If Raj could get away even after the hooliganism, it means indian constitution is ignored and: 1. Police is ineffective 2. Government is ineffective 3. The people who support him are Goondas. 4. Raj and his supporters live in a different and sovereign country which is not india.
Mumbai has been developed as the financial capital of India, by the central goverment. All the important financial institutions were set up there. Therefore, the headquarters of almost every Retail and investment banks are in mumbai. And also corporate headquarters of many companies... This all has been achieved by using taxpayer's money.. from all over India. Now the Mumbai has become a major city by using resources from all over India.. It is completely unjustified to claim it, by any single group. Violence only begets more violence.. It has been never a solution...and It will never be.

Mumbai as a financial capital, as no centeral government support. It's sheer hardwork of local people that includes Marathis, South Indians, Gujrathis, Sikhs, punjabis, sindhis, marwaris, parsees, and local muslims who have blended and adopted native culture by keeping their own identity. Most of the Banglasdeshis, UP and Bihar is burden on the city, as they throng illegally on streets, create vote banks and manipulate politically system. Central Governments funding is pumped into Bihar and UP more than any other state, due to vote banks. Mumbai contributes 40% tax revenues, and return on investment is not even 2%. Each year new train is started in Bihar, and where most money is earned on hardworking middles class family travelling in trains, they get zilch. So, stop giving that crap, that Mumbai is because of centeral govenrment. Since when did Indian governemet did something good? If software progress is something to cherish about, it's because Indian goverment had no clue when it started. It's because of South Indian states, Maharshtra, and Gujarath. in west, and Bengal to some extent on east, and Chadigarh in north.

Your point is correct but the argument is wrong!
Any Indian can go to Mumbai or any other Indian city to make a living. There should be no bar.
However, Mumbai is not developed by central funds. Actually centre get huge revenues from Mumbai & does not allocate enough for Mumbai. The revenues from Mumbai are trasferred to poorer states for their development & its a fair thing.
Mumbai did not become a financial hub because centre established its institutes here. First Mumbai developed into a commercial capital of India & then centre came in to establish its banks & offices in Mumbai.
This explanation is only to put the point straight.

Why should Raj be blamed for fomenting regionalism ?? When DMK supports LTTE why is there no concern about regionalism ?? When Akalis install the portrait of Gernail Singh Bihdrawale in Dam Dami Taksal ( who wanted to break up India) why was there chilly silence among the desh Bhakts ?? When Bengalis openly rioted to protest against exclusion of Saurabh Ganguly from Indian Cricket team where were the those who cry foul agaist regionalism ?? The truth is people from UP and Bihar have swamped the states like Delhi, Orissa, Assam, Maharashtra and Rajasthan. Wherever they go they start behaving like they are in Azamgarh or Siwan. They do not respect the culture in which they go. Raj Thakeray's fight is against those that want to convert maharahstra into azamgarh or Siwan. This fight is not for jobs or resources but to maintain local culture and avoid lawlessness of UP and bihar. Lalu and Amarshing should take a dip in chulu bhar pani because it is their failure that people from UP and BIhar are flocking to other states. What have they done to improve the situation in UP and Bihar ?? Before commenting on what is right and wrong these leaders should get out of their AC cars and mix with common people instead of partying with bollywood celebrities . Just ask people of Orrisa, Delhi, Assam, Rajasthan about people from UP and Bihar and you will know why the Raj Thakeray got so much support. As for Abu he is ISI agent. Govt should expedite pending criminal cases against him.
We are Indians , we know we are still a group of states ie United States of India ,and democratic. But given the question of from where you come from we say India, then further South India, in South India where then we say from Cochin which is in Kerala. The same goes with all the states. But we have a responsibility towards our State and equally towards our Country, hence there should be no such issue like the one which Mr Raj has created now in Mumbai. Every State in India is dependant on other State for food, clothing, water, manpower and many other essentials. Hence no State is independant. Let MR RAJ stop this kind of creation of issues and facilitate the Government to make Maharashtra a better State to live. Live And Let Live.
We, Indians are getting more communal and narrow minded day by day. We all have lost the ability to think in an open an compassionate direction. We are getting too selfish and we are losing human characteristics. We are lagging our economic and cultural progress behind several thousands of years. If we don't start realizing this and act boldly, we will see the disintegration of India as a nation, in near future. If we really love our country, we must start thinking that everybody is same and all of us have same rights here.
People let's discover the compassion, the kindness and the love rather than the hate and bigotry inside our heart. Jai Bharat. I appeal to my fellow citizens here. Let's do some Gandhigiri. Please type a message of love and compassion after any message of hate typed in rediff.
Give the Maharashtra land back to the Kolis and Gonds. Send all the Ghatis back on the other side of the Arabian sea from where they landed on boats from Arabia. Send Bhaiyyas back to Ganga kinare. Punjabis back to Pakistan, Marwadis back to Rajasthan, Gujaratis back to Gujarat, South Indians back to South India. Let's all go back to the stone age. Simple life, no office woffice tension, unless the Islamic terrorists decide to invade and you need the Indian army composed 95% of North Indians to save the ghatis behind.

And to talk of the percentage of Indian Army, there are many south Indians, much more than their percentage of the country's population and less northies, compared to their population.WHAT A JOKE>>>>>>

When it matter the most, during mughal and Britsh times, there were only Sikhs, Jats, Marathas, Rajputs, Gurakahs identified as marital races. And your statement of Army comrising of 95% north indians, is totally incorrect. Army's officla numbers are that each regiment is proportianate to the region, with punjab being slightly ahead of their population. We are talking about UP & Bihar. Don't try to include other states, and bunch them as nort indians.

This nonsense is getting worse day by day, when will common people start seeing through the ploys of this political manipulators and stand for a libearal democratic progressive nation. The enemies of Indian lies within, they wear saffron clothes and proclaim themself as messiahs of hindus. They themself are not hindus. Inface i was checking up wiki on gujarat, apparently the current gujarti gene pool is a mix of Mughal and Indo Aryans, the original inhabitants - the Saurashtrians fled the place in the face of invasions and this criminal is saying words of gujarati pride and what more nonsense. God save our nation. Time to pray brothers
