North Indians take pride in violating Law.
by mantena raju on Feb 07, 2008 05:14 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

There is no much difference between north and South India. Traffic violation is a common phenomina in the entire country. I have witneswsed this having travelled the entire country frequently. Traffic violators should be taken to task in a befitting manner. Regardsmb

I agreee with you....becaz...we have all types of people living & travelling in different cities...so the traffic violation part is general...its intensity may be different in different ciites...but in general everybody takes pride in violating laws.....This should be dealt seriously by the authorities.

What a Lt Governor knows?
by prabhakaran natesan on Feb 07, 2008 05:13 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

How many times this Lt Governor walked on the roads of Hyderabad or Chennai? I am a common man who frequently walk on the roads of Hyderabad, Bangalore and Chennai. In my opinion, Hyderabad road users are same or evrn worse when it comes to traffic rules. Same is the case in Chennai. No government owned buses stop at the trafic junctions even if the signal is red. It is not the case of North of South. We are Indians, and we are all united breaking rules.

Dear Manohar,

Karnataka is the only place in South India where migrants are made to feel at home. Have you lived in Chennai or Hyd or Kochi??

What happens is because of this open arm treatment given to the migrants, they try to take things for granted instead of becoming one with the local population. And when that happens, they are shown their place. This is not chauvinism. This is practical way of life.

Being a North Indian myself, I have to accept the truth.
But having lived all my life in Mumbai, and Maharashtra i differ on the comments about western Indias residents.
Maharashtrians and Gujaratis are the most placid people and not prone to breaking the law. They are the biggest upholders of law since they depend on the laws to go forward in life.

Maharashtrians, as a whole must be the most laid back community as a whole.

North Indian behaviour
by GR on Feb 07, 2008 05:04 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

No surprises there. Most people I have seen are boorish. They do not respect other cultures and languages at all. They crowd Mumbai and Bangalore. Has anyone seen them make an effort to learn the local language?

They do their stuff in Mumbai and ppl like Raj Thackeray shows them whose their daddy. Need someone like him in Bangalore as well.

As a general rule farther you go from Mumbai greater is the lawlessness.Just look at the way Bhaiyyas and Lalus behave-they are 2000 km from Mumbai, the Jats and Panjus are slightly better as they are about 1500 km from Mumbai. The LTTE friends are equally bad and they too are 1500 kms from Mumbai.Knowledge and civic sense is travelling at slow speed from Mumbai,it seems!!

Why the hell learning of local language is required. If they find they can't work without local language, they 'll learn it. I have stayed in Bengal and Mahrashtra and I can understand these languages a bit. But asking to learn these languages is asking for too much. Brother think global, not local.
