Unfortunate
by satish reddy on Feb 02, 2008 12:23 PM  Permalink

Heartfelt condolences to the sailors and their bereaved families. Yes this incident is a fall out of dumping of vintage and obsolete equipment by developed countries to perspiring nations. Navy is not oblivious to falling prey to this bait as the nation due to lack of forethought is toying short term gains over the difficult long term planning.quite akin to the spate of consumer goods with vintage technology in market due to relaxed conditions unlike euro/US norms.

A clear indication of lack of Safety precuations being followed.

The Higher Ranks should be held responsible for not taking care of their trusted subordinates.
