Taking few examples and applying it all over makes no sense. I have graduated from Akola, and i know how much cheating happens in one of the best universities of Maharashtra. If you want to see the real talent broaden your outlook and look into the competitive exams at national level. Everything is not fake.Maharastra still has many colleges where bigger chunk of seats have reserved for the Maharashtrians. If the seats are kept 100% on all india competitive exam and open to all indians, the composition of students will be something you can never even think of. People who have seen many universities and colleges of various part of country better know who stands where.

This is your narrow thinking of jumping to a decision with one media based example. Its perhaps Maharashtra where Higher education comes on the basis of Marks. In Bihar for Medical/Eng/Agri and many other exams you need to pass competitive exam. National test takes place all over India and still max students cracking such exams are from North and in particular Bihar. If you are from Mumbai, go to IIT Mumbai. If you are from Pune go to Pune University. Visit the colleges which are taking students without regional reservation and see the quality of students and where they are from and then give the remark. I hope you will have a different opinion.

Which school in Maharashtra did you go to? And btw, I studied at an IIM - where people from maharashtra are called 'ghaties' coz they are the most 'crude'. But like most generalizations, even this is incorrect. Neither are all bihari's corrupt nor all maharasthrians 'ghaties' ... but you, for sure, are a moron - of the highest order!

the exam may be prestigious but the exam centres in UP/Bihar are certainly not. That is why u have hordes of candidates studying in Delhi for the exams but prefer to appear in these exams only from their state centres .

Well, great going.Thankfully they've taken time out to appear for the exam.I guess that's good enough for getting degrees in bihar.Kudos to Rediff to bring it to the notice.May today be a red-letter day in the development of Bihar.

Yup certainly. But why put blame on common biharis. Was Bihar the same some 30 years ago? People like Rajendar Prasad and his likes came from the same state. Why is the state of affairs so deplorable today? We all know . So no point in blaming them for the fiasco. Total absence of administration law and order are to be blemaed for that. And we all know who is responsible for maintaining these. What Laalooji has done to this state with his brigand of Bhaloos it will take another 100 years to correct that situation.
Why should Raj be blamed for fomenting regionalism ?? When DMK supports LTTE why is there no concern about regionalism ?? When Akalis install the portrait of Gernail Singh Bihdrawale in Dam Dami Taksal ( who wanted to break up India) why was there chilly silence among the desh Bhakts ?? When Bengalis openly rioted to protest against exclusion of Saurabh Ganguly from Indian Cricket team where were the those who cry foul agaist regionalism ?? The truth is people from UP and Bihar have swamped the states like Delhi, Orissa, Assam, Maharashtra and Rajasthan. Wherever they go they start behaving like they are in Azamgarh or Siwan. They do not respect the culture in which they go. Raj Thakeray's fight is against those that want to convert maharahstra into azamgarh or Siwan. This fight is not for jobs or resources but to maintain local culture and avoid lawlessness of UP and bihar. Lalu and Amarshing should take a dip in chulu bhar pani because it is their failure that people from UP and BIhar are flocking to other states. What have they done to improve the situation in UP and Bihar ?? Before commenting on what is right and wrong these leaders should get out of their AC cars and mix with common people instead of partying with bollywood celebrities . Just ask people of Orrisa, Delhi, Assam, Rajasthan about people from UP and Bihar and you will know why the Raj Thakeray got so much support. As for Abu he is ISI agent. Govt should expedite pending criminal cases against him.

why we blame the leaders of bihar or up? if the people r having such foolish demands. At such occasions students get united but not to fight against courruption. This is ridiculous that LAW students r demanding to allow unfair means in the examinations. Leaders r the mirror image of society then how can they shall blame? (if we people r at fault & how can we expect that the leaders would be Mr. Clean?)

why u blame innocent and poor people from bihar and up for this mess. what they have done? is it a crime to go other sate for livlihood. the political leaders like raj are spreading poison for the political mileage. yes i agrree with u that each political party are using social fault line to gain vote bank like bjp on hinduism, bsf dalit cards, congress muslim appeasment etc. but what they are doing is wrong. people from other states is are brothers and first of all they are indians. donot divide this country for petty vote bak politics. donot blame the innocent people like hawker, daily wager or coolie for this mess.we are first indian and then we are bhiari punjabi or maratha etc.

Look at the Root Cause people from Bihar Leave their home town and come tom Mumbai and else where not their Problem... Accepted your Point. Then Intelligent People like you should try and Improve your State tell politicians to work hard to improve the Infrastructure there. Ask TATA, Birla, Ambanis to OPen their Plants there (I am Sure as Much as your are that they are more than Anxious and waiting for our invitation). So get started.. Atleast you can Do it and we will be saved from an over crammed city with Less Air,water to breath. You know we are also going the state at which Bihar is today. You are our Saviour, our Last hope.
No wonder biharis are always using unfair means to pass exams...they always cheat and pass oin exams ...then come and sit on heads of the common man. They know nothing, just know how to migrate to other cities and eat their jobs!!

The root lies in attitude of Bihari & UP people...Der's no point in blaming the leaders .. after al leaders like Lalu are a by-product of common thinkin prevalent der... if situation has to change first change ur attitude.. jus evading ur state n flocking to oder places wont do any good..do some development in ur states n work hard !! Today wot has happened in mumbai & maharashtra can easily in oder developed parts of india as well if it goes same way... u cant burden oders because of ur short-comings !!!! n as of rioting in bombay i think even dat is not justified.. its not d solution !!! it has oly caused trouble to common man..
My dear big city dwellers and superior english reading people, this practice is much better than the practice of donating huge money (read bribing) and getting into a college and engaging only in memorizing the whole stuff and reproducing the same in the exam halls like a pendrive. So much for the quality education and the testing of memory powers in the big cities. At least these protesting students have their minds free and open. The minds in big city dwellers are full of memorized content and ability to fetch it fastest and no way wanting to learn!
Are you justifying what students are doing out there in Bihar??? How can a sane person do that?? Grow up man. It is stupid to support anything that is wrong. Or do you seriously feel that all such students are going to be an asset to this country!!!
