Everyone here is saying protect northies frm marathi people in Mumbai. But at 1st place all these politicians sholud have made sure that thode northees would stayed back to there own state. They r comong to Maharashtra for better life and livehood which there own stae can not provide them. So its there duty to adopt the culture and traditions of maharashtra and respect marathi people take example of many marwadis who r here but speak fluent Marathi so all Bhaiyas should learn marathi or otherwise go to UP the worst state and to Bihar about which less we say is better.

India is a secular state, there should be no discrimination on basis region north south east west......one should learn from history India was once called Golden bird but we were never united and thus had to pay a huge price. See Chinese people...how united they are....they work n die for the pride of their nation....thts why they are fast becoming superpower and we are just fighting n struggling with each other for selfish cause...We should say we are Indians and not marathi, gujrati, punjabi, marwari, bengali...all these words divid India.....choice is urs wht u like a sick divided India or Superpower India........Jai Hind

Mr. Parag Kulkarni, your thinking is little narrow minded. I have great respect to Maharashtrians and Marathi culture, as I am in Mumbai for about 30 years and adopted the culture very well.
If Mumbai is only for Maharashtrians please think the following : Almost every company is having its office/manufacturing in Mumbai, do you think that all the products can be sold in Mumbai. Godrej is having factory of consumables in Mumbai, do you think that the lux soap is being sold only in Mumbai or maharashtra. It is selling all parts of the country, hence the contribution towards Mumbai is from all parts of the country. Similarly all companies. See the country and its problem as whole not a marathi/gujarathi/madrassi/bengali/bhayya etc. which will lead to disaster not development.

Politics is really very complicated.The leaders just ignite the spark & watch the show on the TV.The middle & the lower middle class people like us have to suffer.If we come up with President Rule with minimum MP's & ....then there shall be excess revenue generated that can curb unemployement. Nowadays,these politicians should start 'Effective Speaking Classes' for youngsters/unemployed with a mission "I speak,U Destroy" Mumbai kisi ke Baap ki jagir nahin hai-India is a Democratic country.Such political leaders so called icons should be deported to "Somalia" for mental & communal peace. Why this problem arised now is, it has reached saturation level, now Mumbai can't digest any more migrants. If anybody comes from out side its problem of Space to live,food,shelter for the longback residents. Why dont one understand the problem for all....Why dont build employment opportunity in UP,MP,Bihar, Bengal, all these r impotent to produce anything since Independance. Its shame on all North Indian Politicians Who ruled these states since India Independence they couldnot produce except all Gothalas Chara,Kidney,. We r blaming North Indians not because they r coming here but why they still keeping quite, instead hit all politician with CHAPPAL

Not just Mumbai, each and every other Metropolitan city in the world is facing the problem of food, water, clean air and shelter for its growing population.And in a close watch we can see that this problem is not just limited with in the Metropolitans but the entire earth to be beware of. I feel really unfortunate the recent incidents are because the regional spirits of Mumbaikars have received the Ignition from the cheap political tactics of a person who just wants to repeat the history ( refferred to the riots against the South Indians took place in the then Bombay a few decades back). It is really pityfull that the so called Leaders(political) are utilising the feelings and emotions of the common man for their personal prospectives and people falling for it as like the flies fall for the lamp. And in the end the question that remains is Who Gained What from the recent incidents. The public or Raj Thackerey?

This is very selfish Smruti, why didn't you guys kicked out Parsis, Gujjus,Northies in last 200 yrs when they were developing this City under British rule and later too!.
