Must be expelled
by Nand Gupta on Feb 03, 2008 12:18 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The students who are creating disturbances should be immediately expelled and should not be allowed to appear in their future examination. Then only these kind of students will learn some lessons.

Indian law will be in their hands
by b on Feb 03, 2008 12:14 PM  Permalink

How do we expect the persons who are using illegal methods to pass the legal exams to be fair enough in getting the justice ?? Such persons should be permanently banned from entering any professional exams and also should not be allowed to join the politics.

Copying in Exams: The U.P. Experience
by A Singh on Feb 03, 2008 12:14 PM  Permalink

Results of High School and Intermediate Examinations, used to be in the range of 50-60 % pre 1990. In 1990, the then Government of U.P., led by Kalyan Singh, clamped the anti-copying act in the state, and the results dropped to 13-17%. The act was called a conspiracy against the backward classes and blatantly communal. Mulayam Singh Yadav, the great secular leader, promised to withdraw the act as soon as he came to power, and did so, when he came to power in 1993. Since then, the results have been on the upswing, and have reached about 90% in recent years.
From the above, it is proved that:
(i) Discouraging copying is a communal act, and(ii) Allowing students to copy is a proof of secular credentials.
Now, the present Bihar Government is supported by BJP, and no wonder, it has some communal overtones, and hence this hindrance to allowing copying. No doubt, Nitish Kumar being a secular person, will set things right soon, and allow students all kinds of unfair means.
Amen.

The Degrees and certificates of education earned from the states of BIMARU need to be derecognzed or make it a free for all throughout the country and let the international community boycott us. I don't see any other remedy from these sick minds.

IIT Kanpur is also in BIMARU state. Does any institution in India dare to derecognise IITK degree? Then do you want free degree from IITK?

Mr Editor please mind your language

"In Bihar, the use of unfair means in examinations is a rampant practice. Not only students, parents also demand the right to use such means during examinations".Mr Editor you know the consequence of using such a statement. It will be so so kind of you if you can back it with data which you can't.And do consider yourself extremely lucky if there are no PILs filed against you. All the best. In future please if you can't show respect to the student community of Bihar atleast have some dignity in talking about their parents.

Well said Mr Jasvinder."Truth always hurts"...it really hurts us a lot to learn that when Bihar is trying to go in the right direction of development our brothers from other states of India are feeling proud to demean us.

Rediff will win any PIL hands down Shinjan Bose. There is no point in feeling hurt when reality stares you on your face. The fact remains that in states like Bihar and Uttar Pradesh cheating in examinations is very common and parents also have a role in this sick mental make-up of their society. Recall here Shri Kalyan Singh's attempt at cleaning the education system of UP and recall here the amount of opposition it invited. And Mulayam singh when he returned to power the first thing he did was to remove the anti-copying law.

The next time you see 2 IAS officers together please do remember that in all probability one of them is a Bihari as Bihar send maximum number of IAS, IPS officers. And you can't accuse them of cheating as the final selection round is not held in BIhar.

bullsh@t. most of these guys are totally useless. they try to get postings in the South, since law and order situation is much better down south. their communication skils are pathetic; i remember, a few years back, when in school, the District collector (A BIHARI), came to address the gathering during the Republic Day parade. His usage of English left us dumbfounded...great English...beautifully laced with grammatical and pronunciation errors!! Bihar ki Jai.
Mr shinjan bose, pls ask the IAS/IPS officers from Bihar to remain there itself and devote their God given skills towards the betterment of Bihar, without disturbing other states.
