Act in films... not in real life...
by Prabu Nitin on Aug 02, 2008 06:50 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Mr. Respected Rajini sir.... it's better to do our work and get our salary for the day bread. When the political parties were not united and raised a issue on the Kaveri problem, why the film artists has to waste a one day salary and fighting for the tamilians? Dear actors, Plz dont act in real life. There is government (nothing there), political leaders (swindlers and robbers), laws and judgements (onesided)... to act on the issues related to the socio economic problems.. Try to act and try to give worthy films.. Actors are also employees.. so do ur work the utmost and try not to get involved when it creates an insecure source for ur profession..

Political parties did not ask film industry to back them. they went on their own. just like how they went out to support Kargil or any other situation. So if Film Industry and Rajini went out to support, its their wish. Mr Super Star. There was not need for you to appologise to kannadigas. They do not know that the humane thing to do is share the water to the farmers on this side of the border.

If your film needs more collection, I will watch it twice or thrice may be and will even take my family all the time.

Just do not appologise.

I will not put it like that. If it was just for him he will not kneel/appologize. it was for other's livelyhood that he is doing this.

he could have done/saved both (His reputation and the distributors lively hood) by paying back the distributor charges back to them. after all it is not in his control if karnataka will not screen his films.

Rajni's apology was to Kannadigas not to hoodlums who created trouble.

Yes, because he was speaking against Kannadigas, I assume his apology was for Kannadigas. I still believe TN was right in that issue.

from your statement, one understands that there are no hoodlums among kannadigas. But then, is Rajni a fool to take his stand originally?

Look at it in this way. His career was shaped in tamilnadu and he is good at heart. But he could not shake his kannadiga roots and so he makes appologies. how lame. As a super star and a resposible citizen he has only tried to protect people who believed in him. Thats how it turns to.

This is not Sprituality
by Ram Suresh on Aug 02, 2008 06:36 AM  Permalink

Rajinikanth recent utterances in Media Apologizing for what he had willfully expressed does not go well with what he has Projected himself to be.He seems to be more of a Politician then of a spiritual entity.

These satyarajs and saraths dont have any following outside TN. They have nothing to lose. But rajni, kamal and many tamil directors have fans outside TN.

As Kamal said, these guys are behaving like apes after hearing the stupid speech of satyaraj.

All indian languages are mine
by S Sudarshan on Aug 02, 2008 06:34 AM  Permalink

For me Kannada, tamil bengali, hindi, punjabi etc all these Indian languages are mine. I respect all these languages and it pains me to see people fighting over the language they speak. If we fight amonst ourselves why do we need external forces disrupt our peace. Give respect and earn respect. Only then we can be united

by Viji Lakshmi on Aug 02, 2008 06:16 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

We tamilians should not encourage this mental Rajini anymore in TN. No one watch his movies, he himself will run to Karnataka after swindle all money from Tamilnadu, after all who is he to bring down all tamilians to Karnataka. And also we should chase out this khusboo out of tamilnadu. She is also like Rajini, a selfish goose.

HEI MENTAL dont question rajini's dignity he always dont want his producers and distributors to lose any money ok where these satyarajs and sarathkumars when the tamilians where attacked by kannadigas in early 90's they were too busy at that time now they have no picture and so having lot of time to give their stupid opinion to public and to get publicity but rajini is always busy and the publicity will get to himself. ok last but not least IVARGAL ELLAM SURIYANAI PARTU KULAIKUM NAIGAL

Mr. Rajini fan, Why your greatest rajini asking apology at the time of his film release? If he's a real legend, he should have asked apology before. Not only rajini, all actors working for money and it's shame thing happening in india only, Why these actors are intruding into political issues?

Apology needs shedding Ego
by Raja Subramanian on Aug 02, 2008 06:11 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I have great respect for Rajni. He sometimes seems vulnerable in doing contradictory things...But he just speaks out what comes to him. For an Actor of his stature and money, Karnataka money on Kuselan is peanuts. The apology is more relevant on the fact that he cannot and shoudl not take any strong stand about such controversial topics.
But on a different level, we people of India should become less racial and become tolerant of other states, languages and people. Only then we can speak of Unity in Diversity!
