but are they upto the marks when its matters?...They are good upto education but when come into real fields they are just like any other graduate....I heard they get hired by best org in world and after sometime shown the door..This may be exception but I've not heard any thing great coming out from them on world level..like some idea which can give some name to them and to our country..
The IIM's are churning out managers who have developed a mindset of top class servants. They join MNC with fat salaries and work as servants. Very few have applied their talent and started entrepreneurial ventures that could make global products. The IIM Grads look a pale shade when we compare them to the vast numbers of IITians who have worked on ideas and created organizations that deliver the best products. IIM Grads are an obnoxious lot with a greedy attitude, never taking risks. They are parasites.

Even IITians are idoits, Not even a SINGLE earth shaking invention !
They are also runnning after money joining some bloody MNC in an UNRELATED field. Very common to see an IITian graduate in biotechnology and electrical joining some bloody foreign investment bank and serve their white skin masters.

AAAyyyioooo Muraaatheeee..... whatever it is.. at least a million times better than working for some frustoo black skinned sinister looking master..... And its a professional world... EVERYONE works for SOMEONE..... Even top notch businessman work for their business which in turn works for people... so the concept of independence exists nowhere....

Earth shaking inventions are very rare for any group, Mr. Murthy. If you look a bit downward, you will see IITians involved into many inventioned some degree less than earth-shaking. Why not appreciate that? Whether a person will choose his/her passion-field as career path is a personal decision and there is quite possibility of diversion at this age of lure and greed. Yet the other side is also not very uncommon

I do not know your educational qualification and job, but at least can say MNCs are not fool to pay IIM graduates fat salaries for nothing. They get it because they deserve it. You cannot expect people not to accept high salary job en masse only on moral ground (and that too vague). Even then, you will see 10s of IIM graduates who renounced fat salary and working at a remote village for social improvement. Do not belittle their effort with sweeping comments. Yes, they are small in number, but is it not the same in other fields too?

Give some respect to person of his calibre. U R Anantha murthy has given some of the most nice works. There are many good authors in kannada literature as well. He even comes to that category, each person has his own way of doing things. Please dont scrap something CRAP. Get a life.
Ayurveda is the pure Indian medicinal science rooted from Vedas and form part of it. Ayurveda was not given its due importance post-independence because of negligence shown for the Hindu based science (through Vedas in the Hinduism by Hindu Rishis and Saints) by the post-Independence Pseudo-secular-rulers such as Nehru (guided by Gandhiji) and his family (in India and hooligans like Karunanidhi in T Nadu) as a path of unwarranted appeasement of minorities just to show the minorities that they can vote for congress during elections. Let the ugly politicians come out of this Pseudo gesture and give the due recognition to this part of Veda called "Ayurveda".
I , hailing from a vaidya family , know quite well how the cult, so established even during British rule, perished due to negligence by the goverment in rule! HOW MANY ESTABLISHMENTS OF AYURVEDA WAS SET UP IN THE DEVELOPED INDUSTRIES , INSTITUTIONS AND OFFICES ? PRACTICALLY NONE, EXCEPT SOME SHOW OFFS! We saw all allopatic arrangements only! Thats why we sons of established ayurvedic practicing families SWITCHED OVER TO OTHER PROFESIONS FOR LIVELIHOOD! Is that an ENOUGH proof of negligence?

Yes, You are right, MM Gupta. I have personally seen deterioration in the state of affairs in two state run Ayurvedic colleges ar Hardwar. They lack the basic infrastructure, and for this reason are not a favorite destination of patients requiring emergency care. Moreover, students not willing to learn Ayurveda are recruited year after year. These, immediately after passing out start their own clinic and start prescribing Allopathic Drugs. The teachers themselves do not follow the path taught by Ayurved. I am yet to see a teacher who wears a turban, Applies Chandana to the forehead or carries a stick or an umbrella. If they or their family members fall sick, they resort to the modern medicine rather than taking Ayurvedic treatment.
Many a things that begin when one least expects them to. Likewise, many a things too meet a catastrophic disappearance when no one is watching. The heading may have been uttered in light vein but who can avert the inevtible that the end of age is at hand - its just in the offing.. Maranatha!!
In two serious cases against IT Dept. & Unit of Defence Ministry (Cantt. Board) despite decision of Information Commissioner against second appeal, the two departments refuse to provide info under some clause that CIC doesn't consider applicable. Where does one go after Second Appeal to CIC? I think its just farce & the Act is not helping a common citizen. People concerned in such Govt. Depts. who refuse to furnish info must be penalized and brought to book & forced to follow the RTI Act.
I'd say I only like the Amitabh Bachchan of 'Anand', 'Kabhi Kabhi', and some others of the yesteryears... after that he became a gimmick artist, especially from the 80s... his movie selection was third rate. It's only because of his voice and the choice of the Indian masses that he rose to heights. A true educated Indian would not talk much about his works over the past say 25 years. And definitely not over the past 10 years after the KBC shit. We need to rate him on an overall character which is very poor and most of us would know that. He jeopardized Rekha's and Parveen Babi's lives... made hay while sunshine with some other actresses. He exploited the media to the fullest in shameless ways just because he could cover up the massive losses he incurred for staging the Beauty Pageant contest in the mid-nineties. And not to mention, the way he is forcing himself on screen today along with that lousy actor son copycat and his cat-eyed wife... he is definitely the gimmick artist of the century. And he can get nowhere close to Dilip Kumar or even Rajesh Khanna as a gentleman artist... on an overall rating mind you.

hahaha Vishambhara you have lost your head and blabbing your self made fantasy. Pravin Bobby was Alzheimer's pateint and one sided crush on Amitabh. This is the glory and elan of this man that you still take time out to argument on his name even today more than any of todays so called superstars! Whatelse testimonial u want..when u gave urself automatically??? And plzz dont talk about Dilip Kumar and Rajesh Khanna like cartoons...had they been so powerfula and characterful they too would have ruled for 4 decades of Hindi cinema..... Dilip Kumar himself never understood what dialogues he uttered, and his every dailgoue carried same expression....and rajesh Khanna...one after another affar...Anju Mahendru, Asha Parekh, Mumtaz, Teena Munim and Dimple...shameless creature who lost his stardom to Amitabh not just due to talent but character too! Sameway how u can forget the tragic death of Madhubala due to Dilip Kumar? and How you can not talk about the fact that Dilip Kumar Married Saira Banoo to get more closer to Saira Banoo's mother with whom actually he was having an affair!!! Amitabh is matchless in every aspect be it character or be it talent...this si why he is not lost with time like these jokers and even today youngest of star dont dare to stand near his giantness....ask SRK...he will tell u the best! Salman and Akshay already said that.

One of the pillars and may be the last in the queue. And by the way it is a long standing habit of we Indians to look at the truth from an emotional angle and call it bullshit. With no offense and due respect to the fans of Amitabh Bachchan, I am just voicing myself over here. If you want to go ahead and patronise Amitabh Bachchan, go ahead and do so, who's stopping you.

He is the only pillar of hindi cinema ... none can match his verstality and dimensions of characters played....from typical msala entertianment of 80's or be the classics of 70's and be all sort of roles in 2000s...this man is undisputed God of Hindi cinema. Just go and watch his next coming movie: The Last Lear releasing on 12th Sept, and feel the punch!

Hi agree with you Agastya This AB pillar cannot stand on his own. He always needs the support of his daughter in law, son & his wife to support him or vice versa.
