Manmohan,please retire honourably!!
by mallaiah anchoori on Aug 04, 2008 04:17 AM  Permalink

Congress's coming out of the crisis actuauted by the N.Clear Deal is not becuase of Manmohan's leadership qualitis ,but because of its manipulative politics which it has always been good at.Suggesting Manmohan's name could only be another strategy to woo the oppositions which have been heckling it since long that the party has been impoverished to the extent of being not able to find a name even to announce for the post of next Prime minister.Or even if it is genuinely thinking of his name out of political compulsions such as to erase the already weening impression that Madam is grooming Rahul for the post and hence had inducted him into the politics,donot feel happy.Whatever be the reason!Dear Prime Minister!Enough is enough! You
go in the annals of Indian history as one of the two non-Nehru family PMs we had ,till now, with bold letters also as one who signed the N.Deal against several odds.Please retire from politics with that satisfaction and do not never ever aspire to be back in politics which is not your field and does not suit your temperament at all.No body needs to tell you as to how you had to,many times,kill your conscience and act to the dictates of the party Chief's.Politics is not a field for an upright, intellectual & gentleman like you.For the honour of making you as Finance Minister earlier,you proved your loyalty by obliging the party's wish to be a dummy PM on its behalf.Suffice it.No more deceiving self.You can serve the nation better as economist.

2. What a telephone revoulution ?You can talk with just Rs 1 to anywhere in India
3. Was it possible now a days you are writing so easily in internet with out liberisation
4. France , Japan are running fastest train in the world of 350 km per hr.
5. all our heavy Industries are becoming sick due to no electricity availavle
6. Corruption which was all most 100% upto 1991 ,Now it has been reduced to only 55% .
7. How you will acheive 10 % GDP growth with out power

MMS EARNED RESPECTABILITY AND CREDIBILITY TO LEAD THE NATION
by bharatbarsha on Aug 03, 2008 09:05 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The success story of Manmohan Singh is not an epitaph rather it represents an iconoclastic transition that Indian politics and Congress party has been passing through. One of the main weapon for attack of BJP is to project Congress party's inherent weakness for Gandhi family to garner mass support and use dynastic rule as a punch line. The entry and recent success of MMS story has considerably blunted this lethal weapon. Rahul Gandhi as recent episodes suggest is emerging as a leader of congress party, focused on strengthening the organization, he seems to be neither in a haste or contrived. if future events turn towards his side, people of india elect him as a leader, he has every right to lead the nation. A woman being rich does not loose the right to love, so as in democrcay being born in a particular family does not rob him of his right to lead the nation. Right now, that's not the priority of congress party neither the nation is obsessed with such an agenda. More importantly, we need to grow our economy steadfastly, making our distribution more efficient and less corrupt, strengthening our commercial potentials,invigorating our science and technology and above all educationg our masses. WE NEED TO CREATE A HEALTHY,VIBRANT AND PROGRESSIVE NATION NOT MUDDLED WITH OBSCURANTIST IDEAS OR PREJUDICES OR HIDDEN AGENDAS. WE NEED TO STRENGTHEN OUR DEMOCRATIC INSTITUTIONS, TRIM TO MAKE THEM MORE EFFICIENT AND EFFECTIVE. WITH A HIGH CREDIBILITY INDEX MMS CAN TAKE THE NATION UP THERE

Will Manmohan Singh do a Zail Singh a la Indira Gandhi worship, and resign as soon as Rahul baba is ready to take over the PM's office?

He is the best person...
by aoneall on Aug 03, 2008 07:40 PM  Permalink

MMS is the best person to keep the chair warm till Rahul Baba is ready to take over. No other leader in Congress can match Sonia Bhakti of MMS. Sometimes, I wonder how come such a qualified and experienced man can bow in front of a half literate woman like Sonia with folded hands? Good Luck to Congress!

congress has given up on rahul gandhi ? not possible.
by raj on Aug 03, 2008 07:16 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

it just doesnt look likely that rahul gandhi has been overlooked. but if they indeed project manmohan as the PM - then they will have a winner for sure! projecting sonia the last time was a blunder. also the gandhi family has now found out a way to control the power while being out of the office, just a room above it and a loyal servant in the room below, will suffice and they dont look all that evil too - thats a hearty bonus!

Leaders like MMS are a new breed in congress. Such type was not available earlier. In the past, leaders in Congress could not be trusted by Gandhi family for such a critical job like PM. MMS is completely harmless. He knows he can not win election on his own of even a Panchyat or Municipality and that is why MMS will last long as PM if Congress remains in power.

A very simple and practical solution.
by Sastry on Aug 03, 2008 05:56 PM  Permalink

Those of you who feel that the govt. is not fair in giving equal treatment to all religions in the country should consider the following suggestions seriously:
a) Vote and form a VOTE BANK that cannot be ignored;
b) Patronize only Hindu Businesses;
c) Imitate muslims and visit temples as frequently as possible so there will be some degree of cohesion within the religion;
d) Never make any offering in temples controlled by the government;
e) Muslims are in general poor and illiterate which makes them believe in the jehadi culture although there are exceptions like haneef et all; So do not hate them;

Everyone have their own openion about political parties. What we can see today is all political parties currpted , there is no party clean, but if we compare one to one with all these parties congress is ok only because we have no other option than congress which is called a secular party

Sri Modi is the best and obvious choice to redeem the country!
by Sastry on Aug 03, 2008 05:45 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The best option available today. The most visionary, the most equipoised, the most charismatic, the most dynamic, the most respected person visible on the political horizon today. And above all the man of highest integrity. A person with conviction and passion for justice. I wish he has a long and healthy life to save our country and also bring the brainwashed Hindus who cannot distinguish between Secularism and P-Secularism.

Good decission .
by SUBBA on Aug 03, 2008 05:44 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

But Manmohanji should be given freedom to take decissions . He also should address public meetings during elections . That adds lot of benifits to Congress. May God bless him.

Not withstanding my anguish at his "First Right" slogan, i do not suspect him to be corrupt as a person. But your suggestion that any body without the Gandhi surname will be allowed to take independent decisions is really preposterous. The sole reason for this man to be the PM today is because of his proven and time tested loyalty to his boss.

Best option is not go by Supreme Court verdit of hanging the biggest terrorist, Afzal. Keep him alive, so that terrorists can hijack plane and get him released for further terrorist attacks.

Your memory may be short but the congress released terrorists to save the daughter of the then home minister of the country who is considered by many as pro-pakistan. BJP released terrorists to ensure the safety of unknown and innocent passengers.

You need to check the facts. To get the right information use RTI. V.P. Singh government supported by BJP and Left had released those terrorists. Congress was in opposition. We had seen on TV how Jhoothvani was sharing sweets distributed by Mufti. They never opposed such move.

I stand corrected. Thanks for the info. Still, I think I would have done the same thing if I was in the seat of authority. Released terrorists have the potential to cause damage but the innocent passengers were certain to be killed. One more point, even today, congress speaks about kandahar and blissfully forgets that single lady's release.
