Sahi bola re.. IT industry has given us employment, jobs for middleclass, Gloabl exposure.

The author of this article tell me in the 80s and early 90s where was India's name on Global map and see today where are we.

American President says we don't have Bangalore in America its very unfortunate.

Japnese PM when visited India directly went to banaglore to Infy campus not to meet bul shit politicians.

Then quit the job.People think it is enough to get a job once they are out of college. After spending 2-3 years in a company, they show the know-all attitude. They think they are trapped in a boredom work and they are worth for cutting edge work. But before that start analysing yourself how capable you are i.e were you academically brilliant, have keen interest to do research and plethora of other qualities required.

SICK

Have become sick of hearing all the so called superpower status of India in multifields.

How could a nation where 60% people are below povertly line, 40 % of its population is below povery line, Inflation rising sky high at 13% could declare itself a superpower in blah blah categories.

Rediff should be ashamed of such hypocraties.

People stop WONDERING

So why did the surface tension phenomena happen for just one day? Actually a few hours. Did something get into our environment un-noticed by the so-called scientists? Maybe you would be more believing of the same event if it had happened with Christ & would have come with some western spin around it.

I am just culturally a Hindu and belive every religion is a harmful myth. While Islam and Christianity are after world doination with their own set of lies,I belive Hinduism will beat other religion on its sheer stupidity.
Asking why surface tension happened only on that day is the sign of that stupidty.
If you dont know that IIT Madras debunked this hoax not on that divine day but after few weeks, keep your mouth shut.

BIMARU - Bihar,Madhya Pradesh,Rajasthan and UP (the Northern or cow belt) which are considered bimar or sick and are the poorest states in India in every category.

The Bimaru State is having Islamic Poppulation , and activist of SIMI, so naturally worst crime rate, corruption rate, highest population growth, lowest literacy rate, worst health care, highest unemployment etc would be the result. Any doubt or Question plesae ?

They didn't allow the people to draw the maps, we all would have been our own former glorious kingdoms.

BIMARU, It seems that you have been living in metropolitan city and you dont have any about foreign countries. Not far, go to Dubai you will feel the difference. I am not comparing with America or England, France.

Europeans and Americans are still thing that India is land of snakes and snake charmers.

Naive optimism is the worst pessimism
by marxcapitalist on Aug 19, 2008 12:03 PM  Permalink

Those who shout with coarse tones that progress of India is measured by number of malls are nothing but fools of worst kind.
Next to some tribes in Amazon we would be the next ones openly defy any kind of law.
How many Indians are comfortable reporting to police on a crime, are we not afraid of police more than the thieves??If the protectors of Law could evoke such a distrust?what can be said of others??

Remind it is the same rediff which posted some time back India is the murder capital of the world!!!I again say
Naive optimism is the worst pessimism

india is not a IT superpower. it is a superpower in servicing IT. please make necessary corrections. for IT related things we are totally dependent on USA, China and other manufacturers of hardware and software.

we are only a service industry working for west. we have nothing of our own.

So do you prefer that since we have nothing of our own we should stop servicing the west too? When Boeing supplies planes to Air India, would you consider it a case of them servicing the east? Do mean India should own all cos like Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, Google, etc only after which India can be considered an IT superpower? I dont know whether India is an IT super-power or not, but I can assure you that Indians are. Today, whichever co you go all over the world, in any Industry, anywhere in the world you go, you would find the IT department having an Indian representation. Same with the so-called IT super-powers like Microsoft, Google, SAP, etc. Indians are definitely the biggest ethnic group in these cos. Still feel bad for India? India is doing fine, stop worrying about us servicing the west.
