Whome to blame!!!!
by mp nayeem on Aug 03, 2008 09:49 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Why the government always shed crocodile tears, after a major disaster, or tragedy happens. Why not they handle the situation properly, before hand.
Life is life, no matter whatever be the religion. What about the innocent children who knows nothing about the religion at all.
Lets learn a lesson from here. I am deeply hurt by the fault of the authorities who are solely responsible for this kind of mishap

Comon dont blame the govt for each and every thing. Do you expect the govt to make every single detail arrangements for every religious function in India or in a State.

And this is nothing new to India. Every year ppl die in some or the other stampede in religious places. Its completely the reponsibility of the temple authorities and the people. When was the last time you see our ppl behaving responsibly in public places with some order. I have experienced this first hand and hence have avoided going to religous places during auspicious times.

I am in no way saying that our govt is great, they are are not even bad, they are worse. But I dont agree in this case.

Avoid visiting places of worships atleast when they are likely to get crowded
by Avinash on Aug 03, 2008 09:45 PM  Permalink

People should avoid visiting places of worships atleast when they are likely to get over crowded to avoid such tragedies. A few months back there was a similar incident in AP and before at Pandarpur in Maharashtra.

No body is sure whether any god exists or not adn even if a god exists he/she does not sit in some temples/mosques/churches/other places of worships. Work is worship. Instead of spending money on such wasteful expenses, the same should be contributed to the orphanages or some NGOs working for upliftment of the poor.

Because there is no system in India . Everything is "for the moment" and everything is "chalta hai" attitude. That is one of the reasons our nation is still poor. 10 years of living in US has given me the perspective.

Even if there is a system people dont know to respect it. They violate every law and safty measures out of total ignorance and some times due to arrogance. All this can improve only if littracy improves. You can see in Delhi how even highly educated people violate the safety laws and keep extending their homes illegally out of greed and without any civic sense.

Fending for oneself
by Faceless Spirit on Aug 03, 2008 09:39 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

People in this country are left to their fate most of the time.
In my city buses kill unsuspecting pedestrians just on a running spree to fetch more passengers. Same road space is occupied by vehicles and people of all shapes and sizes simultaneously.
Accidents happen and you have to leave it to your fate.
Nobody in this country controls the rush.
In any monument of the world they allow only limited people in during rush.
Here no one controls and no one listens to controls.
So go die a holy death and god blesses you in next birth.

We Hindus are worthless breed. We are illiterate, we do not care about others. We live a life of "Every man for himself". When the general psychic is so degraded, what can you expect.

Terrorists killed much less people with so many bombs. This shows hindu fanaticism, lack of awareness, illiteracy are more dangerous than terrorism

Stupid superstious people...
by gur singh on Aug 03, 2008 09:36 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

All blame to uneducated, poor and innocent people who just rush to temples, processions and protests without even considering pros and cons. Now, they must be sitting in heaven! Have you seen any leader crushed in crowd?
Ask yourself, whether your life is important or going to worships stones, idols where highly likey you are putting your life in jeopardy! Kumb mela, processions and places of worship in mountains...you people are only polluting ganga, rivers, nature, ecology! God in right in your heart...India don't need supersitious people! In your home, children are hungry, house is in bad shape and you are going on pilgrimage...Only stupid person can think like that!
Sit home, contribute in society by awaring yourself about your rights and responsibilies, show your kids path of success, create their interest towards sports and science....rather than taking them in death traps!!

Good point Singh. Avoid temples during festivals. Hindus need not go to the termple. They can create a shrine in their own homes. Temple going is usually for socializing only.

You are misunderstanding me. Our Hindu religion does not require us to go to the temple like the Islam and Xtianity. Where they are supposed to worship only in the altar. All I am saying is avoid crowded days.Because we do not have resources to act in case of stampede.

The whole incident needs to be investigated in an unbiased manner. The guilty and those responsible for the death of so many innocents should be punished. Looks like there was no proper arrangement to control such a big crowd.
