Their relationship will never be clear // DMK will say onething and do another. They wanted to separate Tamil Nadu from India - essentially they are separatists - but now they have more than 6 central ministers who rule INDIA !! The head of the party has built enormous wealth - all within the family. They criticized Indira Gandhi for dynastic rule! What are they doing?? Worse than dynastic rule - children of each of the wives are being taken care of at the expense of TN and India. Supporting Tamils in Srilanka is different from supporting LTTE .. DMK always supports LTTE and not Lankan Tamils as a whole. LTTE does not represent most of the tamils in Lanka.

Many states didn't believe in Indian Highest judiciary, Supreme judiciary. Tamilnadu is the only state have espect towards Supreme Court. First all neigbouring states of Tamilnadu respect in Indian Judiciary, Then you talk., The words are coming out are all from jealousy. Nothing more...

The Tamilnadu chief minister can advice the congressmen to respect the Supreme court ruling in POTA case and not pressurizing him to arrest Thirumavalavan which is the misuse of law under the prevention of unlawful act.
Congress only wants votes if not why did they ally with MDMK,PMK in particular which support the LTTE in addition to the DMK.Now to cry hose is a joke. IPKF went to SRi Lanka killed over 5000 Tamils and lost 1250 soliders for nothing along with 2000 crores of Indian taxpayer money.Premadasa kicked as out. Had Rajiv done nothing he would been alive.LTTE is not against India .They are fighting against the Sri Lanka actually after 1991 they have not even attempted any atatck in India.

LTTEs dont carryout any operations in India and had cleared the same few times through their Political Heads. Corrupt and Anti-Tamil elements in centre arrange for fake search operations claiming such "5 cadres with x amount of substance arrested" to create unwanted unrest in the state and to prevent the people here from helping the struggling Tamils of Sri Lanka.
A BAD nexus behind, of Pranap, Subramaniya Swami, Narayanan, work out this.
So what is the gain for these guys? For the first two, Illegal Perks from Sri Lanka like Terror States. The last one has some peculiar reason that he and his fellow were once ill-treated by so-called karuna lead Dravidian regime. (So, where SL Tamils come here?). But karuna is the worst element by taking all the credit of identifying self as Leader of World Tamils and do nothing for their difficulties.
Here LTTEs are noble kind doing their job rightly.

I think you havent read the history verywell, first of all,what makes you think that sinhalese were the indigenous people? the fact is both sinhalese and tamil were the immigrants from india which dates back to 6th or 7th century,only the former reached there early and established there first,that does not give them the right to kill the tamils and rape those innocent womens just because they are hindus and because they dream of free country of their own which cares and fulfills their needs. the present srilankan governments genocide is being overlooked by india for obvious reasons. india is well aware of the torture and hatred killing s commited by srilankan army and blaming the civilians killed as terrorist.if india supports the cause of the poor and innocent tamils,it risks antagonising predominatly majority sinhalese governmen and that would let US to set up its base in Srilanka .india doesnt want US to use this oppertunity and set up thier naval and air base in srilanka.it would be like having a giant dragon sitting in the backyard. But lets remember one thing, The dream of tamils for a free country is legitamate ,but the atrocites of sinhalese is ironical to what their god "buddha" had preached about non-voilence and peace.

Seven sister states - Instant death if you are non-assamese. Punjab - Khalistan Kashmir - Kidding? Rajasthan - They call you 'Paradesi'. Maharastra - Vidarbha movement. UP - Bundelkhand, Poorvanchal etc ...
Due to the intrinsic cultural diversity, each State in India cannot 'productively' govern more than 2 million citizens. India should 'decentralize' 604 districts into States or Cantons as in Switzerland.

I guess you are not right about North East. There are seven states with 70 millitant organisations wanting people to be 700 different things at one time so you are dead no matter what you are as you are not the other one (you know what i mean).

The development is hampered due to more regional politics. If you take the case of Tamilnadu politics, DMK and AIADMK rules the state based on dravidian idealogy since 1967. The national parties bite the dust before these regional parties. This is due to lack of clear cut decisions by the national parties on regional issues. Regional autonomy should be given to state governments in taking decisions of regional importance.
More autonomy should be given to states which will lead to development. If you consider Europen Union (EU) more or less equal to geographical area of India buthas 27 independant states Vs 31 states. Each EU member is progressing due to their indenpendant decision making powers rendered by EU parliament on many critical areas even though working on common currency and market. So, regional autonomy is the best way to suceed in near future.
