India is pretty quick to point to Pakistan and say that this country is near a break up because of inter provinsiol dis-harmony and ethnic tensions? POT calling the Kettle BLACK, whats this now, are we looking at a possible break up of India? North indians being targeted wouldnt this make the already thick demarcated line between North and South even thicker and more permenant the drame folds.....:) Pakistanis were bored for a while now we have something to watch in India also....shall i get some pop corn?

What you see in India is nowhere near what happens in Pakistan. All these incidents are minor incidents and do not have much public support. Even Raj Thakrey clarified his position saying he is not against North Indians, but only want rights of Marathi people. I agree its all politics and not really any good for people. But people recongnise the value of human rights, peace and harmony. But, in Pakstan there is no law at all. There is no value for human rights. Terrorism is not only sponsered by Govt, but the Govt itself is run by terrorists. So, NEVER TRY TO COMPARE PAKISTAN with India.

Hitler united army against local jews! Read history first.. But the comparision is far fetched anyway. Raj and in general all Thakrey family only barks sitting in Mumbai and few areas. They are not entertained even in most interior parts of Maharashtra. I call it barking because they only "talk" and "don't do anything real"

there is a big difference..HITLER was Planned and a good leader for his people. HITLER was smart and had VISION.. RAJ just has a corrupt mind. He has gone mad becuase the DANCE BARS are closed and he has nothing else to do

why? Then also shoot Abu Azmi, all Naxalites, mufti mohammed sayeed, all LTTE supporters from Tamil Nadu, all commies. Are you ready for that? If not then stop putting such cheap comments on rediff.
If you look at Mumbai you will notice that in spite of SRS scheme, tall towers etc., number of slums is growing. Why? Even today, new families occupy footpaths and abuse them. Why? New bridges / flyovers come up only to create shelter for illegal occupants. Why? 5 Rickshaws ply on photicopies of one permit. Why? All this is happening not because of RAJ but because of people in power (including NCP, INC, SS & BJP). These are situations that create people like Raj. You will shoot Raj another will come up. Try to enforce the law of land.... Automatically unbearable flow of immigrants will stop. Create Jobs in UP & Bihar.... Automatically unbearable flow of immigrants will stop.

i agree as well. Teh whole point is laws are made in this country on paper. The days even 80% of the laws are enforced, Things will change
Why do we give so much importance to such useless idiots like Raj Thakeray who is destroying people's life for cheap publicity. It is negative publicity and it will cost him dearly... if people vote sensibly that is!!

No body is giving importance!! His bad-mouth costed Bombay heaviliy, its peace has gone. That is why police is looking for arresting him. This does not mean he is given importance. Definitely this will wreck havoc to his political personality.

mr ghosh, first look at bengal which is more backward than bihar thats why these selfish bengalis r begging in other states..we saw what these selfish bengalis did when sourav wass kicked out..most selfish people on earth these bonggs..no wonder they r kicked everywhere..take a look at nandigram as example..what a shame the bengal has been on india & their horrible culture

Dear Friend, We should not shoot this guy. We should utilize his agony and hatred. I think we should put Raj Thakare alone on top of Kargil Hill and should ask him to guard Indian border...
A simple message - India is a free country. If we%u2019ll fight with each other then we'll just make things worst.
The established ones must help needed.
This is not about East-West-North-South. It's about our India.
Try to understand the power and meaning of WE and not ME.
There's no meaning to salute the flag and paying homage to our martyrs if you don't understand the reason why they did it. They never did it for Maharashtra or Delhi or Chennai they did for our INDIA.
It%u2019s our responsibility to make our country better and this is not the way to do it.

Every moment in history throws up a new challen- ge and it is the duty of the duly elected leader , in this case the CM of Maharashtra, to rise to the occasion to meet the challenge squarely & proactively. Unfortunately in Maharashtra, the leadership has completely failed in protecting the interests of the common citizen. The plight of the northerners making a beeline to exit Nasik or Pune is no different from the scenes of African refugees in Sudan or Somalia we see on TV. It is pathetic to see citizens in their own land become refugees. The CM should have acted & proactively called for rapid action force and protected the lives of outsiders with determina- tion. If this hooliganism succeeds in Bombay, where is the guarantee it will not find repeti- tion in other states or directed towards other sects of people staying in Mumbai. Then what is left of India ? If history is not to rate our PM as a sleeping PM, then the Centre should immediately declare Maharashtra as a Union territory so that every one gets an equal chance at opportunities. The only currency that works in the field of global competition is pure merit and skillset and it is high time the Maharashtrians recognized this home truth & prepared for it instead of always seeking softer options. You never get to see this farce of reservations or quota in any other country except India.

Excellent suggestion Does Raj realise each word he has sopken is against the very constitution of india which ensures each citizen is free to move and get employed anywhere within he country?
this is primaraly taking place as these politionions are upto political gimmic.. they want publicity and their excellent partners our media are playing to thier tunes...
India is a free country and every citizen has right of equal employment opporunity.. also no one can restrict anyones movement within the country...

Not Maharashtra it should be only Mumbai as the make up of Mumbai is of various cultures what we would call cosmopolitan city and therefore belongs to all the various races that made it. Its boundaries should extend to Pune at one end and the Gujerat border at the other like Umergaon and going East I will have to check the map but in general a radius of 150 Kms from Hutatma Chowk (Fountain). We would be akin to Goa or Singapore
