Mumbai is a cosmo-politan city, does not belong to Marathi or any sect. It is a financial capital of South East Asia. It must be administered by Union Govt. as union territory. It has its own problems of dense population living in flats, people from different States have settled here, all religion, all language spoken,it requires a different type of judiciary, infrastructure etc.,etc., Only union territory can look after such varied interests.

Dear All, It is now when elections are nearing why the issue of north indian and south indian should be out of Mumbai shouldn't arise. But as accepted by the mumbaikars they are and will remain part of mumbaikars.All the people from different parts of India have the right to stay in Mumbai until they have valid reason for. The migration of people without any transfer or valid work in Mumbai should be looked upon as a one of the solution to stop the unnecessary migration in Mumbai, this will stop Mumbai getting populated, polluted etc.

You might even as for a valid Passport and work permit to enter the state. How sick. Its india and every indian has the right to go to any place and make a living for himself.
It doesn't give license harass somebody. Wheter they are North, or south or maharashtrian. It is the duty of state to give protect them. Are marathi bhai logo, humlog bhi Indian hain aur Mumbai is in India. We can stay also there, We have gone there for our livelihood. It is nothing that we r getting preference, In private and Central jobs, we r coming thru merit. State jobs are for Maharashtra people. Who stayed there, become maharashtrian, and equally elligible for state job. Jahan tak culture ki baat hai, apna culture log kiyn chhode, Also we r not disturbing u for ur culture
