I cannot believe that these are going on in Mumbai, our own Bombay, which was the true spirit of Indian modernism and the most cosmopolitan city in the whole country. Mumbaikar, or Bombayites were the coolest people I had experienced and were always welcoming anyone from anywhere. And today Mumbai politicians want to throw away people belonging to north India. Someone, please tell me it is a political stunt only and common people in Mumbai don't agree to this... Damn! As a country are we Indians flowing straight to the gutter already???
(1)- Launch political movement for getting laws enacted:-
(i)- By Urban Development Ministry of Government of India where parameters / specifications for urban planning will be made mandatory all over India. Wherever people's density is more than mandatory limit then a law should be there to allow sale of land and landed property only to government and no further sale to private persons till mandatory parameters / specifications are reached. State (Maharashtra) can enact laws which will be (in better urban planning sense) in addition to this central law.
(ii)- By Centre and Maharashtra State that agricultural land will not be transferred to any other purpose except in exceptional cases recommended by high power statutory body.
(2)- Launch a NGO / Trade union at all India level to safeguard the interest of workers of National Rural Employment Guarantee program. (which will stop exodus from rural areas to metros and big cities).
( 3)- In the interest of cultural empowerment, MNS should ensure that Marathi is developed to an extent that it can and does replace English completely in Maharashtra (even by launching NGOs for education and health on the basis of no-profit no-loss limited companies).
Its only now that the media is bringing to notice a very convinently forgotten fact.
Violence started after Samajwadi Party leaders and North Indian like Abu Asim Azmi, Mulayam Singh and Amar Singh made outragious speaches of vowing to throw all Marathis out of Mumbai and to distribute lathis to North Indians in the Samajvadi Party meeting at Dadar in Mumbai.

Violence started after this outrageous statements by north Indians.
Imagine you taking 25,000 Hindi speaking Bhaiyas to Bangalore or Hyderabad or Chennai. And there make a statement that you will throw out all Telghus out of Hyderabad or throw out all Tamils out of Chennai or throw out all Kannadigas out of Bangalore..!!!! and then say Hyderabad, Chennai and Banglore are not anyones personal propertey. Its that outrageous.
Media has been selectively biased against Maharstrians and Marathi on large. Where Anti Raj news was put out with the maximum vissibility. The provocation from North Indians was very very conviniently ignored.
Why does Mumbai belong ONLY to marathis or Maharashtra? This is ridiculous. There needs to be a constitutional amendment to make the top 10 Metros their own jurisdictions. Trouble makers and parochial TERRORISTS like Raj Thackeray should be dealth with as such, and not be accorded the status of political leaders. If you do this, then why should India be a "nation" (note I did not say country) at all? His Uncle Bal Thakre got his start in "terror-politics" by targeting South Indians way back, and now this terrorist has targeted North Indians. Enough is enough..
If cities earn the privilege of being capital of the country in terms of Political(Delhi), Commercial(Mumbai),IT( Bangalore),Cultural(Kolkata) It clearly means these cities want to draw the resources from across the country. It endures the changes the city undergoes due to the mingling of the sects of people. People from Other states donot discard the cinema from Mumbai, Grapes and Onions from Nashik or Cotton from Vidharba. Raj Thackerey should understand this that all the products and services have unrestricted movement in the country. The enemies donot require to send terrorists if similar situations occur across the country. Raj , request you to understand this simple logic.
Branding a city commercial capital is tough. It needs guts to make a Singapore ? Isn't it Raj.

Some people are claiming that Mumbai's development is because of Maharashtrians or otherwise.
People! Cities like Mumbai, Chennai were not made in a day. They were developed as centres of trade as they had favorable conditions for instance being a sea port or moderate climate etc.
Now that effort of generations has gone into the development, all of a sudden Mumbai becomes a Maharashtrian property.
People saying that if north Indians are good enough why dont they develop their own state. As if the entire Maharashtra or any other state of India is completely developed.
There is only one Mumbai because it has its history and legacy which had respect for hard work without any discrimination. Thats what Mumbai is!
Non-maharashtrians are saying that they contributed to mumbai's development so they have right to migrate to mumbai. fine. but what about PUNE , NAVI MUMBAI , THANE. these cities were built and developed by marathi people. why are non marathis migrating there? all cities in maharashtra are being flooded with outsiders. the logic non-marathis use to justify migrating to mumbai does not work in other cities.

Excuse Me! I have never come across "Non-Maharashtrians claiming their right to migrate to Mumbai because they have contributed to its development."
As far as developing the others you mentioned. EACH CITY IN INDIA IS BEING SHAPED BY INDIANS FROM ALL OVER THE COUNTRY.
Engineers are moving to and making BANGALORE, HYDERABAD and PUNE. Poor unskilled workers from RAJASTHAN and CHHATISGAD are building our roads and sky-rise apartment buildings. You wont ever find MARATHIs, GUJARATHIs OR TAMILs in masse carrying bricks. BHAIYAS work shoulder to shoulder in the factories of Maharashtra. MARATHI FARMERS are providing agriculture produce. So are local SMALL SCALE INDUSTRYS alive becuase of MARATHI BRETHERN. The BIHARIS make the CHATS and PANI PURIS you enjoy every evening.

Tank, We had enough of Pani puris and Chaat. It is causing lot of julab. Further, teh stench and stink of Biharis and UP bhiayyas is too much..LOL

I am including all in mumbaikars because , Mumbai is known for its diversity the and Mumbai is standing there with strength because it was never a typical Maharashtriyan place it Represented India , the way india is known for its " Unity in Diversity " Mumbai was also famous y we all hindus are fighting mongst ourselves y , dont we have brains whether its north south east or west afterall its India, do we need to draw borders again to separate all states no UP person can go to any other state and No Maharashtrian will be allowed to cross Maharashtra Border same with othres State too??? and if anyone violates thi rule they will be shot Is this th way we are trying ro reduce India's growing population??

marathi people dont migrate en-masse to other states. migration in this country is not uniformly distributed. few states like maharashtra are getting bulk of migrants.
is it maharashtras responsibility to feed all the unemployed and hungry people of india?
is that not the responsibility of respective state governments? otherwise what is the role and use of UP/Bihar govt. ?

Why should Raj be blamed for fomenting regionalism ?? When DMK supports LTTE why is there no concern about regionalism ?? When Akalis install the portrait of Gernail Singh Bihdrawale in Dam Dami Taksal ( who wanted to break up India) why was there chilly silence among the desh Bhakts ?? When Bengalis openly rioted to protest against exclusion of Saurabh Ganguly from Indian Cricket team where were the those who cry foul agaist regionalism ?? The truth is people from UP and Bihar have swamped the states like Delhi, Orissa, Assam, Maharashtra and Rajasthan. Wherever they go they start behaving like they are in Azamgarh or Siwan. They do not respect the culture in which they go. Raj Thakeray's fight is against those that want to convert maharahstra into azamgarh or Siwan. This fight is not for jobs or resources but to maintain local culture and avoid lawlessness of UP and bihar. Lalu and Amarshing should take a dip in chulu bhar pani because it is their failure that people from UP and BIhar are flocking to other states. What have they done to improve the situation in UP and Bihar ?? Before commenting on what is right and wrong these leaders should get out of their AC cars and mix with common people instead of partying with bollywood celebrities . Just ask people of Orrisa, Delhi, Assam, Rajasthan about people from UP and Bihar and you will know why the Raj Thakeray got so much support. As for Abu he is ISI agent. Govt should expedite pending criminal cases against him.
