The speed with which IAEA has agreed India specific safegaurds agreement under pressure from US shows that some thing is hidden in the deal. Hope we are not loosing anything big for the sake of this unconfirmed nuclear energy.

Myth #14: The deal is not primarily about making money; it is about creating a new U.S. strategic relationship in south Asia.

Fact: The deal is primarily about making money. The main effect of the deal will be to pardon India – to remove it as a violator of international norms. After such a change in status, there will be no impediment to U.S. arms sales. This is where the real money is, not in nuclear reactors. U.S. exporters have mentioned selling as much as $1.4 billion worth of Boeing airliners, hundreds of F-16 or F/A-18 fighter jets, as well as maritime surveillance planes, advanced radar, helicopters, missile defense and other equipment. The Russian press has even complained that the nuclear deal is a ploy to squeeze Russia out of the Indian arms market.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha. Everyone laugh with me for a PM who is so careful about Nuclear deal that he even challanged lefts who r supporting congis in centre, but this third grade person has not even moved by the serial blasts in Banglore, Ahemedabad & daily invention of bombs in Surat. I haven't call him a man coz that word is to be used for real brave person & our PM is impotent & coward. He thrown the cheques on deadbodies, did the drama of vising victims in total security & now this shameless person has left for SAARC. Now there he will pass the paper of condenm to Pakistan & will repeat his same old tape that we have a proof that Pak is behind these attacks etc etc. & Paki PM will show the way of dustbin to that paper of condenm. Hats off, great this is happening year after years. India is great really?

Yes, Manmohan Singh is a good economist but actually it is on that
front that this government must be attacked. Rather than gradually
raise oil prices so that the effect of inflation is kept under check
these bozos got into such a false sense of security that they thought
the party will never end. Hence we get this one really horrible year
and if the true price of oil gets reflected petrol would be selling at
about 75 rupees a litre in India which would take inflation to over 20
percent possibly 22 or 23 percent. Now let us even say that why blame
poor Singh for oil prices. Japan produces almost no oil. They are
almost hundred percent dependent on oil imports. India at least
produces about 30 percent of its oil. But Japan imports almost all its
oil. Yet inflation this year in Japan is about 1 percent. It is about
3 percent in other countries in Europe which also import quite a lot
of oil. So, certainly our two "esteemed" economists Singh and
Chidambaram must take some blame on this count.

Sate government failed in Gujrat. Surat Commisinor Brar himself admitted involvement of locals in blast.
Police and state govt failed in gujrat. They failed to detect 43 bombs in two VIP constinuency (20 Ahmedabad and 23 Surat).

I am wondering how terrorist plant bomb in CM constituency and PM in waiting costituency.

Sardar Ji will go down in History as one of best PM !!
by Amit Yadav on Aug 01, 2008 10:05 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Twenty year from now Sardar Ji will be remembered as one of best PM.

Guy who have changed face of India for good, as finance minister in 90s and PM from 2004 - may be 2020.

If Indra would have started reforms in 80s, what Sardar ji did in 90s, today India would have been ahead of China.

I remember opposition raising hell for GATT and WTO in 90s. Local Industrilist raising hell for opening markets.
Ultimatly today ManMohan is compared to China's Deng Xiaoping in 1978.
Now this Nuclear deal will fuel India's growth in comming decades.
Indeed one of the best PM.

Myth #11: India needs more nuclear power to assure its energy future.

Fact: Nuclear power has been virtually insignificant in India’s energy mix in the past, and will be no more important in the future. India has been generating electricity with nuclear reactors for more than 40 years. Yet, reactors supply only 2% to 3% of its electricity today. India has not built more reactors because they have not turned out to be as safe, or as clean, or – most important – as economical as originally thought. Even if India were to achieve a 50% increase in nuclear power generation (which is unlikely) such a step would only increase India’s overall electricity output by one percent at most, and would only increase India’s overall energy output by a fraction of one percent. That is not a significant increase in the energy available to India and would not decrease India’s demand for oil and gas.

All based on mis-representation of facts.
India's current reactors are not able to run more than at 50% capacity due to shortage of fuel.

And India is talking about 6-7 times(600-700%) if they manage to get 20,000 MW.
Please do some research before putting some posts which have wrong facts or are propaganda material

Bhaijaan,
bade hi nashukre hain aap, kya hoga is mulk ka abhi tak to aap sabhi ye nahi jaante ki Gujrat ki haqeeqat kya hai?
Aap belagam ilzam par ilzam lagaye jaa rahe hain. ham bhi is mulk ke bashinde hain aur ham is mulk ki behtari ke liye dua maangte hain par aap jaise jaheen jawan yadi ye nafrat baantne lage to fir kisi kaum ya majhab ka kya matlab rah jaayega.
Yadi aap N-deal ko lekar kisi rajya ke hukmaran ko bewajah kahna shuru kar denge to ye aag har rajya main aabad hogi.
Raha mudda congress party ka to aap ko maloom nahi ki is party ne jitna is mulk ka nuksaan kiya hai uska andaza aapko nahi.
aap sirf ek raaste par chal rahe hain aur usi ko haqeeqat maan baithe par ye party is mulk ke bawaare mein lagi hui hai aur kewal hukumat karne ke liye.
RSS jo hindu dharm ko maanti hai lekin waqt padne par sabse pahle madad ko aage aati hai aur insaaniyat ka jajjba bhi hota hai, ise maine dekha aur mahsoos kiya hai.
BJP jise congress communal kahti hai to ham kahate hai ki congress se jyada communal koi aur nahi ho sakta is mulk main.
aaj ke haalaat mein jo bhi ho raha hai us se to aap waakif honge par ye jaante hain ki ye sab congress apne faayde ke liye kar rahi hai.
