This is a political stunt played by Raj. He is done some thing like what Lalu does in Bihar and Mayawati did in UP, Just another dirty political gimmick. Wont help if same Raj is found appeasing UP vote bank at some stage. I have to say that he is Marathi Bhaiya.

The whole issue was instigated by Samajwadi Party leader Abu Azmi. His statment that he wants to have Hindi mandatory in Mumbai BMC and that they will use force and drive away marathis from the BMC. He also made inflammatory statements about using lathis. Mumbai is a capital of Maharastra and its official language is Marathi.These kinda statments from a party which does not exist in Maharastra is uncalled for. It would definately upset the local population and political parties, imagine marathis gathering in a lucknow rally and making speeches to throw these bhayyas , biharis from rulling their state and making use of marathi mandatory in lucknow govt offices. The MNS vs SP fight which initially started took a bad turn and media reported it as marathis vs north indians. Media in India nowdays are baised and dont show the true picture. They showed MNS and Raj as a villian. Why these news channel didnt show the Abu Azmi rally speech ? Ask any north indian living in mumbai, have they been threatened. No because Mumbai is a peaceful city and those living in this city can understand.Mumbai has always welcome anyone and everyone from all the part of the country.

There are gujrathis, marwaris, tamilians, mallus, kannadiagana etc etc in the city, but none of these use their festivals to show their strength. Ask a mumbaikar how most of these north indians live 10-15 in a small room, living filthy , driving auto/taxi illegally, putting up bhel puri, paani poori stalls illegally. Any person who goes a particular place should respect the law of the land and respect local cultures.
Here are few question Why do you always see biharis in Indian railways ? Why are the Recruitment Ads for Mumbai, Maharashtra region is put in newspapers in UP, Bihar? Doesn't Lalu , Paswan favour the people from his region, So whats wrong in Raj Thakrey raising issues about Maharastrians and Mumbaikars ?
A true mumbaikar even those from UP, Bihar who are settled in mumbai for long time and tell you how a big mess mumbai has become, slums , crimes , etc etc. And we all know who is responsible for all this. The party which claims that they have made uttar pradesh as UTTAM Pardesh are now out of power in their home state come up with a new slogan UP HAAMRI hain ab MAHARASTRA ki baari hain. Let these parties first take care of UP and then think about other states.

I totally agree wiht Vijay / Virendra, We are Indians first, but when one political party makes such a statment to woo one section of the society and then the rival party will follow suit. As a true mumbaaikar i do have many north indian friends, We live happily together .... As in my post i said some north indians and not all. The fact is that we should live in harmony and when ppl like Abu Azmi makes inflammatory statements, ppl like Raj retaliate and then whole situation is out of control.
We were planning to set up a new office at Nagpur( At present we are based in Bangalore) in March and now with all these communal idealogies pouring in we are a little surprised and anxious with our plans.
Being non maharashtrians could anyone please advise us whether it would be a safe place for business in a long term?
I would really appreciate it if the replies were non communal.
Rest assured it is very safe in Maharashtra. He is not at all against all non-maharashtrians. He is only against those who are not law abiding citizens. If you be a good citizen here he won't mind. In fact he will support you. See Priya all politicians are bad. You know what is Amarsingh, Mulayamsingh or Abu Azami or Raj or Uddhav or who ever politician. Though late, if he is thinking to bring discipline is the city, I think we should support him once. Raj is any day better than others. Even he has non-maharashtrians supporting him in this cause in his party. Remember he is saying when you are in Rome be Roman. Secondly, he is aware that people have become wise due to exposure. He has some plans for development of Maharashtra as a whole. But he won't be able to implement those unless he has some power. He is saying that it is the duty of every state leader to develop their own state and not send their people elsewhere for livelyhood. He is also telling Maharashtrians, that if you are staying in other soil than Maharashtra, you abide by the rules there. Tell me is he wrong in saying that. Don't you feel the place where you stay should be beautiful and not filthy. He is trying to get filth out of the city and every state should follow his footsteps and try to create job opportunities in their onw states. 1. Why is rest of Maharastra below poverty line(people dying of hunger,farmer suicide)-Because there is less non maratha.
2. Why is Mumbai commercial Capital-Because Marathas are minority here.only 18% are marathis in mumbai.
3. Why the Marathas cant stand other Indians-They feel insecure( can not compete with hardworking peoples) and are losing identity in Mumbai.
4. Why Maharastra is highest crime rate in India (no.01 as per central govt.new data )-they fight themselves.
5.why non marathis are coming to maharastra for works because marathis are not capable to work.
5.why most of multinationals are hiring non maharastrian.
6.why Mumbai can not produce any maharastrian police commissioner since 1993.
7.why entire bollywood is 2nd largest film industries in the world- are full of non maharastrian.is it fault of non maharastrian?

1. States like UP and Bihar are poorer than Rest of Maharastra. Because their leaders are creating weath for their own self.
2. OK Mumbai is commercial Capital of India not because Maratha's in minority. Its wrong notion. Others can commercialise their own state no one has told them to develop only Mumbai? Choose your own state to work hard. If they can work here why not in their own state

People say that this family could not afford even to have bicycles then! But, this family managed steadily to strengthen their financial status not by any business and not by any employment and definitely NOT by any intellectual contribution to either Hindus or to community, but by other means and resources that have amassed wealth to them within his own generation that the family now comfortably roams every where by individual Air Conditioned cars!
