San Veer I can partly understand your frustration. But if we think practically it might be impossible to make Mumbai 100% Marathi only. How about we carve that piece out of Maharashtra and make it a seperate state? so then we will have two states: A 'corrupt' Mumbai State with lots of non-Marathis and a 'Pure' Maharashtra state meant only for Marathis..Will that work?

I see what you are saying but there has to be other ways. May be a peaceful protest? How about Gandhigiri to local politicians? I don't know what's the best way but I do know that you don't attack your own brothers just because the family is getting larger and the father is not using birth-control measures.

Meaning of full : Have you ever been to Dadar or CST station at any time of the day? Stand on bridge and watch the platform. You will get what I mean by full. We dont want to increase the population of MH just by importing un necessary ppl

Mr San veer ...ur reasoning is beyond imagination. Do u have any idea of constitution and rights given to every citizen of India.
If u think its your home, u stay indoors, DADAR platform is not your home right ?
Now...Reliance has its presence all over india making business...will u support if people across the country go on a rampage and distroy the all reliance stores because they are from Maharastra or bombay. Then where will this end?
RE:To san veer

reliance is all over india because they provide jobs for local people.they show respect for local culture, they obey local customes and do not creat problems for localiters.I dont remember reliance portrating them self as gujrati.thats how they get along every where.
From what is happening in various states I see that There is no functional Central Government or State Government. Why is the governmnet of India unable to protect its citizens from Political Goondas? What will happen if Terrorists strike? The governent will be found with its pants down.
Elected rulers!, as an Indian I want to know why you have failed to protect the poor workers? Please do something. It is 1 week now since the goondas have started thier hate campaign.
There is no place for people like Raj Thackery in today's India. I think people who see consipracies and parisan politics in every statement anyone makes should not be tolerated. Everytime India manages to takes a few steps forward, people like him step in and drag us right back to zero. Disgusting. Wake up Thackeray, you are an Indian first and then a Marathi. Get that thru your head. What is even more shameful is that he is soing it in the name of one of our greatest icons of justice, secularism and integrity- Shivaji Maharaj. Look into your child's eyes and see the image you see. Like it? True Maharashtrians are so much better than him and I do not believe he represents them.
We often call other countries racists, such as, USA and UK. After reading all these news, I have no doubt that we are the most racist people on earth, because, I have never heard people discriminate other people of same country but from a different place. We have no right to call anyone else racist from now on. All the things about Harbhajan etc are nothing compared to this. We need to look ourselves in the mirror first before we blame anyone else.

We are not just racists...we are sessionists, regionalists and linguistic fanatics. On one hand MNS doesn't live North Indians and Tamilnadu's DMK doesn't like the rest of India. No wonder why the British ruled India for such a long time and why Islam came to India and influenced quite a lot of people. When there was no unity between people of two states, leave alone the unity as a country.

Lol . i agree with u johnson though ! it sucks to use some regional language on English site ! though !. I mean there r marati site they can go and write in marati there though !! i guess.
Amongst all the chaos that a beautiful city and appears as each day dawns, the whole state of Maharashtra is going through, everybody seems to ignore the real issue. Least is expected out of the politicians, because they are just interested in their vote/note banks, but the other very important pillar of our democracy, the media has turned a blind eye towards the issue. They just show how MNS/SP workers riot and try to show their domination over a city. People like Pranoy Roy, Rajdeep Sardesai, who spend countless hours awarding "Indians of the year" should at least start talking about it.
What is causing the people to flock from one state to the other ? Isn't it because there is a financial imbalance in the states ? Shouldn't UP/Bihar receive extra importance and the situation be improved to provide ample job opportunities to all living in those states? Instead the politicians just encourage them to migrate to Mumbai? What an ingenious solution!
The five year plans the centre makes should have special quotas for the underprivilaged states to get them at par with the developed ones. Why should they be left behind ? Bihar is one of the highest Coal producing states in India. UP is one of the leading agricultural states. The problems in these states cannot be overlooked by saying that all Indians have the right to go and live anywhere in the country. Sure they have, but will you let me just walk in to your house and do whatever i want ? Think about it!
