The writer of this article is the editor of a magazine that proclaims only hindutua for pure political reasons. If he is so concerned about ramsethu, then he should have raised his voice during Vajpayee's regime which originated the idea of sethu samudram project and laid out the plan for the routes. Now, since there is another govt at the centre, this man is making rhetoric accusations on somebody else. What was he doing when the actual plan was made by the previous govt. why was he not bothered about the sentiments of 100 crore people.It is a million dollar question. Pokhran happenned during Vajpayee govt. Now the same party is opposing the n-deal. Political parties in India never bother about the welfare of the people. They are always playing vote bank politics. The country is vary of seeing the misrule of all these politicians. We need a federal structure of a government where we, the people will have the right to call back the politicians if they abecome corrupted.

Mr.Madhan Raj Initiation of nuclear deal with USA was started in the regime of N.D.A. Now it is opposed by NDA. Why because the present UPA Government is playing the cards near to their chest.What is so much secret in that agreement. When foreign news channels made it public our government made it public. Shame on our spineless government.
i think congress does not think about hindus AT ALL. i'd dare congress to insult any other religion - especially the ones they support blindly - their private vote bank of muslims and christians.
its insulting, and this elections will show them their rightful place. bjp will sure drum up this issue. congress is stupid in thinking that they will not polarize communities even further - they are equally communal by insulting hindus. if you look at the amarnath shrine issue - goes onto say how much of a minority hindus really are! its endless how much the minorities are pampered in the name of being minority. unless there's equality for all - this countr will be further divided by only one party - congress. the people who have started the fundamentalism.

If upper castes support BJP enmass then it is not vote bank politics but if other groups of society support any other party in similar manner then it is vote bank politics? Is it not hypocrisy of upper castes Hindus?

But I am sure we can find Nehru's on his clothing, belongings, he must have ahair some place--he was baldy so lts of hair shedding, same could be true of Indira. Must have clean record to hold public office. 8. Invest heavily in education, defense, police and intelligence depts. Form a permanent homeland department to fight terrorism. 9. Make Goa/AndamanNicobar/Laksdeep one of them totally duty free and International banking center so all the swiss accounts are transfered to India. 10. Instill Nationalism and Pride in every Indian of their History, heritage and culture.
For you information, the wealth of the land is not from Hindus but from Indians. The collective responsibility of Indians to protect the Sethu Bridge should be for the welfare of the nation and Indians as a whole. The writers reasoning of bringing in religion and to paint all others as anti national shows how little minded he is.

you are squarely wrong. this nationa has absorbed all faiths and also has let them practice their faith freely. but, but, hindus were here for a very long time. and its more or less - by the virtue of numbers - their to claim - the temples, vast properties, kingdoms, the achievements. we have pride in claiming that it belongs to india and indians. but when it comes to talking about religion why should hindus shy away ? christians and muslims have zero tolerance towards hindus, why shoul hindus be any different ? why shy away from protecting whats an important momument.
the religious debate aside - this deal is only and ONLY to please dmk who own their dredging business. we lose a lot evironmentally. sri lanka has been crying horse about the environment being affected. its a security mess for them too as much as it effects us. practically this is a dead idea - and yet we have no debate, and i'd dare you - not one congress person will ever say anything about christian gods or muslims - its only the hindus they seek to wound with glee - and say expressing oneself as hindus is fundamentalism.
