Raj is confusing and misleading marathi.
by manoj on May 04, 2008 02:08 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Who is destroying marathi culture ? Raj Thakary is confusing, misleading Maharashtrian just like Lallo did to bihari for 2 decades.
If u want to speak marathi u speak with family. Why should outsiders learn it. Is marathi rashtra bhasha, national langauge ?
Also Raj is so proud of marathi culture. Do u think other state in north have inferior culture. Every region has its own list greatness, proud. Reason they come to maharashtra because job here created is by indian not marathi. Then why should marathi get it. Let marathi businessmen creat job for marathi who is stoping u. why should tata, birla, ambani's created job should go to marathi.
And about destroying culture ?
why the hell outsiders would destroy marathi culture, what for ?

ONE SHOULD NOT KICK THE GIFT HORSE....
by on May 04, 2008 01:01 AM  Permalink

First of all is there ever going to be an end to this non-sense. Look at most of the blogs and most of them are useless criticism. Only a few have valid point that is focused on creating a positive image about India.
As far as Raj Thackeray is concerned he should know that Mumbai is not a financial capital because of his efforts. Has he not heard that 'One should not kick the Gift Horse in the Mouth'.
Politics is still a 'biatch' and her sons are 'sons of biatches'.

Bihari taxi or Honest Maharashtrian :-)
by Mohammad Cadri on May 04, 2008 12:55 AM  Permalink

Hence, I urge the Maharashtrians to imporve. They must change their corrupt ways.

By the way, IT IS THESE VERY CORRUPT MAHARASHTRIANS WHO FOR MAYBE 100 RUPEES GIVE OUT RATION CARDS AND ELECTION ID'S TO OUTSIDERS!!!

So why are the Maharashtrians blaming the UPites and Biharis. Should they not first blame their own corrupt politicians and a few select judges in the Family Court ??? Not to mention officials in the BMC!

Another fact is that people from UP and Bihar are indeed very hard-working. We may be biased against them, but then that's a fact. They are one of the most hard-working people I have ever seen.

On the other hand, the Maharashtrians, the least said about them the better. You see when you become corrupt to such an extreme extent, at that stage, not only do the affected people cry out but even the soil starts cursing it's children.

Hence, a request to all Maharashtrians, please become honest, get rid of corrupt judges in the Family Court, including the judge who so sadly has been promoted to the High Court from there (after all this is India :-) as an honest judge would have been thrown away to Goa )and become blessed. Then your motherland will bless you.

Not only do Maharashtrians accept this view but even Bal Thackeray has accepted the same and has tried hard for their emancipation ! But kya karein :-) Aamchya manoos hee asaa aahe to mee kay karooo! Gheoon taak tila !!! :-)

Please guys, improve, or your mother-land will throw you out!

Marati Language and culture
by VENKAT SRINIVASAN on May 04, 2008 12:44 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Absolutely Raj thackrey is correct by saying Marati is a Rich language. The reason behind is MARATHI language is highly SANSKRIT based. Even the word Marthi is derived form SANSKRIT. But as far as culture is concenred, the real culture of Indians are not diffferent NATURALLY. For small and short term benefits some egoistic political persons started artificial cultures based on language (E.g TAMIL / KANNADS/ MARATHI /HINDI). Please note that TRUE INDIAN CULTURE DO NOT HAVE ANY LANGUAGE BASED CULTURE. Indian culture is based on VEDAS /GITA / UPANISHADS. Please avoid supporting other religion by dividing our own HINDU RELIGION WHICH IS THE RICHEST CULTURE OF THE WHOLE UNIVERSE)

Bihari Taxi or honest Maharashtrians :-)
by Mohammad Cadri on May 04, 2008 12:41 AM  Permalink

I for one, have never supported violence in the name of religion. In Mumbai, Muslims have been persecuted for so long by the Shiv Sena. Still, they somehow withstood the onslaught and have only come back stronger in this metropolis. Even the most biased BJP supporter cannot deny that.
Coming to people from Bihar and UP, a lot has been said about them. One interesting note made by a Maharashtrian gentleman was the amount of "dadagiri" carried out by the taxi and autorickshaw drivers. This holds true for taxi drivers and the entire profession is dominated by UPites and Bihari's. This is totally wrong and our brethern from these two states who are in this profession must change their attitude.

Coming to Maharashtrians, although I have deep respect for Mr. Balasaheb Thackeray for various reasons, the others don't deserve one ounce of respect. I have had to move in courts and especially the Family Court. One of the main judges in the court was a Maharashtrian. He so sadly has been promoted to the High Court (just because there was a dearth of justices at the High Court or he may have had political connections) and it's sad! There has been a strong rumour in the Family Court that he was so biased because of reasons best understood. Especially when it's a girl who is slightly pretty and has filed a case. The court had stooped to such levels and I must say very sadly that if Maharashtrians do not get rid of such corrupt people, their "mata - motherland" will curse them and drive
