His life should be inspiration for greedy and selfish people to change their life style and follow the path of simple living and high thinking. His story should be told to all school going children, may be through text books.
We have lost a great man. His wife (who had married Baba despite resistance from her parents, who did not want her to marry an un predictable person like Baba) and children r also doing a great job. Wish that they r able to carry forward the work of Baba Amte.
Saddened to see Gandhiji's name tarnished. Baba Amte and Gandhiji are both great. Poor father of the nation is orphaned with just a few voices rising against tarnishing his name. What should Gandhiji have done? and whatever he did wrong, hasn't he paid for it? We Indians expect greatness bordering on godliness from our leaders. They are just humans. When none of us are selfless, here is a man who tried to better himself and carried the entire country with him. Everyones leader is left with no one to support him since he does not belong to any group. Why make him a punching bag for short comings of the system.
People like Baba Amte, are the real fathers of nation, they are the one who give hope to millions and build foundations of the society,Not some one useless like like GANDHI. Baba Amte was the pillar of the society and he built not destroyed. He should be the only candidate for the Bharat Ratna,he was the true Ratan,a diamond among the Indian society, A shining star. He will be missed but never forgotten,it is his picture that should be on the Indian currency and not Gandhi's. Baba Amte is the true mahatma not Gandhi. Just Baba Amte gave light and hope to thousands in his care,I light a candle for him. May god ignore your bad deeds(if any) and give you abode in his house. May you rest in peace. You are shining like a star now and will shine for ever. You name has been written in history books with gold letters on the front page. God bless you. India owes you a debt which it will never be able to repay.

Everyone is a human. You have to accept them as they are with greatness and faults. Before calling Gandhiji useless, evaluate yourself. Not even Nathuram Godse called Gandhiji useless, quite to the contrary.

As far as i ma concerned Gandhi was waste of space.weather you or any one else like it or not. any way lets not get into that argument. The main topic is Baba Amte.
when will Thieves like Ravi Shankar leave us? Why are the good People dying. Why must we pay crores for Sri SriSri's travel fees? COme back and save us Baba Amte.

Why do you wish some one else to come and save you,what is wrong with yourself. There is Baba Amte within you wake him up and do the right thing take over from where Baba Amte left.
