My take: Give India another 20 Years. Many ills will be taken care of. It is a very good time for US to partner with India. India will not, ever be like China, a country to fear. It will be a very strong country, and will remain friendly and open. It should not surprise you that the highest rated engineering school in the world is IIT and the highest rated Management school is IIM. Both tougher to get into than MIT and Wharton. Medical schools like AIIMS and CMC Vellore are not household names yet in US but they are names to watch. India has a lot going for it in the realm of higher education. Give it time and not too much either, India will surprise you and very fast.
What is use of it. Again & again we are talking same issues but practically wealthy people become wealthier and poor percentage is increasing day by day. The middle class people are always barking nothing he have guts to do anything. I do not how long we have to patient. Every politicians are talking when he /she stands on the dais but again same issues with so many problems persisting. Corruption now a days highest manner direct by politicians with all the political parties whether they are ruling or not for example amar singh who is broker for India. He can do anything if you pay the money as per his requirements. Like that almost all the parties are there. Shukla [vice president of BCCI] in congress who also equally like to amar singh. He will also do many wonders if you may the money as per his need. This is our country . After all we are quoting ‘Incredible india’ Another way of corruption through police department in state and central government with the help of bureaucracy. Both are blaming each other but ultimately suffer is public. Every day poor people and middle class people are suffering but we are not able to solve the public grievance for a long time. Finally our politicians blame system failure or executives [bureaucrat] are not implementing properly.
I think that there is no doubt that he is a true Indian.He has done his bit in using his post as president to the maximum and giving his best in the wellbeing of this country. But he had limited power He is not a great politician otherwise all his vision would have been implemented Even if he was a great politician our constitution will not have allowed him to do every thing according to his vision What about the other currept politicians will the allow a honest person to run this country freely.
It is sad rediff.com like BJP, still can't come out of shock & greed.
India's democracy heralded four years ago dumping the fake Hindutawavdi's and thier supported then President, who desparately wanted to run for 2nd term.
Yes, Dr. Kalam is a celebarated scientist of the country, recognised world wide; but he misrably failed to read the selfish agenda of BJP, in particular; who used him for thier benifit and disowned thereafter.
Rediff.com is doing a blunder & dis-service to the current, first elected Women President, on the eve of our 61st Independence Day, by not putting her interview, on the discussion board rather then Dr. Kalam's, whom even BJP is not inviting even for thier smalest public function, ever since he ceased to be President.

I think rediff has done nothing wrong in taking the interview of Mr Kalam.He is the peoples President and always will be.On the other side Prathiba Patil is Just a rubber stamp of congress or shall we say Sonia gandhi

I do not see any wrong in rediff giving Dr Kalams Message HE IS THE PEOPLES PRESIDENT AND ALWAYS WILL BE.Prathibha patil is Just a rubber stamp of Congress or shall we say Sonia
Moderator why was my post on 'Population' deleted.What I have talked about was bare-bones reality.You don't even know the difference between what is right and what is wrong for the society.No wonder India mostly gets Spineless leaders.Someone had righly said u get the leaders u deserve.

Because of Congress we have president like Pratibha. I wish if Mr kalam could get next chance but congress didnt allow because they wanted some puppet and Pratibha is really enjoying acting as puppet...I dont want to see UPA winning for next election....CONGRESS == Gandhis. Only in india its possbile if Rahul Gandhai is playing 20-20 with some school village kids it will be shown to national channels...All airports etc will be name after Gandhis..sooner or later we will be having airports named after Rahul and Sonia Gandhi..

IT was Indian great time when Our KALAM the HONEST,great scintist and MANMOHAN JEE HONEST,great economist were in highest chairs of the countray.They new what is fact and giving solution also.SEE WHO AND HOW TO IMPLIMENT.
