Ya Even I Think so. Go back to the school where you might have studied and just read through the HISTORY books and which state did Tilak, Savarkar,Gokhale,Rajguru belong to. This just an example the list goes back to the days of Shivaji Maharaj the Great. He too was a Freedom fighter By The Way. Sardaarji ho kidhar???
Can ghaatiis explain to me why their language is dying? Why does it need to be protected to survive? Is it because it is poor language with zero literature and limited vocabulary?

It was three language formula in the schools responsible for this.. Out of respect for national language successive government in Maharashtra gave high weightage to the teaching of Hindi to Marathi students..
Government of Maharashtra should make Marathi compulsory on the similar lines as Gujrati in Gujrat or Kannad in Karnataka and no less..

Raj have only shown how politican can provke hatred in this fragile judiciary / democracy by his speech. India as a single country have a federal system of ruling, however this does not mean that central does not have any right on the state govt. In case, educated people like us get threatened by other statesman ....does'nt that mean that we are harboring disrespect towards humanity in the present and for the coming generation? This will only create havoc in the country and other states will also tend to follow the same. Raj game plan is just to voo the maharashtrians (Uneducated / unemployed youths) for his own purpose / political power, which was Bal Thackreys old game. In case, if he is so serious about the uneducated / unemployed youth he should attract more industries / organization to Maharashtra and regarding culture in democracy you cant force anyone to learn any culture / language. Imagine if culture / language is made compulsory in middleast / gulf / Europe for Indian working there, do you think this will work out?.....And do u think the immigrants needs to learn that? Hope this message will make difference in the minds of Marathi brothers / sisters who are provked by his dividing speech!

Friend,
There is something everybody is neglecting, the kind of support Raj is getting is phenomenal. Even the media is totally devided on the lines of Marathi and Non marathi..
This only indicates that what Raj is talking is the experience of Marathi population at large..
Problem now can only be solved by establishing proper law and order situation in UP and Bihar, so that Industriallization and development of business is possible in those areas so that people from these states need not go outside, they remain happy in their states and Marathis are left to their fate in Maharashtra..

rajeev, it does not behove of a person working voluntarily in such a regressive and restrictive country like Saudi Arabia to talk about free movement....
