Why Maharashtras have superiority complex
by raj on Feb 08, 2008 05:27 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Why Maharashtras have superiority complex.
Are Maharashtrans not going overseas countries for finding job.
If Maharashtr is so developed that it can't accept backward Bihari then then why they are also migrating to US, Europe, Saudi,Canada Australia etc.

By the way Rediff has not reported Delhi Lt Gov's comments abt North Indians on 7/2/08 . Bihar & UP need to think about this also. This is one more bashing comment in addition to earlier comments/actions in Assam, Punjab,Goa.....(increasing list).

good question,
The diffrence is all trhe listed countries allow people via control migration.
In maharstra case, it is uncontrolled mighration. A personal speace is required by each state. Please do not over ride locals. respect each other

Understand the facts. No one is against the migration. It is all about respect to the local culture and traditions. The people from UP and Bihari think that Hindi is a national language and they are superior.

maharashtrians or any other language people when migrated to US, Europe..etc they don't demean the local culture. If they start doing that the next moment they will be fired.

Double Standards
by raghu rao on Feb 08, 2008 05:22 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

They are speaking of outsiders coming into Maharashtra. Does the country know what they have made Belgaum (Karnataka) into, it has become completely a Marathi city. They are claiming that Belgaum be brought into Maharashtra. Isn't this double-standards?

Belgaum is not in maharashtra, though it has a sizeable marathi population. So how are they outsiders? It is bordering maharashtra and karnataka so such things are bound to be there. This is not migration issue raghu rao.

You are right. Now it is time for Kannadigas to start "Marathis Hathao" from Belgaum. Then what would be the response from Raj and Bal Thakre..?

Raghu, better learn history first before writing....

How will you know whether a city belongs to a particular state ? By knowing which is the majority community staying there....How will you know who is the majority community ?

Simple but true. By going around the city and knowing the language on the signboards of the shops.

In Belgaum, the city since ages has been predominantly Marathi. It was taken away by fraud by the ancestors of India's once nose-digger-prime minister (Deve Gowda) with the help of the Mahajan commission.

Now what is Mahajan commission ? Go and read the history books....

Solution
by Sankha Ghosh on Feb 08, 2008 05:19 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

why not divide our country into 30 odd pieces, or 500, each district will be a new country. nice thing isn't it. we will need 100s of passports and visa to travel. no more divide and rule by any company or country, we will be already divided :-) may be we all be under US protectorate :-) and then one of us will invite Pakistan to help us ;-)

i totally aggree with balasaheb......his concern on bangladeshis and islamic militancy is more imp.than raj concern about north indians....i think if raj takes a stand on the above issues, will gain more popularity than doing what he is doing...u cant ignore the presence of a north indian in mumbai...its not possible..then why not raj become MESSIAH of north indian..atleast people like azmi and mulayam singh will not spread their kind of politics in mumbai...and we will not have to see their posters all over mumbai...

I totaly agree with Rahul, we must take some strong actions against Bangladeshis and Islamic Militancy. They just ask for shelter and become sloter, just visit Mumbar and she the worst situtation. Though Raj has done it for publicity , but then also there must be some watch on people those who shift to metros.

Raj

let merit prevail and we vow for an 'one india'
by mohit gupta on Feb 08, 2008 05:18 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

there is no where in the country where there is job reservation for the local people. if this type of law is enacted in maharashtra then other states will also follow the suit. and the problem will go on increasing. please dont advocate such kind of laws. let the merit prevail. let ppl move around the country to get the best job that suits them. alredy our country is facing huge problem of caste based reservation. this new type of reservation will totally divide the country.

today ppl from around the country go to bangalore to get IT job. if karnataka also implement job reservation for kanndigas, then many talented IT engineers will not get job. rather less talented ppl will get job and hence the whole IT industry of karnataka will suffer and hence whole nation. so a free movement of ppl to get the job without any preferences is beneficial for whole country. previosly mumbia was the job hub, today bangalore is the job hub and may be in future lucknow or patna will become the favourite destination of job seekers.
so, its the sence of mutual help that will make our beloved country great :)

Those who are saying everybody has developmed Mumbai. To them I want to tell that Mumbai is not developed only by so called Indiand but also by 100s of MNC have also set up businesses and poured $ into Mumbai. Mumbai gets crores of $ after export to other nation. So money is not only of Inida but of other countries also? So why cant Mumbai belong to entire globe.
