RAJ or ANY LOCAL.....THGEY CAN NOT DEPRIVE THEIR HUNGRY.
by GRJ on Feb 12, 2008 09:07 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Even In UP, Assam, and BIHAR, the migrant hungry is not entertained ...cause they have their own hungry....!!!

STEALING IN NEIGHBOURS HOUSE ....WE CALL IT DEMOCRACY
by GRJ on Feb 12, 2008 09:03 AM | Hide replies

WHAT ABOUT THOSE WHO CREATED THE RIOTS...WHY RAJ IS SINGLED OUT ???

DEMOCRACY DOES NOT MEAN ENTERING NEIGHBOURS HOUSE AND STEALING HIS LIVELIHOOD. THEN FIGHT AND SAY HANG HIM.

THIS DOMINATION OF LAWLESS.

When the problems are created bvy migrants depriving local hungry these things will happen Instead of getting the effected people arrested and taken to UP BIHAR AssAM, and punishing them Take the Hungry of UP BIHAR ASSAM to their states bvend the backs of your politicians and see that they get their 3 square meals in their own sae where they vote and elect politicians to solve their miseries.

Why should any one carry somebody's baby when their own baby is deprived of care???

In the guise of democracy dont loot other states when every state has to BLOODY WELL deliver goods. RIGHT TIME TO WAKE UP SLEEPING POLITICIANS.. THEY HAVE TO BUILD THEIR OWN STATE.....NOT GO TO OTHER STATES AND CREATE LAW AND ORDER PROBLEMS.... AND THEN WANT TO HANG OTHERS FOR SELF MISTAKES

This is the best solution to settle every hungry stomach in its own state where funds are available for theior emancipation.

Bal Thackeray's father was already a respected journalist and had a newspaper of his own, so Bal Thackeray, like many other cartoonists, was contributing to another newspaper, he did not need to do it for a salary. And if Free Press Journal could not pay him the paper should have declined Bal Thakeray's contributions. How so you say that Thackeray family has not contributed to the community? They have given a voice to Maharashtrians in Maharashtra. Why should you grudge them a good life, which Maharashtrians have given them. I am no great admirer of Thackerays, but when people from every corner of the country were cornering every job in the city and even in the state through simple nepotism and unabashedly parochial considerations, each one bringing in a dozen of his undeserving country-cousins to so so jobs that they did not deserve, Thackerays were the family that stood up to this dishonesty. Of course, you do not read Marathi, but Marathi newspapers were full of stories of multinationals preferring matriculate outsiders to graduate Maharashtrians. Not for any other reason, but the key person in recruitment was outsider. Mumbai Telephones was full of UPians, right from linesmen to the GM. That was due to brazen parochialism. Now railways are being filled eith Biharis, thans to the Hon'ble Railway minister.

I was referring to Prabodhankar Thackeray. He was Bal's father and had a newspaper called Prabodhan. I have not said I support violence. You are implying that Maharshtrians lack merit, which they aught to earn and also implying that people from other states deverve the jobs because they have the merit that Maharashtrians lack. Examine these premises yourself and you will know that these are illogical. Mumbai telephones was filled with UPians, do you think that Maharshtrians cannot lay a telephone line. It is well known that Lalu is filling railways with Biharis, do you mean to tell me that a Maharashtrian cannot be a train inspector? In 1960s it was an unwritten rule in Mumbai that Maharashtrians will not find a decent job. It was only after Sthanik Lokadhikar Samiti was started by Shiv Sena that Maharashtrains began finding jobs even as peons in offices. It was sheer nepotism, parochialism and breaking of undertakings by people from other states that had come to occupy places of power in private and public organizatons that this was happening. There was a strike in MIDC Aurangabad in the 1970s because the entrepreneurs there had undertaken to employ locals to 30 percent jobs, but refused to honor their word. You mean Maharashtrians cannot even operate lathes, pressses and drills? Come on, be a realist, our only fault is that we showed too much tolerance.

