Asking apologies was not the mistake he has done. Participating in the protest on the Hogenakal project on the pressure of CM MK was his biggest mistake. He did not have the guts to face MK and that is the reason he has not jumped into politics. May be he is waiting for MK to leave the arena for him to fill the vacuum. Except J and Vijayakanth no leader worth his salt has the guts to take MK head on. Kudos to Vijayakanth who has only his newly launched party to back him.

It is your mistake that thinking of him like a saviour of tamil people. You are mistaken if you think of him as your role model or icon and etc.. Can anybody tell me what good he has done so far to tamil people? He didn't help them out even at the Tsunami time. He didn't render his voice to motivate his fans or tamilnadu people to help Tsunami affected areas but some hindi actor came all the way to service them. However, he would ask people who to vote during election time. Or would ask them not to vote to the politicians who gave troubled his film release. He minds always business.. nothing else.
He pretend to be ascetic and will always speak philosipically but will do films in 100 crores and reap most of its profit. Recently somebody asked him to do a movie with him in a small budget he commented "how can i lift a lever after lifted a mountain already". Hence, he asserts that he means business in crores and wont mind about classic movies in small budget. This means he is not to help out cinema industry. He wants that his movies should make big bucks!
He opposed Jayalalitha and made bitter comments on her and asked all to vote against her. Then, when she came to rule, he praised her as "thairiya lakshmi" with out any shame.
Sometimes he would announce some amount as donation for some cause like how we do to begger. If you are earning Rs 10000/- then donating 100 wont be a big deal to you. Samething.. he earns in hundred crores, and will donate 2 or 3 crores. That is also

Ever kamal asked his fans as to whom to vote or not to vote? Ever Kamal used them to show his political influence? Rajni used them for all his selfish stands in politics. Kamal always very clear that he will not come to politics. He converted his fan club into social service forums so early in his carrier. But still Rajni keeps mum and keep every one guess whether he will come to politics or not. This way he likes to keep his political influence.
You can't compare him with Kamal buddy! Because he has used his fans and tamilnadu people several times to encounter his political enemies. He roared aggressively at the cine artist protest as if he is like a saviour for tamil people. People believed him and celebrated him at their heart. When he took U turn and let them all down, the frustration and the condemnation is obvious.

He is making all his fans kuchelan and make all his Tamil Fans Pauper and Fools. If any oh his fan is a pure Tamil he should ignore this selfish man
ignore and make Kuchelan a failure. otherwsie this man will pocket all the hard earned money of Tamil fans.
1. Rajni is not a political leader. 2. Rajni is not holding any post in central or state govt 3. Rajni is an actor 4. As a leading actor he has concerns for his producers & distributors
So, it is idiotic to cry that he has brought down Tamil Nadu.
Think of what happened 2 months earlier. It is the CM of TN - Karuna, who postponed the implementation of Hogenekkal Water Project. Why did Karuna do that? --- Its bcos Sonia asked him not to create this problem bcos of elections in K'tka. At that time Karuna let down TN by obeying Sonia's words for his party's and alliance benefit.
So, the hypocrite is Karuna and not Rajni.
Rajni didnt come to public to vote for him...He is an actor...Acting is his business...From his point of view, what he did was correct.
Another person to blame was Cine Actors Association & their president Sarat Kumar...Why did Sarat Kumar ask all the actors to participate in the fast? And those who didnt participate were asked to give an explanation? Actors too have their own independance to attend or not to attend the fast...Why did Sarat Kumar made it mandatory for all the actors to participate? If this order was not passed, Rajni might not have attended the fast - just to keep away from contraversy

How funny it is? U forget all the selfish acts done by your CM. But blame an actor for an apology.... If you are angry with Rajni, dont watch his movies....But, if people like karuna or JJ swindles your money (which we are paying as Tax), u dont protest but vote for him or her again and again...
The so-called regrets by Rajini may prove to be disastrous for him.
While Tamil people will have no objection to him apologizing to Kannada people for any misunderstanding in general, what will anger all Tamilnadu people is his praise of Kannada extremists like Vatal Nagaraj & Narayana who are responsible for the attacks on innocent people during Cauvery problem & recent Hogennekal problem.
He might be earning few more crores of money by doing this, but he either lost or will be losing the hearts of crores of Tamilnadu people, including me.
If Tamilnadu people have any self-respect, KUCHELAN will be the biggest failure in his career.
Is this the beginning of the downfall of the phenomenon called - Rajini...?
There could be two reasons for his comments: 1) He has completely lost his mental balance (or)misjudged the fall-out of his comments will have on the psyche of Tamil people 2) He has made up his mind to shift from chennai to Bangalore.
