She should be imprisoned for
by Subir Dhar on Apr 30, 2008 05:59 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

During the trial at Supreme Court, it was proved beyond doubt that she was an active accomplice in the assassination of Rajiv Gandhi.

Because of the intervention at the highest levels, her punishment was commuted to imprisonment for life - imprisonment of life means for entire life, and not for 14 years as she and her lawyers are making it out to be. She should be kept in prion till she she is alive - nothing less.

It is a matter of great concern and regret that Sonia Gandhi helped commute her sentence - did anyone take the views of the families of the other 20 people who died on that fateful day? The crime was not just against an individual, but against a nation.

When I see so many lawyers contesting on behalf of her, I wonder where the funds are coming in to pay for the lawyers ? Ordinary people cant even sustain a minor legal case, how come Nalini and team are able to sustain such a legal case for so long? The nation deserves an answer.

Regards

Subir Dhar

Very well said Mr.Dhar. i really wish if we all start asking questions and also perform greater level of lateral thinking, we will be a developed nation by then.

If this is lateral thinking, then surely we are going to develop.

And for a woman who did not even know why she committed the crime, don;t you think that 17 years is too big a punishment.

It is not a crime committed for personal gains/animosity. It is a crime on the nation which changed the political course of our country. No punishment can be too apt than death sentence.

hihihihi.... what then means? . .... I have seen a lot of extreme perverts and sadists here.... This sort of thinking will never help you in anyway. If you start seeing everything from this angle and this sort of mindset ......... ''then'' ..... surely you will not be ordinary..... but not even extra ordinary .... only indifferent...... and being indifferent is not going to help you in developing yourselves.. forget the nation

Well said. Is it a mere coincidence that after Rajiv's marriage with Sonia, all the members of that family, Indira, Sanjay & Rajiv were eliminated to advance her political entry. It does not bode well for our country.

According to IPC, life imprisonment means 14 years not the whole natural life like in the west.

Mysterious links
by Rash Group on Apr 30, 2008 05:58 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Read yesterday's New Indian Express which says that The Island newspaper from Sri Lanka has mentioned about LTTE chief's meeting with Sonia's mother Paulo Maino few years back. Coupled with Priyanka's secret meeting with Nalini, its not difficult to fathom who are behind that assassination.

first of all why the gandhi clan keeps insisting on forgiving her is a mystery--plus karunanidhi and those fanatical tamil groups who support LTTE will be behind this move: can you imagine any other country where the killers of a PM get away scot free! shame on sonia and MK

Meeting

Janatha Party president Dr. Subramanian Swamy has made grave revelations in his interview in a vernacular tamil magazine about the meeting (between Priyanka and Nalini). Although they sound a bit imaginery, the events could not be deemed improbable.

i understand we lost great leader and many died
and she paid for it being in jail 17 years for so many years,i am sure she did learn lesson and reformed,if her conduct is good in jail all these years she can released.what is the difference her and us if we donot pardon her after all this punishment, give them a chance they too can be good citizens.

Nalini's release request from Jail
by motilal kantharia on Apr 30, 2008 05:42 PM  Permalink

It is a good luck of Nalini that her death sentence has been converted into life imprissionment. She has got an opportunity to live. Her case is far better than Sarabjit.

She should say thanks to God almighty that she is living.