Raj is right
by Attatar Yena on Feb 12, 2008 05:52 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Why should Raj be blamed for fomenting regionalism ??
When DMK supports LTTE why is there no concern about regionalism ??
When Akalis install the portrait of Gernail Singh Bihdrawale in Dam Dami Taksal ( who wanted to break up India) why was there chilly silence among the desh Bhakts ??
When Bengalis openly rioted to protest against exclusion of Saurabh Ganguly from Indian Cricket team where were the those who cry foul agaist regionalism ??
The truth is people from UP and Bihar have swamped the states like Delhi, Orissa, Assam, Maharashtra and Rajasthan. Wherever they go they start behaving like they are in Azamgarh or Siwan. They do not respect the culture in which they go. Raj Thakeray's fight is against those that want to convert maharahstra into azamgarh or Siwan. This fight is not for jobs or resources but to maintain local culture and avoid lawlessness of UP and bihar.
Lalu and Amarshing should take a dip in chulu bhar pani because it is their failure that people from UP and BIhar are flocking to other states. What have they done to improve the situation in UP and Bihar ?? Before commenting on what is right and wrong these leaders should get out of their AC cars and mix with common people instead of partying with bollywood celebrities . Just ask people of Orrisa, Delhi, Assam, Rajasthan about people from UP and Bihar and you will know why the Raj Thakeray got so much support. As for Abu he is ISI agent. Govt should expedite pending criminal cases against him.

That's said like a true Maratha, Attatar. No one has a right to snatch someone else's hearth and home. One disagrees with Raj's way of doing things, but one cannot disagree withe sentiment. Pt. Nehru said once that he thought Maharashtrians are docile people, he would have been surprised and outraged at the rise of Shiv Sena. The root lies in the fact that we Maharashtrians have been given a less than a good deal by successive government at the centre. They are completely ignoring the sentiments of Maharashtrians and would like to forget about these troublesome poeple. They wanted us to live in a bilingual state and unleashed machinery of repression that took 105 lives. Maharashtrian Cogress leaders should show more spine that they have shown in this imbroglio and tell the old fogies in the center like Pranb and Arjun that unless something is done for stemming this flow of Upiand and Biharis into our state, they cannot count on Maharashtra to vote for their party. Vilasroa, RR and Patnagrao, how long are you going to be beholden to those non-Maharashtrian bosses. These guys are acting like the Vatandars in pre-Chhatrapati Shivaji's times, bowing before the badshahs, nawabs and sultans in Delhi to save their gaddis. Come on, if you are true Marathas, tell Mulayam and Lalu not to stir up trouble here and set their home states in order so that their populations will stay at home.

Appeal to my brothers
by a a on Feb 11, 2008 09:58 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Guys, lets not forget that when we point a finger towards someone, remaining fingers are pointing towards us. This is my appeal to all the Indians. Lets stop this madness.

A small issue was blown out of proportion by the media and the politicians. Media go the TRP ratings and politicians were able to achieve what they wanted to, i.e. to polarize people.

North Indians blaming Maharashtrians, we maharashtrians blaming the north Indians. Then there were mini cyber wars between the south and north Indians. Where will this ends? Lets face it. We have problems in north, south, west and east. The solution is not blaming each other. That will only spread hatred. We have to work together.
Mumbaikars have always shown the great Mumbai spirit. Where is it gone now?
We cannot have this parochial mind set. I want to plead/beg for peace and brotherhood.
Please do not respond to provocative statements, either by the politicians or the bloggers.
There will be haters but the question is whether we want to be a part of the hatred.

I am a maharashtrian and I sincerely apologize to all my north Indian brothers.
I am sorry for what has happened. Now can you forgive and forget.

Milind
USA

Stay on in the USA man, and one cannot apologize to people who have run away from their home states in stead of trying to improve the conditions there, which have been deteriorating since historical times and now the states are ruled by scamsters and robbers. It is correct to say that there are problems everywhere, but who created these? The inept UP and Bihari politicians who have highjacked the entire country because of their high populations. That is how virtue is made out of illiteracy and lack of education. It is on this last count that Raj Tahckeray is wrong. Let Amitabh Bachchan open a school and college in every village in UP and Bihar, so that the people there will learn something and do somethign to improve their home states so that they will not have to travel all over the country and snatch the livelihood from the local poor. That is the point. There is nothing parochial about it, it is common sense.
