There is no need or logic in saying that baba amte is a gandhian. Baba followed his own conscience and Gandhi followed his. Both are great. But saying gandhi inspired amte or amte followed or learrned from gandhi would be utterly false.

True, he is a real visionary but baba amte is above any political ratnas . He is a visionary a hope to millions of people and a symbol of what we lack as a community, sincerity honesty charity and dedication
Baba Amte is dead what is the big deal ? why media is making a big deal out of nothing ? just another Indian died. Have your dinner go to bed, think about your job for tomorrow morning.

Kabir singh another punjabi ch00teeya sardar. is it 12'o clock yet ? this website is not for sardars, it is only for intelligent people.
Baba, You left behind a legacy which will be an inspiration for generations to come. Nothing can come close to the sacrifice you made for the sake of leprosy patients. You were the Gandhi this generation failed to see. A salute to a fighter and a messiah.

ha, you may hurt me, but your comments on amte are useless, people like you can only write your hate mails on pages like this and no one will read them after a couple of days. bask in your glory of 2 days

that is a stupid comment , the mere fact that you call him as a brahmin shows your mindset. In 21st century any one who calls himself brahmin would only be the subject of great ridicule, gone are the days when a bunch of gluttons preaching stupidities would gain any respect. If you are good irrespective of whether you are brahmin or now he would be considered a hero. The fact that you want to attribute brahminism to such a great man as Amte shows where you stand . All men are not equal, some achieve greatness due to their hardwork , but not by being born into a family where the father wears a cross belt

Are you looking for publicity with such petty controversial statements? A great man has died, feel some shame at your reaction - spitting at Gandhi instead of showing respect for Amte. Sick mind you have got!

Anna Sreedhar Reddy,
Baba Amte and Gandhi might have followed same set of principles and have same ideology but at the end of the day Amte had served for poor and Gandhi always aimed for political mileage.
All I am saying is please do not insult Baba Amte by comparing him to Hypocrite Gandhi.

Mr Indian, times were different for the 2, Gandhiji had to implement his philosophies in a political scenario, bcoz that was the demand of the day. Baba Amte learnt the same philosophies from Bapu and implemented it in social service, bcoz that was the requirement

Sreedhar I know you are feeling ashamed of being Andhra telugu. I know how it is cause one of my colleague is also Telugu Andhra and she hates to be Andra.
Magsasay Award winner Baba Amte will remain the benchmark for selfless service. He is beyond any Nobel prize or Bharat Ratna.
We are unfortunate that we did not make use good use of such soul during his lifetime. Had his services been effectively used, and government supported whole heartedly, we could have made more progress in giving a humane life to leprosy patients and helped eradicate the disease.
India needs many more such human beings like Baba Amte to overcome its problems. We Indians, need to contribute and participate in it to strengthen the movement he started. We can do more if we come together.
