shame on mehtas !!
by Bunty on Aug 04, 2008 05:18 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Mehtas had made up mind that they did not want child.
now even if child is born, it shall be seen as burden.
No animal in entire animal kingdom behaves like humans do.
we humans are very selfish and cruel. We want only happiness and convinience.
so humans go to extent of sacrificing our children for convinenience.

Buddy, you don't know the rules of animal kingdom then. They kill the weak new born themselves; and always follow survival of the fittest. It wld be painful for parents to see the agony of their child. If abortions is not illegal; then how does 6 months can create difference?

i second you. when the parents decided for abortion, court should grant them permission to do so. If at all the baby is born i dont think the parents will take care of the child as usual

good decision

What if the Parents meet with an accident.....the Biggest truth is that WHO IS BORN WILL DIE ONE DAY......SO THE COURTS SHOULD NOT ALLOW ANYWAY TO DELIVER A CHILD .....LET US NOT FORESEE the future thru our limited knowledge of Science and Tech

Its a very sad verdict
by Preetam Bhojwani on Aug 04, 2008 05:17 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

It simply shows the impractical approach we have. Who will share the pain of the mother... she will see her child dying in front of her & just cannot do anything... Imagine her situation... when will we rise upto the situation, take rational & practical decisions.

Couples from UK and US are coming to INDIA to abort their Girl Child and what the Indian authorities are able to do?

Where does this brutal and inhuman insticts take us ..?

Where does this brutal and inhuman insticts take us ..?

Maye be people start thinking that individulas who are having one or the other handicaps are unfit to be born and to live among us. What pity and inhuman state of mind.

May be one day, the arguement can be extended to intellectual defficiency, appearance, physical streanght and so on ...

How brutal and inhuman for parents to think of killing their infant, even before birth, when they are more helpless, unable to deffend ... not even able to cry.

I am sure, the almighty divine one will curse them and their proponents for generations. Their karma will not be washed away, for a 1000 births, for milleniums.

If you were a parent of such a kid, you wouldn't be writing this.
I am sure you would been cursing God to have blessed you with a child who is living every moment on uncertainity. Imagine the pain the child has to undergo. People who are born with physical deficiencies, I am sure, wouldn't be alive if their parents knew in advance that their children have to live an abnormal life. I have seen a case where our neighbour had a polio infected child whose brain did not develop after six months. He was not able to walk. He could not behave no better than a six month old baby. I have witnessed his slow death which lasted for 2 years. Do you know the pain of the parents whose child suffers and suffers and die after prolonged illness ?

Sorry! to comment on ur statement of karma Think Pad. Can u imagine the pain and suffering the parents are going through and you are thinking of karma.

Knowing that the child will go through hell during the life, it should be the rite of parents to decide. We should not impose morality grounds here.

Babies are a god given gift and nobody has a right to kill them .
It doesn't matter if the baby has to suffer with the defects the whole life , killing a defenseless human being is not the way to go.

I don't totally agree..its not the parents that will suffer..its the child....if we are to believe in the Hindu afterlife...and the rebirth Id actually agree with the parents n doctor. No mother will easily give up her child....controversial as it may seem...As long as the "foetus" is a foetus...I feel you cant say its a human..else they should rename it to human or child or baby from week x.

If we leave everything to God then Science is a gimmick. My friend raising a child with such complication is not an easy job not to mention the medical expenses. To be practical is better than hoping for a miracle. The HC should have allowed the abortion unless it is ready to bear the expenses and also provide nursing help.
Wonder why the HC prnounces death sentences when it feels all lives to be so important.
