racist allegation against fellow Indian cannot be tolerated and you dont have any right to speak against fellow Indians just because you have lakhs stashed in your bank.

great going dear!!As Mr.Raj has said in an statement that you are professionally qualified and has a flat in Mumbai, you can enjoy your life.I have 10 flats in Mumbai and I pay much more tax than you and support infrastructure in better way. Now just imagine if someone asks you to leave Mumbai as your contribution in supporting infrastructure is negligible.Great going. you have put another stream of division i.e money!!
I lived in mumbai for three years only. However, i LEARNT Marathi unlike the millions who come there and speak only in Hindi.
The Marathis have a Vast Historical and cultural impact. They were the warriors of the past and culturally advanced since those days. I especially love their theatre plays(which i used to watch quite a bit).
However, its sad that most people who hail from North treat the local Marathis with contempt. I've even heard a Northie guy calling a local marathi guy a "Terrorist" because he used to speak in Marathi and not Hindi.
This has to stop. If you're in their state, learn to respect their culture. I'm not stationed in Mumbai any more, but i remember fondly the time i spent there and the exposure i had to their rich heritage.

Very well said Joe. Ditto for me. I am a Marathi professional and was posted in Chennai 7 years back. I was there for merely 11 months but I insisted to speak Tamil with my Tamil colleagues just to learn Tamil quickly. It was fun as we went out on weekends with my Tamil friends to movies and other social events. Had I stuck to the Maharastra mandal there, I would never have enjoyed my stay and importantly would not have learnt another language.

Absolutely correct! And by the way Raj Thakrey also supports the JKLF because they are also fighting for the same cause as we Marathi Manoos are. Its just that JKLF have a foreign sponsor that provides them with AK56s and we still have to manage with Lathis and stones to chase off the poor taxi walas and fruit walas from the streets.... Just wait till we get a good sponsor (Pakistan/Osama) and then we will show these north indians. HAIL HITLER!! AND JAI MAHARASHTRA!!!

Let marathis come to good power 'somehere' in India. Let Marathis explore themselves like these so called bhaiya 'by you' do in whole India. How many marathis are outside Mah. They take pride of their people in top politics. But we marathis just don't stop by fighting among ourselves or just show dadagiri. Being at Top of the power politics will make all the difference. They excel in politics and not ridiculous violence outside their state.
