Sensible comment I have ever seen so far. I have come across few people [like Karthik Raj, Sweet and Sandy] who always try to condemn or make fun of Kannadigas. They just look at Kannada film industry [of course not in good terms when compared to Hindi, Tamil or Telugu] and have got half-baked knowledge about Kannadigas or Karnataka. Such comments hurt me a lot but I am not the one who sends out hatred comments just for the heck of it. Please keep in mind that films are not seen as a religion in Karnataka unlike TN and AP.
Whatever there is always good amongst the bad – You leading by example.

Kannadigas are as crazy about films like rest of India. Annavaru Rajkumar's films for e.g. Every nook and corner of India is film crazy, I don't know much about Kashmir though!

I think it is high time Rediff stop posting messages that are devisive, it cannot be made a thrash bin for people to throw their garbage in their heads. The column has actually enlightened a lot of us about our country and we need to respect people who have made our country proud, if someone feels that the works of the many people listed here are of no importance then he/she should work hard to make his/her mark and set things right in deed.

You have told correct message to everyone to avoid regional conflicts as every state of India has unique history with pride and pitfalls. The attitude of the people of the state depends upon politicians who are being elected by people and the states's interests are being negelected by Central Government. Development must be equally distributed and politicians will cheat public as long as there is no awareness among voters. India is divided regionally by language is totally a fault of our nation's builders.Like United States,our country must be divided Central,East,North and South. No one wants to loose their regional identity. If it continues like this,sooner or later the enemies will be inside the country and not from outside will split the country and unity in diversity will be available in curriculum only. Politicians are gaining mileage due to instigating regional sentiments among people. Tamils are no longer separate people and the central government will become minority if the party belongs to Tamilnadu withdrawls support. Let people of Karnataka try to make active participation in the Central Government as Tamilnadu.

Neither I am happy with your comments nor Nits. We are Indians and we should be helping each other to make this lovely country good and prosperous. Neither Kannadigas are surviving because of outsiders nor vice versa. Being a citizen every individual has right to stay anywhere in the country where ever they want to. Outsiders who settle down in bangalore should learn to respect local language and culture. Otherwise people like Nits will be putting such derogating comments which might ignite the fire in your a$$ and would result in mindless comments being exchanged.

hi priya, better if u watch his movies like 'aarilirunthu arubathu varai', 'mullum malarum' and some olden days movies. watch those and do read ur msg. if u still have the same feeling, then something worng with u!
Mr.Rajani did not hesitate to apoligise because he taught if kanada fans think he had done something wrong then they should target him. AND NOT THE FILM INDUSTRY. (He was paid to act in film, when the film is about to be released they prevent it then the distributors, the cinima takies people will suffer and not rajani) So this great man stood up for them and did not care for his image factor. We are yet to know the full about him, let us wait.
