Just one question???
by avijit ganguly on Feb 08, 2008 10:59 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

we know that dr amit kumar did not "kill" any body.
but i want to know how many lives were saved by him through kidney transplantation????

obviously people dont have a kidney transplant just for fun!!! they do it when their lives are in danger!!

so just before calling this man a dr. evil and so on think about all those people who benefited out of him!! if you have a kidney failure and badly need a transplant then people like dr. amit kumar would appear as angel toqm3you!!!

People like him pretend to be innocent.
But in NOWAY he'll be innocent.
Obviously Money and greed is the reson.
Even if money is not the reason, he can't kill some innocent poor (who are lured of jobs and stolen their life) Just hang them in public.

Good Point. Our policies regarding organ transplantation are not in tune with the demands of today's society. There are plenty of needy donors and also persons in need of a transplant. So why not have a Government Agency to arrange a deal between the two to avoid such shady activities as done by Amit Kumar?

Yes but how about if you had been one of the victim, who lost their one kidney at the gunpoint.
He didn't do anything for saving the life of any human being. The sole force behind his work was money.
So he is a criminal. If he really wished to save the life of anyone, why didn't he use the kidney of him, his wife or his son.
Why those belonging to poor class were used for such kind of act.

Press conference for what ?
by Soy Adrenal on Feb 08, 2008 10:34 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Yes right,he deserves a press conference. People in India always have flower on their ears. He usually goes to the Indo -Nepal border, to kill the animals and birds there. A close aide of him recently disclosed that kidneys of the poor animals and birds were used by him to transplant on humans. Its worth investigating in his domain of research. He knows the knowhow on how to do that, and in the press conference, he would reveal that. Another budding noble laureate.

Dr Amit is very poor. If convicted, Kumar will face a maximum sentence of five years or will have to fork out Rs 5 lakh as fine, or both. We all live in developing India. The fine for similar offense in United states is 26.8 million USD and a life sentence.

He too needs a press conference. ha ha ha.

What does one do if a family member requires a kidney to save his/her life. Its high time we legalize transplants from brain dead souls in to the living. Dr(agon)Amit and many others are there in Illegal, Unethical & corrupt Trades in our society only because they complete the demand supply chain. Fast & swift justice is required to get rid of such evils. There are lots of such characters in every town, Its only that we are not vigilant enough to report them to the authorities and demand action and instead wait for 500 cases to happen before we run with a Interpol alert.

Hi Roheet
I believe there was no law regarding the transplants some 10 years ago. Because lots of poor people were duped into selling the kidneys, a ban on human organ transplant came into force(Its legal between blood relatives).

I am astonished for the fact that for the crime of this stature the maximum punishment is 5 years or 5 lakhs or both. Thats why all the people commit the crime repeatedly. It should be multiplied by the no. of people affected. In this case I surely believe it should be rigorous life imprisonment and attaching all the properties of the criminal ( pay some minimum monthly allowance for his dependents ). So everyone will know that all the crimes are not same and never ever the life will be same even if he is released from jail for good behaviour or any other reason. He has to work hard even for a living after released from the jail. Now even if he is released after paying 5 lakhs he is going to enjoy remaining part of his life with the multi-crores he has earned and money earns respect for him. Any thoughts ?

Why should there be a ban on human organ transplants between unrelated persons? If it is medically sucessful and necessary why should patients be deprived of this facility? The Government should think of regulations that ensure proper information for both Donor and Recipient and proper care for both.

kidney kingpin Dr. Amit Kumar alias Santosh Raut, looks from Maharashtra, the land of Raj Thackeray. Raj should protest on his custody by Nepal Govt.
