It is only about 60 years the British people left Indian soil, and we are already at each other throat. A company (The East India Company) practically ruled India for 100 years taking advantage of our this ugly mindset (before the Raj). British raj controlled whole of India for another 100 years with perhaps only 10000 people if not less.
When the Islamic invaders came to India during the medieval ages, they observed the same foolish Indian always fighting among each other. We would rather trust a foreigner than people from another regions of India.

it became entertainment capital because Maharastrain made the first film of india..Mr Dadasaheb Phalke... secondly ..any place developed because of its social fabric and local skills and culture of native people ... maharastra was front runner in aboloshing social evils like child marraige ,start girls education ,untouchability (ambedkar is maharastrian) ... thats why mumbai developed ...

Any ways...get your facts right before uttering anything.Dadasaheb Phalke was Marathi.40-50% of heroines are Marathi and as far as development is concerned "Maharashtra" has been most developed state in India for many years..and its still in top 5...please note-it's not only Mumbai...and Mumbai is not end of world.

Bala sahab Thackeray is right. I am a non-marathi but domiciled in Mumbai. We must take pride in being from a state of Maharashtra. Raj Thackeray is not only suffering from Bird flu, but also mental retardation. An Indian First concept should be the priority. We must fight terrorism and should not dominate on internal people of India. Its time Raj Thackeray understands the meaning of politics. Politics does not exclusively includes dividing people, which he is hell-bent on doing so. He has no support and few years down the line, he will have to join some nationalist party or Shiv Sena otherwise he can be as good as a Shakha Pramukh of Shiv Sena.
Why Maharashtras have superiority complex. Are Maharashtrans not going overseas countries for finding job. If Maharashtr is so developed that it can't accept backward Bihari then then why they are also migrating to US, Europe, Saudi,Canada Australia etc.

Inferiority Complex from whom these taxiwalas and chaiwalas. Boss these people are no where. Marathi Manasachya khijgantithi he nahit ( We don't even think of them). It is their political bosses whom we have to target. These jobless politicians come in Mumbai to challenge Marathi people. What credentials do Abu Azmi and Amar Singh have? what justifications they can give for non development of UP. Lalu amassing wealth of Bihar he is now talking Jai Bharat. Rajs statement is absolutely right when he says Power Show in the name of Chat Pooja will not be tolerated. These Kripas and yadavs challenge Maharashtrians by flexing their Muscles in the name of Chat Pooja. Do visit Mumbai and see the excess burden these people have put on the already exhausted Infrastructure then talk about freedom of movment. With freedom comes the resposibility
