HYDERABAD: Always eager to offer sops to minorities, the Andhra Pradesh government of chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy on Monday decided to dole out subsidies, on the lines of the Haj scheme, for Christians who want to visit holy sites in Israel.
Governor N D Tiwari in his address to the joint budget session of the Assembly and Council said, "My government has decided to extend the Haj pilgrim scheme to Christian minorities also for their religious visits to Christian Holy Lands in Israel."
The sop to Christian pilgrims by the chief minister, himself a Christian, is seen as another move by the Congress government to woo minorities ahead of the general and assembly elections scheduled for early next year.
"Unlike the Haj, which is a protected environment and which sees thousands of pilgrims from all over the world every year, holy sites in Israel including disputed Jerusalem, are located in a virtual war zone and it is unlikely that more than a few Christians from India and the state will want to visit," said an opposition leader. Christians comprise about 1.5% of AP's eight crore population.

Good move by Hyderabadi Scholars:
"Extend ban on Deendar (suspected to be having links with the ISI)"
Hyderabad, Feb 11: Heads of several city-based Muslim religious institutions and top religious scholars have decided to file an affidavit before the Tribunal for Unlawful Activities (Prevention) demanding extension of ban on Deendar Anjuman. Anjuman is allegedly an extremist outfit, suspected to be having links with the ISI. Justice Mukul Mudgal, judge of the Delhi High Court, who is representing the tribunal, is in the city to conduct hearing and receive representations about the ban on Deendar Anjuman. A group of religious leaders is going to meet Justice Mudgal on Tuesday, the final day of the hearing.
About two dozen Muslim clerics including Moulana Hameeduddin Aqil Hussami, Moulana Khaled Saifullah Rahamani, Moulana Abdul Aziz, Moulana Mohammed Abdul Qavi, Mufti Ghayasuddin Rahamani, Moulana Amjad Ali Qasimi and Moulana Mufti Abdul Mughni Almazahiri prepared a representation seeking extension of ban on Deendar outfit. Contention of the clerics is that Deendar Anjuman should not be associated with Muslims as the ideology and beliefs of the outfit do not match with Islam. The clerics formed a joint forum involving religious leaders of various schools of thoughts.
To all the readers here please be aware of Pakistanis masquarading as Indian Muslims... Pakistanis do not represent Indian Muslims ( though they think they represent all the muslims of the world - remember Pakistani Captain thanking all muslims in the world for their support when pakistan lost one day match to India recently)... Most Indian Muslims love India. Please be aware of the fact that in many cases where terrorists are caught some of the intellegence came from individuals from muslim community. so please temper your comments about Indian muslim community in general. Jai Hind

Please do not talk rubbish.
Where do you see a contradiction in being an Indian and also being a Muslim ?
Does being an Indian mean you have to worship a different God ?
Does being a Muslim mean you do not have to obey the Laws of the land ?
Please think before you write. Muslims must be the most contributing part of a society. Muslims must be an example of Charity, discipline, justice, public service, etc., in any country they live in.
But we do not see that. And that is because we have drifted from the princiles of Islam and the teachings of the prophet.
There is a hadith that says, "True believers are those whose stomachs are close to their backbone." It is an indication of personal health. Look at us. We have long beards, fat stomachs and anger on our faces.

Thank you Imran Bhai. People like you should educate and sensitize others of your community in national issues. It is a debt you owe to the country. But, beware some stupid mullah may soon issue a fatwa against you. I wish you Godspeed in your mission.

Come home to Tamilnadu. I will show hundreds of my friends who call them Tamilians first then as Indians, Hindu, Muslims or Christians
These two so called Jurnos are everyday cooking stories rediculing muslims. They are doing there bit in dividing the country as is being done by politicians in name of region , religion, caste or language. We dont need enemy when we have such people ready to destory the nation.
