If the Jap's like him,he has something in him!
by Donny Mathew on Aug 13, 2008 02:08 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The popularity of Rajni is not within Tamil Nadu or within India but stretches to the shores of Japan. He is extremly popular with the Japanese and his movie Muthu ran in Japanese theatres for 200 days. Can you imagine any other Indian film or as a matter of fact any hollywood flick to run so many days?! Sivaji-The Boss is another highly successful film there.

The Japanese are considered to be very smart and sensible people. If they enjoy watching his movies then there is something entertaining about him. Not all movies are made to tickle our brains but some are made to just entertain. You go in and spend 2 hours of your time totally entertained by the gimmicks he does.

Don't underestimate the Tamil movie industry. These guys are flush with cash and can give bollywood a run for its money any time. There are some good actors and great directors here. Wait for "ROBOT" to come out. It will blow all records and will be something to watch out for.

Jai Hind

donny mathew do u know where japan is in worldmap? do u know anything about japanese people, language ,etc? what you said is taotally incorrect and japanese likes only hollywood movies. I am living in japan for 8 yrs in tokyo, japan. here in japan people gives more importance to hollywood movies than japanese films and no one wants to know about india and indian films. Our PM came to japan on dec 2006 and japanese media gave no importance to about it . this is the real situation in japan. get wake up dont believe wrong media hype.

He's an entertainer and was a good actor. He cannot be "Asia's best actor". Japanese like him because all their movies are world class and they have a hectic life and Rajini's commercial movies give them a good break.

I am a tamilian, but what you say is not true. When you generalize like this, you lose the right to criticize others. Politics and reality are always different. Are tamilians getting beaten up in Bangalore everyday? NO!

But Rajini's views on Hogenakkal was one of the craziest and money minded coming at the right time for his advantage. Alas! the movie is a flop!

he is nothing without support even in sivaji film also he had A.R.Rahman,sankar,shreya's glamour, vivek comedy in the film. But kamal do not need anybody to give a hit movie.Even in dasavatharam he took the complete film on his shoulder to the success.

this I wont agree. A movie like Sivaji ran only for Rajini. He does make a difference with his style. Calling him Asia's best actor and giving him importance during Indian independence is TOOOO MUCH.

RAJINI POLITICS LEADER
by pat ram on Aug 13, 2008 02:04 PM  Permalink

India is lacking in ABLE EFFICIENT AND HONEST leaders. Only CHARISMATIC leaders can get votes. We have charismatic leaders who are not honest and are corrupt. Here is a charismatic man who seems to be honest atleast. Whether he is able and efficient we dont know. It will be wise to encourage him to enter politics and he can give the present corrupt leaders some jitters.
