Real Problem...
by Ind on Feb 03, 2008 10:46 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The real problem is concentration of industies in metropols..why the hell govt.allocate land for new industries in urban area only ?? there are plenty of human resources availabe in rural India, they could improve the infra structure in rual places and could stop migartion of people in urban areas like mumbai , delhi or banglore

If land will be allocated in villages then Mamta (like politicians) will start cry and will start advocating interests of their people.

Emergence of coalition government and regional parties getting strength the is real issue

Raj Thakrey-action needed
by Big Hawk on Feb 03, 2008 10:41 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I am a software enginner and am appalled to see that Raj Thakrey and his fellow goons are not yet arrested.

Also,on the other note -I would rather learn Java or C in detail rather than wasting my time in learning regional languages like Marathi,Tamil,Kannada,Gujratai etc.

Friends,by abusing each other we are really bringing bad name to our upbringing. This is exactly what politicians want.Plz.. start understanding the motives....One state is no India..also,act like mature individuals... our own relatives work in US /Europe et al...what will happen to them if some goon starts threatening them too.....fortunately they are still mature and ahead of us...What about all these MNCs which have come up here... ask them to pack their bags as well...they anyways will do the same ....someday...if this hatred mission goes on.

Regards.

RE:Coward Deshmikh Govt
by Anup Chaudhary on Feb 03, 2008 10:36 PM  Permalink
Before Maharashtra CM does anything, it's important for UP and Bihar Chief Ministers to generate enough employment and social security in their own states so as to further their own growth. Maharashtra has been doing enough, and now the situation is such that Maharashtrians themselves are going into a minority. Migrants from UP and Bihar will continue to invite wrath in Eastern states, Maharashtra and alike till the time they do not become a part of mainstream civilisation. They cannot continue to refuse following Mumbai Metropolitan culture, and create huge islands of breakoff groups celebrating local festivals.

RE:Raj Thakare,Misguider to Mahrastrian people
by Peter Parker on Feb 03, 2008 10:55 PM  Permalink
Dubeyji, he is not misguided nor is he misguiding anyone. He is simply pointing out the correct issues. Its the northies who are feeling threatened. As far as Jaya bachhan and her family is concerned. Let them move to UP and call their SP folks there if they have the guts. Let them deal with Mayawati over there.

if other indian states boycott Maharashtra made goods, Mumbaikars will be with out jobs.
by rajan bar on Feb 03, 2008 10:17 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

TATA,Reliance,Bajaj and so many of the mumbai based corporates earn their revenue because more than 90% of their products are sold in states other than maharashtra.if people boycott these goods, then maharashtrians will be with out jobs.there are as many marathis living outside maharashtrians, as much indians from rest of the country living in mumbai.what is wrong in that? there are huge number of maharashtrians living in bangalore after the I.T boom.they dont talk kannada neither they proclaim themselves as "kannadigas" or say" jai karnataka". this is india, a free country, independent country with equal rights for every citizen to choose his job and live wherever he wants.there are many kannadigas who have south indian hotels and pan shops in mumbai.there are many keralites who are present in almost all jobs and businesses in mumbai. why target poor North indians, most of whom make a living by driving taxis, and hawking eatables. the well settled north indians are living in fancy flats and are not coming to the defense of their brothers because they r afraid of the goondas.already muslims are branded as anti nationals by the sena parties. now, north indians are attacked. earlier tamilians were attacked. very soon, they will demand visa or entry letter for coming in to mumbai. this will lead to anarchy.i hope better sense prevails.

This shivsena has history.it was founded by thakre to drive out Gujaratis in 60's who founded it and once they realised it's impossible to drive out gujaratis because they were @ 40 % populations they went after south Indians in 70-80's,then they went after mathi muslims in 90'sand now after bihari and bhaiya's !! shame on Indian politics.y they r roaming free.y they don't charge these takray's with treason!!

First of all, let the OTHER STATES PRODUCE THE GOODS by setting up industries. That will stop the mass migration into Maharashtra.
They dont have any infrastucture, only corruption. And then the people come to maharashtra in droves, and deny locals first chance.
To those who talk about Marathi/Hindi, ENFORCE Hindi in your Southern states first before talking about MArathi-Maharashtrians have been assimiliting other cultures for FAR TOO LONG.
To those whose laborers are facing issues, create jobs in UP, Bihar, Rajasthan. And then talk. Otherwise, shut your mouths.

By the emegence of coalition government and regional parties getting straglehold in their territory, these parties will always be looking for issues which can stimulate local people.

This is going to be proved extremely detrimental in coming time as they don't have national issues and they don't bother about people belonging to other regions.
