More autonomy to Maharashtra and Gujarat
by Attatar Yena on Feb 05, 2008 03:09 AM  Permalink

Biharis and UP Bhaiyyas have no place to be in Maharashtra. They are a burden on the already stretched amenities in Mumbai and other cities. It is high time Mahrashtra and Gujarat get autonomy so that outsiders do not grab the rights of son of soil. Or it wont be long before situation looks similar to what we have in Assam and North East ( thanks to the influx of Bangalis there).

Basic problem
by Prajeet Bhonsale on Feb 04, 2008 08:31 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

With due respect to Biharis and UPites, I have to sincerely state that the entire business is to instigate fight between Marathi and Hindi by power hungry politicians. While Raj Thackrey had no business to comment on Chat Pooja by Biharis, politicians from these states had a god sent opportunity to wash their hands in the controversy. Once again this the petty issue of migration, without understanding the basic problem has started and spewing poison on each other is not the solution. Influx from Bihar and UP has adversely affected the infrastructure of Mumbai as well as major cities of MS. Then again these people are not inclined to mix up with the locals and they want their culture to be imposed on us & their politicians are talking about the actions and the reactions.

While its true there are lacs of Marathis staying in northern India, fact is that Marathas there have mixed up with the culture of the respective states like sugar & milk. Shinde (Scindias), Holkars, Laxmibai, Bhonsales(in Thanjavor),Gaikwads in Vadodara are some examples. Even CM of Rajasthan, Vasundhara Raje is too Marathi. The first CM of UP, Mr. Pant was of Mahahashtrian origin.

The problem arises when the outsiders particularly from UP and Bihar are averse to mix up in MS (or any other state) culture and they want their language and culture to be imposed everywhere and thats the origin of the problem.

Under the constitution of India, they have a right to settle down anywhere in the country and earn their livelihood," BJP spokesperson Ravi Shankar Prasad said.

You are right Mr. Prasad, BUT constitution DOESNT give any Indian right to live on side walks and railway stations. Why are you not saying this in unequivocal terms?????

Have you checked the condition of Shivaji Park during 6 th december every year? Who are those people come to Mumbai on 6 th december without ticket? Check the slum population of Mumbai you will find 75% are Maharashtrian only, have you or NA-RAJ Thakre seen their condition? Many farmers are committing suicide in Maharashtra but NA- RAJ Thakre is roaming in BMW, what is his contribution to Maharashtra?

EXACTLY my point. When Maharashtra itself is struggling hard to provide better life for its people, how can it take added burden of UP and Biharis? Isn't it responsibility of their own states? Why are states created on linguistic basis? What are their politicians doing? Accusing each other of murder conspiracy?

Man grow up and think about the real issue.

As for Raj's contribution to Maharashtra, he has provided jobs to lakhs of MArathis through Shiv Udyog sena during Shivsena rule.

Now, tell me Bachchans contribution?

Either you are biggest liar or on payroll of NA- RAJ Thakre. How many Biharis has driven out of Maharashtra by NA-RAJ Thakre & his lakhs of people. If he is so capable why did not do anything for farmers. All these drama only to create vote bank. It does not make any difference to me if Bachchans or Biharis are thrown out of Mumbai, but address the real issue instead beating few hawkers or poor people in the name of Marathi & non Marathi. All the metro cities are facing similar problems. Mr lair ask your NA-RAJ Thakre to atleast provide few jobs to farmers who are real maharshtrians.

If the biharis stop hogging on jobs, maybe the whole issue wouldn't have come up at all. The problem isn't with the entire northeastern community but only the scum of the society who live on the sidewalks, crowd trains, abuse their environment, and vote for politicians like govinda. The people like you JK who can read or write can't understand the gravity of the situation. Although, you deny it, you contribute to the state of Maharashtra positively. So does, Bachhan, although inadvertently. The vendetta isn't against you. Its against them who flood into Mumbai every day from Bihar with a hope to make it big but end up on the streets. They are uncivilized, uneducated and they multiply faster than you type a reply here. They clog the urban infrastructure.

Don't you think its more than just coincidence that biharis aren't welcome anywhere? Assam, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Delhi? That state has just people as a resource which it is more than willing to share!

Some corrections-- AB's brother was messed up in Bofor's case.
AB went ahead in film life without the help of Gandhi family but by his sheer screen presence. His popularity was one of the causes of his closeness to certain politicians

The core issue is CASTE politics in India...

The core issue is CASTE politics in India...

And NOW it is

Maratha(Thackeray) Versus Brahmin(Bachchan)

Casteism aka Hinduism in India is nothing but a covert mask of socio-economic Collusion.

Vote only for candidates from your Caste.
Do NOT care if he is Corrupt/Competent.

And just watch the Magic...

your messahe is stale.
btw I myself do not like or follow the caste system but I think you are a Paki. Someone corrected you that Bachchan is Kayastha not Brahmin. Kayastha has been the traditional educated service class unlike the Brahmins who did everything for hegemony. You would know this difference if you actually were interested in caste system like the message you posted but it is unlikely you know this and would be writing for a division and hence a Paki.

Mr. Sinha you are right. Actually, Thackerays are also Kayastha. I know Mr. Sinha is from North. This problem wouldn't arise if people from North (and south) respect local sentiments and try to get into mainstream in local cultures. No one is expecting more than this.....But if you insist on speaking Hindi and forcing your cultures on locals then this problem will happen in every corner of the country.

obviously you are a kayasta. Brahmins never opted to take thrown. lived in forests. fought for independence and gave the power to common man, even when he made it a fashion to abuse him verbally. How do you derive that Brahmins did everything for "hegemony"?
