Belief in God is inversely proportional to IQ. Higher the IQ - lower faith in god....so while intelligent people might have less morality as you define it, people believing in god tend to be not so bright.

so according 2 u mr verghese and his ilk should be dumb? >> not necessarily - sometimes brainwashing from childhood create far bigger insecurities than your intelligence can rectify through rational explanations. Statistics and correlation are pointers which only tend to give prediction - just as it does not prove that athiests are smart people. Your question definitely indicates a lack of knowledge of statistics if not an indication of you being dumb.

Man is free either to beleive in God or Not..it doesnt bother anyone as long as he spreads goodness...but sadly again goodness is another quality of God..sadly the atheist doesnt even acknowledge the same..does it bother..inversely proportional statement holds no water..as majority of the most intelligent people on earth are the Jews and most of them beleive in God..

well said..multiplicity of Gods means the same..No God..hence utter confusion and full materialism..but then u have an hypocrite people..a false sense of nationalism..false sense of national pride..each one for himself..so like crabs each one sits of the other..no unity save back biting and massive corruption..no accountability no responsibility..different methods..no direction..only internal struggle no acheivement..total disllusionment..no identity..a race devoid of spine..spineless wonders...this sums our nation

so its natural you have protection of minority rights but if hindu majority gets killed its like rats getting so no human rights.
Read by searching google for ' nehru dynasty ' it will open your eyes why this is the only country minority rights is treated with more respect than majority.

Hello - what are you doing with a name like "Andrew Rao" and commenting on the army ? I think the British traditions is what is keeping the army professional and non-political - else it would be no different from police and CRPF. Think before you post. The British came and I think it makes sense to continue their best traditions. A company is as good as its CEO and an army as good as its officers. Like it or not - that is a fact.

The whole of Hindustan owes its freedom to the brave soldiers who have laid down their lives and those who are still fighting at the frontiers.
Come on Indians be patriots and make it sure that we all remember these martyrs everyday. Our country has a trend that we remember our soldiers only during the war time and forget them very easily. The families of these martyrs have sacrificed so much for the nation.
Make sure we take care of them and also tell these idiot politicians not to make any issue of these things in elections.
The current situation is getting from bad to worse. We battle terrorism in J&K, North east, interior parts of Maharashtra etc. Not to forget the pakistanis and bangladeshis who have intruded in Hindustan. When our army if facing such difficulties its our duty to remain alert and inform them of any suspicious movements.
Wake up Indians or it will be too late. Thrash every pakistani and bangladeshi you come across. Don't entertain any of these b..st.ds in our land where our soldiers have shed their blood. Only then Hindustan can bcom strong internally and when it happens we can take care of external enemies.
