In the west no one has even heard about Mumbai, everyone has heard about Bangalore. There is a term today (look at the dictionaries) called 'Bangalored' meaning 'my job has been taken by Bangalore'. If Mumbai lives at all it lives on past glories and on present charity by guys like Raj who at least help it to make it to the headlines of national newspapers on certain dates.

Once you move companies, Bollywood and people(intellect). Mumbai will be ghost town like Buffalo in USA. property price will crash and nobody will not want to stay there.
Raj Thakray has stirred a big contravery by making very bold statements. He may not be wrong on the questions he raised but his this may not be appropriate solution as well. If you ask any marathi bloke in Bombay, he'll support Raj's opinion in private, but will more than hesitate to go public.
The reality is, Mumbai is flooded with non locals, some coming here 30-40 years ago and some more recently. Now, that was not a problem as long as locals had enough oppportunities and enough to live their lives peacefully. Things have changed with changing times and that's resulted in a disparity of weather and status of locals vs non-locals. In Mumbai, the local marathi people have been virtually driven out of their dens in Girgaon, Parel, Dadar and ended up in distant suburbs of Kalyan, Ambarnath, Virar, Dahisar and so on. Jobs are a scarce commidity and competing with masses has made life more difficult.
This's the problem everywhere, all prospering cities and state go thru' this cycle. Be in Bangalore or Delhi or the USA. e.g. Desis in USA are very much like Bhaiyas or Biharis in Mumbai. They work hard,4-5 live in an apartment, take away jobs from locals and are willing to do whatever it takes. They see the life getting only better in the foreign place.
Why blame outsiders if you can't compete? These are times of opportunities, and fittest will survive making most of these opportunities.

No that we the people will have to talk.Not only this Karuna ka Nidhi but Thakres as well.They are the ones inciting ignorant masses for creating law and order problems.This virus is also popping up in Karnataka on it's own.
Biharis and UP Bhaiyyas have no place to be in Maharashtra. They are a burden on the already stretched amenities in Mumbai and other cities. It is high time Mahrashtra and Gujarat get autonomy so that outsiders do not grab the rights of son of soil. Or it wont be long before situation looks similar to what we have in Assam and North East ( thanks to the influx of Bangalis there). Bhaiyya Lokaana Heploon Kadhha !!

Well, Chinese did kill few millions in Tibet to straighten things out there. So did the Russians did in most of the East Europe and Asian states. We are after-all the worst democracy, we don't have direct election of PM or CM (that will make us true democracy)

Do you think that foreign rulers can easily take over India. IF CHINESE TAKE OVER INDIA, we will all be united after they take us over, kill few millions and all will speak Chinese. All land belong to China (including Mumbai). The problem is solved by China Or for that matter Americans in Iraq or Vietnam or Afganistan.

at least they dont kill local languages like hindi guys do . at least they dont piss off when we talk in our own language. You are right hindi guys are acting like chines in imposing their language on majority
