Chhath Puja is a very important festival prevalent in Bihar and UP. Ppl worship Sun God and take his blessings during Chhath. And yes....you get to eat a lot of sweets and home cooked delicacies. When I was young and staying in a boarding, I waited for Chhath because my mom would send me a lot of stuff to eat and distribute among friends- after Chhath.
The brave soldier who fights at the border and lays down his life doesn't do it for MAHARASHTRA or UP or BIHAR. They do it for INDIA. These leaders who try to divide the nation are an insult to the sacrifices that have been made by sons and daughters of INDIA. They have no place in a great country like ours and must be kicked out.

Dear All, I live in Melbourne and think about racism ,discrimination or any sort of indifference as the menace of the society and would hate to see any Indian (Maharastrian ,North-Indian, Gujrati, Marwari,Punjabi etc) being discriminated by any foreigner or his own county-men. But seeing the kind of things happening in India, who would like to believe that we Indians don't want this discrimination. Why do people go to USA or Canada or UK , why can't we all just stay confined to our own state. I think "progress" is the word we all are looking for.Please make this forum a constructive one and not full of comments and retaliations.I don't think anybody with a normal mind and sense would ever want to get treated badly and same goes for the treatment he needs to give to other person.This is a form of RACISM which is going on in India and i truly and strongly object to that and trust you me,if you are a true Indian and true human being , even you would feel the same. Nobody can live his/her life by spreading hatred.If we start dividing India by states,religion,culture,language etc then one day we would be really really ashamed of ourselves and would regret this time. I love Mumbai, the same way i love Delhi , the same way i love Kolkata , the same way i love chennai,banglore ....I dont think its too hard to do that WE ARE INDIANS FIRST AND THEN WE ARE NORTH-INDIAS,MARATHIS,GUJRATIS,MARWARIS,PUNJABIS...JAI HINDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
If nitish.lalu,mulayam whoever they r if they get angry nothing will happens .simple one solution take this as a challenge and develop ur particular states than no need 4 ur ppl to go outside and get humilated ans beaten like janwar. This same sena ppl did same thing to Gujarati and South Indian ppl in 70 's and 80's but look at now same marathi ppl r rushing south to madras,banglore,hyderabad 4 jobs and Gujarat is the most industrialised state in India so up,bihar or w.e. needs to same thing i mean i'm not saying make ur patna like paris or luknow like london but atlest u can do something better than nothing.First throw out all rats leader be it mulayam,maya,lallu,nitish whoever just vote 4 development and progress not by cast or religion based politics. come on u ppl can do it.after all ur land is of shree Krishna,shree Ram,shree Mahavir,Shree Buddha!! and by 2020 these same marathi ppl will rush to kanpur and lukhnow for jobs like they r running to banglore,h'bad,madras, surat,baroda,a'bad. Jai Hind.

Sir i salute u .We need positive thinking ppl like u . i was so upset by reading all nonsense comments here but u made my day. u r 100 % right sir.y not develop up,bihar ...!lets start it now..after all up/bihar gives highest isi/ips to country !! y not serve our motherland!we gaught so many war !agreed with u sir. The employment/development in Maharashtra or any part of country is not the sole effort of that regional native, But that is the combined effort of all Indians, India is not built on the lines of region and religion but it is built on the requirement of the country, Punjab/Haryana/West UP is good for Agriculture, so it is there, Delhi is a political Capital, so it is there, Mumbai is a commercial Capital so it is there, Bihar/Orrisa/WB is good for minnig and it is there, my dear if you are thinking, that only Marathi did it alone so u are wrong. Compare US East Coast and West Coast you will get the answer. India is for all Indians, Not only for single region or religion. In UP everyone celebrate, all the festivals either it is from North, East West or South, and the people over there never have feeling of region and they never complained, they feel all India is one. But it is not same in other parts where India is divided on the lines of langauge and region, Because all the national Parties are from UP and Bihar there Presidents are also from UP and they play a politics of national level on the other hand through out India, regional parties to hold control on the region play the regional card and always provoke the people that they are in Danger and there party can save them but Actual Dangers are to these parties existence from national parties.

Biharis and UP Bhaiyyas have no place to be in Maharashtra. They are a burden on the already stretched amenities in Mumbai and other cities. It is high time Mahrashtra and Gujarat get autonomy so that outsiders do not grab the rights of son of soil. Or it wont be long before situation looks similar to what we have in Assam and North East ( thanks to the influx of Bangalis there). Bhaiyya Lokaana Heploon Kadhha !!

Agar sabhi N. Indians nikal gaye tau slums waley hi reh jayenge. There is an easy way to distinguish. 99% of Marathis live in slums. N. Indians like Tata, Ambanis, Khans, Bachchans live in palaces.

Its very foolish of Raj Thakare to target N.Indian. Its not possible to distinguish if one is N.Indian or S.Indian or Middile Indian. All look the same.
I live in US, sometimes I miss India and proudly say to Americans that yes, I am an Indian, an only nation having with maximum no of languages and other diversities. Now marathis (especialy gundas of Raj Thakre) are killing north Indians. Infect these politicians are killing the whole India. Now I understand that I did take a nice step that I left India 3 yrs back, and now I wont say to anyone I am Indian.
