What else do you expect from Congress. Bundles and bundles of notes given as bribe in the parliament were shown on television live.
What happened? Nothing. Corruption is like cancer in our society.
But one good thing is that the general public has woken up. It sees how insensitive and arrongant Congress ruled states and politicians are. Be it attack on Taslima or jounalists in AP.
They can purchase MPs with money. But they cannot cheat the common man for long. He has woken up. He will take money and liqour bottle distributed during election and vote for the party of his choice!
Congress is only keeping its promise to the DMK for supporting it in the recent voting. If only political parties kept their promises to the common man!
1. I would change the names of all International and national airports to hindu dieties. ALL the other sites of Hindu hertitage and history will NOT have the name of Nehru and Clan including Gandhi name. (not to confused with Mahatama Gandhi) 2. Deport Nehru and clan. 3. Move Nehru;s burial site from Raj Ghat to Kala Pani. Along with his history/belongings. 3. Deport all bangladeshis. 4. Remove all minority concessions for muslims and amend constitution for sec 340. Convert the muslims in India back to Hindus and break up their ghettos. OR move them to Pak/Bangladesh. Eradicate caste system, its obsolete. 5. Declare a full scale war on Pakistan and contain them for ever. 6. Firm up the borders with China. 7.Investigate past and present politicians for the wealth collected. Must have clean record to hold public office. 8. Invest heavily in education, defense, police and intelligence depts. Form a permanent homeland department to fight terrorism. 9. Make Goa/AndamanNicobar/Laksdeep one of them totally duty free and International banking center so all the swiss accounts are transfered to India. 10. Instill Nationalism and Pride in every Indian of their History, heritage and culture.

Adam’s Bridge, a series of sand-dune islets and shallows south-east of Dhanushkodi near Rameshwaram, links India with Talaimannar off the Sri Lankan coast. It has long been held locally to be the bridge Ram built to invade Lanka and rescue Sita, and is called “Ramar Setu”.
The Centre’s department of earth sciences has given an “opinion” to the government that the islets are probably a result of human activity.
The department, under the ministry of science and technology, says the sand dunes have a base of coral and sandstone that seem to have been “transported” from elsewhere.
Its unpublished report, of which The Telegraph has a copy, says the naturally formed corals in Lakshadweep, the Andamans or the nearby Gulf of Mannar grow vertically from a hard-rock base. But the Adam’s Bridge coral doesn’t grow vertically and appears to “rest” loosely on the seabed.

“The coral formations hardly occur 1 m to 2.5 m in length and rest on loose marine sands. Most… seem to be rounded pebbles of corals. These things appear to point that these… have been transported and placed in these areas,” the department’s note says.
“Since the calcareous sand stones and corals are less dense (and therefore lighter) than the normal hard rock and quite compact, probably these were used by (the) ancients to form a connecting link to Sri Lanka on the higher elevations of the Adam’s Bridge ridge and this is analogous to (a) modern-day causeway.”
The leaked report led to a ruckus in the Tamil Nadu Assembly on Friday. The Opposition, including the BJP, demanded that the ridge be spared and chief minister M. Karunanidhi hit back with accusations of a “north Indian” and “fundamentalist” plot to derail the project.
The Sethusamudram Ship Canal Project involves dredging the islets to deepen the Palk Strait and thus open a direct channel between India’s west and east coasts. Currently, ships have to make a detour around Sri Lanka.

Mr.Tathagata Mukherjee, even if the bridge was built by Lord Ram, he has no use of that now. Probably he himself would have demolished the same if it was coming in the way of development and well being of his subjects.

As per my knowledge Lord Ram of Valmiki Ramayana was a noble king. No divinity was attributed to him. He was protrayed as an epitome of virtue. It was in later day Ramayanayas (there are more than a hundred version and one in fact called "Mullah Ramayana") which attributed divinity to him.
Do you want the hindus also to be dogmatic like the followers of some other religions? The only saving grace of hinduism is its ability to change with the times. I do not think that we need some "protectors" as our native culture has survived the onslaught of Semitic religions for nearly 1000 years. Still abut 83% of Indians follow the native religions. That itself is proof of its inherent strength.

Mr.Tathagata Mukherjee, we are not paranoid like the right-wing hindu parties the muslims/christians to think that my religion will vanish from panet earth if some "protectors" do not take care of that.
