Mushroom !
by Your Nemesis on Feb 05, 2008 11:45 PM  Permalink

This guy is today's mushroom that propped in yesterday's rain. And notice that the interview is by Ganesh Nadar, the same guy who interviewed Radhika Selvi, another nadar. So, Rediff has a page quota for Nadars, eh?

Name of the party is - All society people's party. But he shamelessly says his base is nadar community. He thinks we are all idiots to get conned.

He doesn't have any policy of his own, he doesn't know how reservation is helping weaker sections, he doesn't know anything. All that he knows is he should be a full time politician as well as full time actor.

Reminds me of a Funny comment
by Krish on Feb 05, 2008 11:40 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

We were in a guest house and there was a movie going on TV in which MGR and Jaylalitha were jumping on the bed. A funny comment came from one of them as.. see our former CMs jumping around bed and the current CM makes them available to see freely. Now If Sarath is CM then he will ask everybody to marry and divorce freely

Whats wrong with marrying and divorcing freely?
If two people love each other and want to marry what is wrong with that?
If two people cannot stand each other and want to divorce, what is wrong with that?

Education is a big business in TN
by Supreme Court on Feb 05, 2008 11:22 PM  Permalink

At present college education is a big business in tamilnadu. particularly (BE, BBA, MBA, MCA, MBBS). Any politician capable of bringing a great revolution to put a full stop to this business can gain a mass vote from youngsters.
Im graduated from CEG, Anna Univeristy, Even there the Scou ** drels did not refund my caution deposit of 3,000 Rs.

Who will save us from Cinema/community politicians
by Ponraj on Feb 05, 2008 05:35 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

How many years we will run behind this bloody cinema based politicians? I agree cinema is a good entertainment and tamil cinema is grown well next to hindi, but it does not mean cinema artist is the only choice to become politician and chief minsiter. It is really shamefull to tamil nadu people to always keep chief minister from cinema. Apart from cinema our next choice is political parties from a particular community.Ramadas, thirumavalavan, sharath all depent upon a particular community. When we are going to neglect this political bunisess people?

I agree to your second point. Ramadas, Sarath depends on particular community. Particularly Ramadoss Scoun ** drel.
Buts wht wrong with actor turned politicians, they too are Indian citizens, also now-a-days only rowdies and criminals are doing politics, film artist are much better.

Atleast we didn't vote for erstwhile stars pretending to be netas and go around slapping people (Govinda- MP central Bombay) or sleeping with multiple people (Rajesh Khanna who defeated Advani, Raj Babbar), semi-swamis turned netas (Vinod Khanna), crooks like Shatrugan Sinha, chamchas of Indira who got their killer son out (Sunil Dutt) and the number one crook of them all Amitabh Bacchan (who defeated veteran Bahuguna).I am not even counting dancers (Jayaprada, HemaMalini, JayaBacchan) or their clueless husbands (the Jat neta Dharmendra)....so for every one south indian filmi politician there are 10s of bollywood netas!

Tamilians life is interlocked with cinema and mega serials and nobody - even the God- can separate. We call ourselves as educated, intelligent etc., but living without a goal to achieve. We live by still talking of Thirukkural, Ramayana, Mahabharat,Aimperungkappiyam,Tholkappiyam etc and not of recent past or current. We talk of simbu, danush and his father in law, vijay, ajith, kamal etc and no national leaders have come up in the recent past. tamilians, where are you heading??

Dilemma
by aiyo on Feb 05, 2008 04:26 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Rediff question: Will your children become politicians or film stars?

Sarath: Which children are you talking about, Mine ( children of maya his ex-wife ), Her's(Radhika' with Robert) or our's(Intersection of Radhika and Sarath Kumar).

Dont put our 'Supreme' star in such a dilemma...

funny translation
by thinker on Feb 05, 2008 04:26 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

"
he has also launched a political party called Anaithu Samuthuvam Makkal Katchi (All society people's party). "

i think "cosmopolitan" party would have been apt for '"Anaithu Samuthuvam" Makkal Katchi'

rediff, please have some pity in giving us English articles.

Definition:

1. made up of diverse peoples: composed of or containing people from different countries and cultures

2. showing cultural diversity: showing the influence of many countries and cultures
the city's cosmopolitan atmosphere

3. international in scope: having worldwide relevance or scope
events of national and cosmopolitan importance

4. knowledgeable and refined: showing a breadth of knowledge and refinement from having traveled widely
his wide-ranging and cosmopolitan interests
